BACKGROUND Cardioneuroablation(CNA)has shown encouraging results in patients with vasovagal syncope(VVS).However,data on different subtypes was *** This observational study retrospectively enrolled 141 patients[mean age:40±18 years,51 males(36.2%)]with the diagnosis of *** characteristics among different types of VVS and the outcomes after CNA were *** After a mean follow-up of 4.3±1.5 years,41 patients(29.1%)experienced syncope/pre-syncope events after ***/pre-syncope recurrence significantly differed in each subtype(P=0.04).The cardioinhibitory type of VVS had the lowest recurrence rate after the procedure(n=6,16.7%),followed by mixed(n=26,30.6%)and vasodepressive(n=9,45.0%).Additionally,a significant difference was observed in the analyses of the Kaplan-Meier survival curve(P=0.02).Syncope/pre-syncope burden was significantly reduced after CNA in the vasodepressive type(P<0.01).Vasodepressive types with recurrent syncope/pre-syncope after CNA have a lower baseline deceleration capacity(DC)level than those without(7.4±1.0 ms vs.9.0±1.6 ms,P=0.01).Patients with DC<8.4 ms had an 8.1(HR=8.1,95%CI:2.2-30.0,P=0.02)times risk of syncope/pre-syncope recurrence after CNA compared to patients with DC≥8.4 ms,and this association still existed after adjusting for age and sex(HR=8.1,95%CI:2.2-30.1,P=0.02).CONCLUSIONS Different subtypes exhibit different event-free *** vasodepressive type exhibited the lowest event-free rate,but those patients with DC≥8.4 ms might benefit from CNA.

Due to trauma and disease, bone defects endanger the healthy life of human beings. At present, the gold standard for bone defect repair is still autologous bone transplantation and allogeneic bone transplantation. However, its insufficient source, potential disease transmission and immune rejection limit its clinical application. Therefore, the development of bone repair materials plays an important role in promoting bone repair. As the interface between material and tissue, the surface of the material plays an important role in the reaction after implantation, which determines the effectiveness of defect repair treatment. With the development of surface engineering and technology, bone repair materials have developed from biological inertia to biological activity by endowing various biological functions by controlling the composition, topological morphology and structure of the material surface etc. The inspired biofunctionalisation of material surface includes the capacities of inducing osteogenesis, promoting angiogenesis, antibacterial, immune regulation etc., as well as integration of postoperative repair and treatment. The authors review the biofunctionalisation of biomaterial surface and the inspired biological effects for bone repair, mainly including physical and chemical properties of material surface to regulate osteogenesis, and functional strategy of bone repair material surface.

Biomaterials with exceptional performance are crucial for addressing the challenges of complex bone regeneration. Compared with traditional three-dimensional scaffolds, injectable microspheres enable new strategies for the treatment of irregular bone defects. Biodegradable poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) has found widespread applications as microcarriers of drugs, proteins, and other active macromolecules. Applied to the surface of poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) cage-like structures (PLGA-CAS), hydroxyapatite (HA) effectively reduces inflammation while enhancing biological effects. In this study, we loaded the surface of PLGA-CAS with micro- and nano-hydroxyapatite particles, referred to as mu HA/PLGA-CAS and nHA/PLGA-CAS, respectively. Subsequently, their material characteristics and biological effects were assessed. The incorporation of hydroxyapatite onto PLGA-CAS resulted in enhanced surface roughness and hydrophilicity, coupled with improved thermal stability and delayed degradation. Furthermore, mu HA/PLGA-CAS induced osteogenic differentiation of osteoblast precursor cells, while nHA/PLGA-CAS improved endothelial cell adhesion and stimulated angiogenic differentiation in vitro. Collectively, these findings suggest that mu HA/PLGA-CAS and nHA/PLGA-CAS, each with distinct characteristics, hold significant potential for application as microcarriers in various biomedical contexts.

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a highly heterogeneous tumor,with dynamic equilibrium and complex interplay between its intricate tumor nature and ambient tumor immune microenvironment(TIME).1 Elegant research has indicated that cancer stem cells,a small subset of neoplastic cells confined within dedicated niches,display stem cell-like properties and interact with cells in TIME,thereby imparting an indelible impact on stemness regulation,tumor heterogeneity,and cancer cell plasticity.2 Previous taxonomies solely from the perspective of stemness or TIME may introduce some degree of bias in the comprehension of HCC carcinogenesis,3,4 and thus it is of paramount importance to systematically consider tumor stemness and TIME as a whole to truly portray the biological landscape of HCC.

Sertoli cells are indispensable for guaranteeing normal spermatogenesis and male fertility. Although a huge number of long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs) are identified from developing porcine testicular tissues and have been predicted with crucial regulatory roles in spermatogenesis, their functions and regulatory mechanisms are still in infancy. Herein, we mainly explored the regulatory and functional roles of lncFPFSC in proliferation and apoptosis of immature porcine Sertoli cells. The results demonstrated that lncFPFSC was predominantly located in the cytoplasm of immature porcine Sertoli cells. lncFPFSC overexpression promoted cell cycle progression and cell proliferation,as well as inhibited cell apoptosis, whereas siRNA-induced lncFPFSC knockdown resulted in the opposite ***, lncFPFSC acted as a sponge for miR-326. Overexpression of miR-326 inhibited cell proliferation and induced cell apoptosis, which further abolished the effects of lncFPFSC overexpression. The euchromatic histone-lysine N-methyltransferase 2(EHMT2) gene was directly targeted by miR-326, and its mRNA and protein expressions were both negatively regulated by miR-326 in immature porcine Sertoli cells. Then, siRNA-induced EHMT2 knockdown resulted a similar effect of miR-326 inhibition. Collectively, lncFPFSC promoted proliferation and inhibited apoptosis in immature porcine Sertoli cells through modulating the miR-326/EHMT2 axis. This study expanded our understanding of non-coding RNAs in participating porcine spermatogenesis through deciding the fate of Sertoli cells, and the competing endogenous RNA(ceRNA) network, and provided new molecular markers to treat Sertoli cell disorder inducing male infertility.

Left atrial appendage aneurysm(LAAA)was first reported in the 1960s.1 LAAA is a rare condition,with just over 100 congenital or acquired cases reported to date.2 LAAA is frequently diagnosed incidentally during echocardiography or computed tomography(CT)*** patients with LAAA are asymptomatic,while a few exhibit nonspecific symptoms,such as dyspnea,palpitation,and chest *** with LAAA frequently present with atrial arrhythmias and systemic thromboembolism,such as stroke or multiorgan infarctions,due to the formation of a left atrial appendage thrombus.3 The lesion may be cured using aneurysm *** it as the potential cause of atrial arrhythmias and thromboembolism,the lesion must be identified on time and cured using a suitable treatment approach.

艺术经典作为一种特殊的历史流传物,皆由某种特定的物质材料或精神符号承载,经典建构因此在本质上也涉及文本传播问题。文本借助不同的媒介建构了差异性的文化生态,其媒介层面的表征是构成文本经典性的重要标志。以此为据,本文从“经典性”概念入手,逐层梳理了其与媒介合法性、跨媒介叙事、故事世界建构之间的辩证关系。媒介之于经典的基础作用由此可以得到必要说明;经典化历程所隐含的媒介辩证法也将得到有效揭示。文本经典地位的确立,既以其在历史流传过程中不断突破原有媒介的本真性、走向高度融合的跨媒介性为关键表征,又是借助跨媒介叙事所建构的故事世界、通过叙事元素叠加和形象谱系建构而不断得到强化的。
