With abundant potassium resources and high capacity,potassium metal batteries(PMBs)present a compelling option for the next generation of energy storage ***,PMBs suffer from an unstable anode interface caused by uncontrolled dendrite growth,which results in unsatisfactory cyclability and safety *** investigations suggest that significant progress has been made in enhancing the interfacial stability of *** various effective strategies for stabilizing interfaces can ultimately be attributed to the regulation of the sluggish ion transfer kinetics and irregular deposition,i.e.,the arrangement of ion transport behaviors at the *** modulation of ions transport rate and ions deposition directions makes it possible to obtain a dendrite-free and smooth deposition ***,the influencing factors and action mechanism of K^(+)interface transport behaviors are discussed to understand the nature of material design for constructing stable anode interfaces,including regulating the solvation and desolvation structures,accelerating K^(+)transport kinetics and controlling K^(+)deposition *** addition,the deficiencies and prospects of the research on electrolyte,separators and designed electrode involved in the manufacturing and testing and ion transport process of PMBs are *** review is expected to provide some possible directions for constructing dendrite-free interfaces in advanced PMBs-related research and offer significant insights for prospective experimental research and commercial applications.

Chiral metamaterials have been proven to possess many appealing mechanical phenomena, such as negative Poisson's ratio, high-impact resistance, and energy absorption. This work extends the applications of chiral metamaterials to underwater sound insulation. Various chiral metamaterials with low acoustic impedance and proper stiffness are inversely designed using the topology optimization scheme. Low acoustic impedance enables the metamaterials to have a high and broadband sound transmission loss(STL), while proper stiffness guarantees its robust acoustic performance under a hydrostatic pressure. As proof-of-concept demonstrations, two specimens are fabricated and tested in a water-filled impedance tube. Experimental results show that, on average, over 95% incident sound energy can be isolated by the specimens in a broad frequency range from 1 k Hz to 5 k Hz, while the sound insulation performance keeps stable under a certain hydrostatic pressure. This work may provide new insights for chiral metamaterials into the underwater applications with sound insulation.

The mechanical behavior and microstructural evolution of an Fe-30Mn-3Al-3Si twinninginduced plasticity(TWIP)steel processed using warm forging was *** is found that steel processed via warm forging improves comprehensive mechanical properties compared to the TWIP steel processed via cold rolling,with a high tensile strength(R_(m))of 793 MPa,a yield strength(R_(P))of 682 MPa,an extremely large R_(P)/R_(m)ratio as high as 0.86 as well as an excellent elongation rate of 46.8%.The microstructure observation demonstrates that steel processed by warm forging consists of large and elongated grains together with fine,equiaxed *** micro-defect configurations were also observed within the steel,including dense dislocation networks and a few coarse deformation *** the plastic deformation proceeds,the densities of dislocations and deformation twins significantly ***,a great number of slip lines could be observed in the elongated *** findings reveal that a much more dramatic interaction between microstructural defect and dislocations glide takes place in the forging sample,wherein the fine and equiaxed grains propagated dislocations more rapidly,together with initial defect configurations,are responsible for enhanced strength ***,larger,elongated grains with more prevalently activated deformation twins result in high plasticity.

Understanding temperature variability especially elevation dependent warming(EDW)in high-elevation mountain regions is critical for assessing the impacts of climate change on water resources including glacier melt,degradation of soils,and active layer *** means that temperature is warming faster with the increase of *** this study,we used observed temperature data during 1979-2017 from 23 meteorological stations in the Qilian Mountains(QLM)to analyze temperature trend with Mann-Kendall(MK)test and Sen’s slope *** showed that the warming trends for the annual temperature followed the order of T_min>T_mean>T_max and with a shift both occurred in *** and summer temperature have a higher increasing trend than that in autumn and winter.T_mean shifts occurred in 1996 for spring and summer,in 1997 for autumn and winter.T_max shifts occurred in 1997 for spring and 1996 for summer.T_min shifts occurred in 1997 for spring,summer and winter as well as in 1999 for *** mean diurnal temperature range(DTR)shows a significant decreasing trend(-0.18°C/10a)from 1979 to *** mean DTR shows a significant decreasing trend(-0.26°C/10a)from 1979 to 2017 with a shift occurred in *** removing longitude and latitude factors,we can learn that the warming enhancement rate of average annual temperature is 0.0673°C/km/10a,indicating that the temperature warming trend is accelerating with the continuous increase of *** increase rate of elevation temperature is 0.0371°C/km/10a in spring,0.0457°C/km/10a in summer,0.0707°C/km/10a in autumn,and 0.0606°C/km/10a in winter,which indicates that there is a clear EDW in the *** main causes of warming in the Qilian Mountains are human activities,cloudiness,ice-snow feedback and El Nino phenomenon.

The knowledge on the ionic structure of YCl_(3)-KCl molten system is of guiding significance for the practical production of yttrium metals and yttrium alloys via molten salt electrolysis using this system as *** this paper,the theoretical Raman spectra of the ionic groups which may exist in YCl_(3)-KCl molten system are simulated by quantum chemical calculation using Gaussian09 and Gauss View 5.0 programs based on density functional theory(DFT).Then the ionic structures of 20 mol%-60 mol%YCl_(3)-KCl molten salt systems are studied by comparing the Raman shift values of the bands in the theoretical Raman spectra of different ionic groups with the experimental spectra of this ***_(6)^(3-),Y_(2)Cl_(7)^(-),Y_(2)Cl_(8)^(2-)and Y_(2)Cl_(9)^(3-)are thought to exist in the molten *** the increase of temperature,the relative content of YCl_(6)^(3-)ionic groups increases while those of Y_(2)Cl_(7)^(-),Y_(2)Cl_(8)^(2-)and Y_(2)Cl_(9)^(3-)ionic groups ***,the"lifetime"of all ionic groups decreases within the temperature range of 692-730℃.Meanwhile,the relative contents of Y_(2)Cl_(7)^(-),Y_(2)Cl_(8)^(2-)and Y_(2)Cl_(9)^(3-)increase with the increase of YCl_(3)content,while that of YCl_(6)^(3-)*** wave function analysis of the four ionic groups(YCl_(6)^(3-),Y_(2)Cl_(7)^(-),Y_(2)Cl_(8)^(2-),and Y_(2)Cl_(9)^(3-))is carried out by Multiwfn *** net charge in each group,the direction of electron migration during the formation of each group,the sites where electrophilic and nucleophilic reactions are most likely to occur in each ionic group,and the order of bond breaking during chemical reactions for the four groups are obtained.

Study of deep transportation and plugging performance of deformable gel particles in porous media

Deformable gel particles(DGPs) possess the capability of deep profile control and flooding. However, the deep migration behavior and plugging mechanism along their path remain unclear. Breakage, an inevitable phenomenon during particle migration, significantly impacts the deep plugging effect. Due to the complexity of the process, few studies have been conducted on this subject. In this paper, we conducted DGP flow experiments using a physical model of a multi-point sandpack under various injection rates and particle sizes. Particle size and concentration tests were performed at each measurement point to investigate the transportation behavior of particles in the deep part of the reservoir. The residual resistance coefficient and concentration changes along the porous media were combined to analyze the plugging performance of DGPs. Furthermore, the particle breakage along their path was revealed by analyzing the changes in particle size along the way. A mathematical model of breakage and concentration changes along the path was established. The results showed that the passage after breakage is a significant migration behavior of particles in porous media. The particles were reduced to less than half of their initial size at the front of the porous media. Breakage is an essential reason for the continuous decreases in particle concentration, size, and residual resistance coefficient. However, the particles can remain in porous media after breakage and play a significant role in deep plugging. Higher injection rates or larger particle sizes resulted in faster breakage along the injection direction, higher degrees of breakage, and faster decreases in residual resistance coefficient along the path. These conditions also led to a weaker deep plugging ability. Smaller particles were more evenly retained along the path, but more particles flowed out of the porous media, resulting in a poor deep plugging effect. Gravitational waves(GWs) from compact binary coalescences encode the absolute luminosity distances of GW sources. Once the redshifts of GW sources are known, one can use the distance-redshift relation to constrain cosmological parameters. One way to obtain the redshifts is to localize GW sources by GW observations and then use galaxy catalogs to determine redshifts from a statistical analysis of redshift information of the potential host galaxies, commonly referred to as the dark siren method. The third-generation(3G) GW detectors are planned to work in the 2030s and will observe numerous compact binary *** these GW events as dark sirens requires high-quality galaxy catalogs from future sky survey projects. The China Space Station Telescope(CSST) will be launched in 2024 and will observe billions of galaxies within a 17500 deg^(2) survey area with redshift up to z ~ 4, providing photometric and spectroscopic galaxy catalogs. In this work, we simulate the CSST galaxy catalogs and the 5-year GW data from the 3G GW detectors and combine them to infer the Hubble constant(H_(0)). Our results show that the measurement precision of H0could reach the sub-percent level, meeting the standard of precision cosmology. We conclude that the synergy between CSST and the 3G GW detectors is of great significance in measuring the Hubble constant.

The traditional high-level Green-Naghdi(HLGN)model,which uses the polynomial as the shape function to approximate the variation of the horizontal-and vertical-velocity components along the vertical direction for each-fluid layer,can accurately describe the large-amplitude internal waves in a two-layer system for the shallow configuration(h_(2)/λ■1,h_(1)/λ■1).However,for the cases of the deep configuration(h_(2)/λ■1,h_(1)/λ=O(1)),higher-order polynomial is needed to approximate the variation of the velocity components along the vertical direction for the lower-fluid ***,however,introduces additional unknowns,leading to a significant increase in computational *** paper,for the first time,derives a general form of the HLGN model for a two-layer fluid system,where the general form of the shape function is used during the *** obtaining the general form of the two-layer HLGN equations,corresponding solutions can be obtained by determining the reasonable shape ***-amplitude internal solitary waves in a deep configuration are studied by use of two different HLGN *** of the two HLGN models shows that the polynomial as the shape function for the upper-fluid layer and the production of exponential and polynomial as the shape function for the lower-fluid layer is a good *** comparing with Euler’s solutions and the laboratory measurements,the accuracy of the two-layer HLGN model is verified.
