Osteoporosis(OP)is a prevalent metabolic bone *** drug therapy is essential to prevent bone loss in osteoporotic patients,current treatments are limited by side effects and high costs,necessitating the development of more effective and safer targeted *** a zebrafish(Danio rerio)larval model of osteoporosis,we explored the influence of the metabolite spermine on bone *** showed that spermine exhibited dual activity in osteoporotic zebrafish larvae by increasing bone formation and decreasing bone *** not only demonstrated excellent biosafety but also mitigated prednisolone-induced embryonic neurotoxicity and ***,spermine showcased protective attributes in the nervous systems of both zebrafish embryos and *** the molecular level,Rac1 was identified as playing a pivotal role in mediating the antiosteoporotic effects of spermine,with P53 potentially acting downstream of *** findings were confirmed using mouse(Mus musculus)models,in which spermine not only ameliorated osteoporosis but also promoted bone formation and mineralization under healthy conditions,suggesting strong potential as a bonestrengthening *** study underscores the beneficial role of spermine in osteoporotic bone homeostasis and skeletal system development,highlighting pivotal molecular *** their efficacy and safety,human endogenous metabolites like spermine are promising candidates for new anti-osteoporotic drug development and daily bone-fortifying agents.

A robust adaptive fuzzy control scheme is presented for a class of strict-feedback nonaffine nonlinear systems with modeling uncertainties and external disturbances by using a backstepping *** logic systems are employed to approximate the unknown parts of the desired virtual controls,and the approximation errors of fuzzy systems are only required to be *** function tanh（·） is introduced to avoid problems associated with sgn（·）.The tracking error is guaranteed to be uniformly ultimately bounded with the aid of an additional adaptive compensation ***＇s circuit system and R o¨ssler system are presented to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control technique.

Optimal Design of Co/In/Cu Sputtering Target Assembly Using Finite Element Method and Taguchi Method

Target assembly is a key consumable material for producing thin fi lm used in the electronic packaging and devices. The residual stresses induced during the process of soldering are detrimental to the performance of target assembly. In this work, the intensity and distribution of the soldering residual stress of Co/In/Cu target assembly subjected to a 20 W/(m^2 K) cooling condition corresponding to the actual air cooling process were studied, based on fi nite element simulation and Taguchi method, to optimize the sputtering target assembly. Effects of different control factors, including solder material, thickness of solder layer, target and backing plate, on the soldering residual stress of target assembly are investigated. The maximum residual stress is calculated as 9.28 MPa in the target located at 0.16 mm from target–solder layer interface and at a distance of 0.78 mm from symmetry axis. The optimal design in target assembly has the combination of indium solder material, cobalt target at 12 mm thick, solder layer at 0.8 mm thick, copper backing plate at 15 mm thick. Moreover, solder material is the most important factor among control factors in the target assembly.

Dysprosium Modification of Cobalt Ferrite Ionic Magnetic Fluids

Dysprosium composite cobalt ferrite ionic magnetic fluids were prepared by precipitation in the presence of Tri-sodium citrate. Influence of dysprosium modification on magnetic property is studied. The result shows that magnetic response toward exterior magnetic field can be improved by adding Dy3+. Studies also show that the increase of reaction temperature may improve the modification effect of dysprosium. By adding dysprosium ions, the average diameter of the magnetic nanoparticles will be decreased evidently. It is clear that the particles appear as balls. Cobalt ferrite with sizes of 12-15 nm, rare earth composite cobalt ferrite with sizes of 6-8 nm.

Three-stage Defensive Framework for Distributed Microgrid Control Against Cyberattacks

With the wide integration of various distributed communication and control techniques,the cyber-physical microgrids face critical challenges raised by the emerging *** paper proposes a three-stage defensive framework for distributed microgrids against denial of service(DoS)and false data injection(FDI)attacks,including resilient control,communication network reconfiguration,and switching of local *** resilient control in the first stage is capable of tackling simultaneous DoS and FDI attacks when the connectivity of communication network could be maintained under *** communication network reconfiguration method in the second stage and the subsequent switching of local control in the third stage based on the software-defined network(SDN)layer aim to cope with the network partitions caused by *** proposed defensive framework could effectively mitigate the impacts of a wide range of simultaneous DoS and FDI attacks in microgrids without requiring the specific assumptions of attacks and prompt detections,which would not incorporate additional cyberattack *** case studies using a 13-bus microgrid system are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed three-stage defensive framework against the simultaneous DoS and FDI attacks.

Comparison of Responses to Mn Deficiency Between the UK Wheat Genotypes Maris Butler, Paragon and the Australian Wheat Genotype C8MM

Wheat grown in Mn-deficient soil has been widely observed to produce much reduced yields. Breeding for Mn-efficient wheat genotypes adapted to Mn-deficient soils would represent a long-term solution for wheat agronomy. To characterize the physiological basis of Mn efficiency in wheat genotypes would facilitate the breeding programs for producing Mn-efficient wheat. Using a solution culture and a soil culture system in the present study, a Mn-efficient UK wheat genotype Maris Butler and a Mn-inefficient UK wheat genotype Paragon have been compared with a Mn-efficient Australian wheat genotype C8MM in the responses to Mn deficiency in order to characterize the Mn efficiency in these wheat genotypes. Results showed that in solution culture, Marls Butler grown under Mn deficiency had 77% relative dry matter yield of control plants that were grown under Mn sufficiency, whereas CSMM and Paragon had 60% and 58% relative dry matter yield of their respective controls. Results from the soil culture demonstrated that relative dry matter yield remained high for Maris Butler and C8MM （53% and 56%, respectively）, whereas the value for Paragon dropped to 33%. In terms of dry matter yield and photosynthetic efficiency, Maris Butler demonstrated Mn efficiency in both solution culture and soil culture, whereas C8MM showed Mn efficiency only in soil culture. Results also demonstrated that under Mn-depleted supply in soil, plants of C8MM had a significantly higher ability in Mn uptake, whereas plants of Marls Butler showed a higher internal Mn use efficiency in comparison with plants of Paragon. Results from the present study indicate that the ability of C8MM to accumulate higher amounts of Mn is the basis of the improved Mn efficiency of this genotype in comparison with Paragon, and in Marls Butler there is a higher internal use of Mn expressed as an improved photosynthetic efficiency in conferring its Mn efficiency. We propose an experimentally feasible scheme to implement the economical 1 → M phase-covariant telecloning based on cavity QED. By the resonant interaction of the atoms with cavity field of a high-Q cavity and the different coupling strength between atoms and cavity field, the scheme can generate quantum entanglement channel in one step. What is more, the operation time and steps do not increase with the increase of atoms.

Insights into heat management of hydrogen adsorption for improved hydrogen isotope separation of porous materials

Separating high-purity hydrogen isotopes from their mixture still remains a huge challenge due to almost the identical physicochemical *** importance has been attached to tune microstructure of porous materials,while heat management during hydrogen isotope separation tends to be ***,a porous material 5 A molecular sieve(5 A)is mixed with graphene(GE)under ball grinding to enhance its thermal conductivity for hydrogen isotope *** thermal conductivity increases from 0.19 W m^(-1)K^(-1)of neat 5 A,0.75 W m^(-1)K^(-1)of 5 A/GE2(2 wt%GE)to 1.23 W m^(-1)K^(-1)of 5 A/*** addition,introducing GE into 5 A promotes hydrogen adsorption and D_(2)/H_(2)adsorption ratio.5 A/GE2 shows the highest D_(2)adsorption capacity(5.40 mmol/g)and the largest D_(2)/H_(2)adsorption ratio(1.07)among the *** also displays a high efficiency of heat transfer that contributes to a low energy consumption due to the shortened cycle time during hydrogen isotope *** work offers new insights into material design for improved hydrogen isotope separation,which is greatly crucial to scientific and industrial applications,such as fuel self-sustaining in fusion reactors.

Twisted Helical Microfibers by Hierarchical Self-Assembly of an Aromatic Oligoamide Foldamer

A series of aromatic oligoamide foldamers based on 8-fluoro amino-quinoline carboxyl acid have been synthe- sized and characterized. Studies show that these foldamers self-assemble to form well-defined twisted helical mi- crofibers in chloroform-methanol （1 ： 1, V/V） binary solvent due to the intermolecular π-π stacking and van der Waals forces of aliphatic chains, which are supported by SEM, TEM and XRD. It is also revealed that the assembly morphologies show strong dependence on the length of alkyl chains.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of icariin on apoptosis and the expression of Fas, Fas ligand(Fas L), B cell lymphoma(Bcl-2), and Bcl-2-associated X protein(Bax) in CD4+ T lymphocytes from patients with ankylosing ***:Primary cultures of peripheral blood CD4+ T lymphocytes were established and treated with icariin at high, medium, and low doses(0.5,0.25, and 0.125 mg/mL).Sulfasalazine treated and helthy cells were used as *** of treated cells was determined by flow *** transcription polymerase chain reaction and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays were used to determine the effects of icariin on the expression of Fas, Fas L, Bcl-2, and *** activity of caspase 8 and caspase 3 was determined by a colorimetric ***:The m RNA and protein expression of Fas,and activity of caspase 8 and caspase 3 in CD4+ T lymphocytes were increased by icariin(P < 0.05).Conversely, the m RNA and protein expression of Bcl-2 was decreased(P < 0.05).The expression of Fas L and Bax were not significantly different between *** proapoptotic effects of icariin were ***:Icariin induces the apoptosis of CD4 + T cells from patients with AS comparing to normal ***, the induction of apoptosis may be the likely mechanism of action of icariin's antirheumatics activities.
