A novel red long-lasting phosphor, （YxGd1-x）2O3：Eu3＋, Sm3＋, Si4＋, Mg2＋, was synthesized by the co-precipitation method using oxalate precipitation as the precursor. X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electronic microscopy （SEM）, integrated thermal analyzer （TG）, and photoluminescence spectra （PL） as well as the ST-900PM weak light photometer were used to study the synthesis conditions, morphology, luminescence properties, and the decay time of the phosphor. The XRD results show that the products synthesized at 1400~C for 4 h have good crystallization without any detectable impurity phases. Based on the PL spectra, the optimal conditions are as the following. The molar ratios of Y3＋ to Gd3＋ and Eu3＋ to Sm3＋ are 2：8 and 3：1, respectively, and the contents of Mg2＋ and SiO2 are 5mol% and 3mol%, respectively. The decay time monitored by the ST-900PM weak light photometer is 7200 s, increasing 44% and 100%, respectively, compared with the Eu3＋ and Sm3＋ single-doped phosphors. The results indicate that the energy transfer is from Sm3＋ to Eu3＋ ion, and Sm3＋ is a good sensitizer to Eu3＋.

BACKGROUND Multiple primary malignancies(MPMs)refer to more than one primary malignancy in the same or separate organs of the same patient,and MPMs are considered when different histological characteristics are detected in epidemiological ***,we report a case presumed to be primary pancreatic cancer with multiple liver metastases by positron-emission tomography/computed tomography(PET/CT)and confirmed to be synchronous liver and pancreatic MPMs by endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration(EUSFNA).CASE SUMMARY A 50-year-old man was referred to our hospital due to abdominal discomfort for 2 *** CT at a local hospital revealed a pancreatic mass with multiple liver *** being transferred to our hospital,PET/CT confirmed all these lesions to have elevated metabolic activity,and therefore primary pancreatic cancer with multiple liver metastases was ***-guided liver aspiration unexpectedly found signet-ring cells with a high Ki-67 positive rate(20%),while EUS-guided pancreatic aspiration detected pancreatic neuroendocrine cells with a relatively low Ki-67 positive rate(1%).The final diagnosis from the multidisciplinary team was simultaneous liver and pancreatic *** patient returned to his local hospital for neoadjuvant chemotherapy and surgery,and he is still alive during the 6-mo postoperative *** Although rare,MPMs should be considered when treating pancreatic mass with suspected metastatic lesions,and EUS-FNA has proved minimally invasive and accurate.

BACKGROUND Left-sided portal hypertension(LSPH),also known as sinistral portal hypertension or regional portal hypertension,refers to extrahepatic portal hypertension caused by splenic vein obstruction or stenosis.N-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate(NBC)has been widely used in the endoscopic hemostasis of portal hypertension,but adverse events including renal or pulmonary thromboembolism,mucosal necrosis and gastrointestinal(GI)bleeding may occur after ***,we report successfully managing gastric variceal(GV)hemorrhage secondary to LSPH using modified endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)-guided selective NBC *** SUMMARY A 35-year-old man was referred to our hospital due to an upper GI *** revealed GV hemorrhage and computed tomography venography(CTV)confirmed *** patient requested endoscopic procedures and rejected surgical therapies including ***-guided selective NBC injections were performed and confluences of gastric varices were selected as the injection sites to reduce the injection ***“sandwich”method using undiluted NBC and hypertonic glucose was *** complications *** patient was followed up regularly after *** months later,the follow-up gastroscopy revealed firm gastric submucosa with no sign of NBC expulsion and the follow-up CTV showed improvements in *** recurrent GI hemorrhage was reported during this follow-up *** EUS-guided selective NBC injection may represent an effective and economical treatment for GV hemorrhage in patients with LSPH.

In motion estimation, illumination change is always a troublesome obstacle, which often causes severely per- formance reduction of optical flow computation. The essential reason is that most of estimation methods fail to formalize a unified definition in color or gradient domain for diverse environmental changes. In this paper, we propose a new solution based on deep convolutional networks to solve the key issue. Our idea is to train deep convolutional networks to represent the complex motion features under illumination change, and further predict the final optical flow fields. To this end, we construct a training dataset of multi-exposure image pairs by performing a series of non-linear adjustments in the traditional datasets of *** estimation. Our multi-exposure flow networks （MEFNet） model consists of three main components： low-level feature network, fusion feature network, and motion estimation network. The former two components belong to the contracting part of our model in order to extract and represent the multi-exposure motion features; the third component is the expanding part of our model in order to learn and predict the high-quality optical flow. Compared with many state- of-the-art methods, our motion estimation method can eliminate the obstacle of illumination change and yield optical flow results with competitive accuracy and time efficiency. Moreover, the good performance of our model is also demonstrated in some multi-exposure video applications, like HDR （high dynamic range） composition and flicker removal.

We propose an adaptive fractional window increasing algorithm (AFW) to improve the performance of the fractional window increment (FeW) in (Nahm et al., 2005). AFW fully utilizes the bandwidth when the network is idle, and limits the op-erating window when the network is congested. We evaluate AFW and compare the total throughput of AFW with that of FeW in different scenarios over chain, grid, random topologies and with hybrid traffics. Extensive simulation through ns2 shows that AFW obtains 5% higher throughput than FeW, whose throughput is significantly higher than that of TCP-Newreno, with limited modi-fications.

Male infertility caused by idiopathic oligoasthenospermia(OAT)is known as idiopathic male *** S-transferase(GST)and fluoride may play important roles in idiopathic male infertility,but their effects are still *** study examined the relationship between GST polymorphisms and fluoride-induced toxicity in idiopathic male infertility and determined the underlying ***,blood,and urine samples were collected from 560 *** levels were measured by a highly selective electrode method,and GST genotypes were identified using polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP).Semen parameters,DNA fragmentation index(DFI),mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP),and oxidative stress(OS)biomarkers were statistically assessed at the P<0.05 *** with healthy fertile group,semen parameters,fluoride levels,OS biomarkers,sex hormone levels,and MMP and DFI levels were lower in the idiopathic male infertility *** glutathione S-transferase M1(GSTM1[-])and glutathione S-transferase T1(GSTT1[-])or glutathione S-transferase P1(GSTP1)mutant genotypes,levels of semen fluoride,OS,MMP,and DFI were considerably higher,and the mean levels of sperm parameters and testosterone were statistically significant in GSTM1(+),GSTT1(+),and GSTP1 wild-type *** semen and blood fluoride levels were associated with oxidative stress in idiopathic male infertility *** fluoride in semen with the genotypes listed above was linked to reproductive quality in idiopathic male infertility *** conclusion,GST polymorphisms and fluorine may have an indicative relationship between reproductive quality and sex hormone levels,and OS participates in the development of idiopathic male infertility.

Using an effective adiabatic index γ_(eff) to mimic the feedback of efficient shock acceleration,we simulate the temporal evolution of a young type Ia supernova remnant (SNR) with two different background magnetic field(BMF) topologies:a uniform and a turbulent *** density distribution and magnetic-field characteristics of our benchmark SNR are studied with two-dimensional cylindrical magnetohydrodynamic *** γ_(eff)is considered,we find that:(1) the two-shock structure shrinks and the downstream magnetic-field orientation is dominated by the Rayleigh–Taylor instability structures;(2) there exists more quasi-radial magnetic fields inside the shocked region;and (3) inside the intershock region,both the quasi-radial magnetic energy density and the total magnetic energy density are enhanced:in the radial direction,with γ_(eff)=1.1,they are amplified about 10–26 times more than those with γ_(eff)=5/*** in the angular direction,the total magnetic energy densities could be amplified about 350 times more than those with γ_(eff)=5/3,and there are more grid cells within the intershock region where the magnetic energy density is amplified by a factor greater than 100.

Charge strippers play an essential role in heavy-ion accelerators by stripping the projectile ions to higher charge states to enhance the acceleration efficiency downstream of the *** the high-energy mode of the booster ring(BRing)of the high-intensity heavy-ion accelerator facility,the pre-accelerated ions from the iLinac will be stripped by a carbon foil to higher charge states and then injected into the *** key parameters of the stripper and stripped ions were calculated,and the influence of stripping on the beam quality was *** get high stripping efficiencies,the foil thicknesses and resultant charge state distributions for the typical ions were determined by the code *** equilibrium thickness was obtained for the U beam,while the stripper thicknesses for the Xe and Kr beams were determined based on a compromise between the stripped charge states and the stripping *** energy loss,energy straggling,and emittance growth due to stripping have a non-negligible impact on the transport of the stripped beams and the injection of the ***,these parameters were simulated by *** addition,the foil’s temperature evolution,which greatly affects the foil lifetime,was simulated by *** maximum temperature of the foil bombarded by the U and Xe beams with the nominal parameters will exceed the safe value in terms of the impact of evaporation on the foil’s *** the foil temperature constraint,the highest tolerable beam intensity and the injected ion number into the ring were derived for different beam *** results of this paper will present important reference data for the optimization design and commissioning of the beamline and injection to the BRing for the stripped ions.
