Rotating chutes are widely used to control the burden distribution and enhance the gas distribution in a blast *** chute cross-section shape has a significant effect on the particle movement and ***,this study developed a three-dimensional model of a blast furnace top with rotating chute using the discrete element *** effect of different chute shapes on the particle movement and radial burden distribution was then *** results showed that the burden stream height at the chute discharge agrees well with the burden stream thickness at the burden surface.A semicircular chute had the largest main striking point,where the chute discharge joins the burden surface,and trapezoidal and rectangular chutes had successively smaller *** semicircular chute helped to obtain a uniform radial size *** trapezoidal chute helped form an aggregated burden stream at low rotating speeds,while the rectangular shape chute achieved this at higher rotating speeds and different chute angles.

Peripheral nerves are fragile and easily damaged,usually resulting in nervous tissue loss,motor and sensory function *** in neuroscience and engineering have been significantly contributing to bridge the damage nerve and create permissive environment for axonal regrowth across *** have successfully designed two self-assembling peptides by modifying RADA 16-I with two functional motifs IKVAV and *** hydrogel formed when combing the two neutral solutions together,defined as RADA 16-Mix that overcomes the main drawback of RADA16-I associated with low *** the present study,we transplanted the RADA 16-Mix hydrogel into the transected rat sciatic nerve gap and effect on axonal regeneration was examined and compared with the traditional RADA16-I *** regenerated nerves were found to grow along the walls of the large cavities formed in the graft of RADA16-I hydrogel,while the nerves grew into the RADA 16-Mix hydrogel toward distal *** 16-Mix hydrogel induced more axons regeneration and Schwann cells immigration than RADA16-I hydrogel,resulting in better functional recovery as determined by the gait-stance duration percentage and the formation of new neuromuscular junction ***,our results indicated that the functional SAP RADA16-Mix nanofibrous hydrogel provided a better environment for peripheral nerve regeneration than RADA16-I hydrogel and could be potentially used in peripheral nerve injury repair.

Diffuse interstellar bands(DIBs)have always been a mysterious existence in astronomical *** this work,we provide more DIB samples to slightly uncover this *** the LAMOST medium-resolution survey(MRS)spectra,we detected three DIBsλ6379,λ6614,andλ6660,obviously superimposed on the spectra of11,003 *** spectra cover spectral types from O to K,which can provide a large number of candidates for further research on *** sample shows a clear positive correlation between the strength of DIBs and extinction,which agrees with the result in the *** addition,there exist two peaks in each of the velocity distribution of these three DIBs,and the velocity differences between two peaks of each pair are *** reason for the two velocity components is due to the Galactic rotation.

Vortex transmutation utilizes a periodic system, which not only enables the alteration of the topological charge(TC) of unstable input vortices but also facilitates their transformation into stable structures. This approach is crucial for investigating the characteristics of vortices in various wave systems. Here, we achieve acoustic vortex TC transmutation by employing a welldesigned dual-structured plate external system(DPES). The interactions between the acoustic vortex and the finite-order discrete rotational symmetry lead to the transformation of its topological charge when complete rotational symmetry is broken to Nthorder discrete symmetry. Our results experimentally demonstrate the acoustic vortex TC transmutation based on passive artificial structures, enabling numerous applications in particle manipulation and information multiplexing as well as advancing our understanding and control over free-space acoustic vortices.

In spinless systems,growing attention has recently been attracted to synthetic gauge fields,which redefine the fundamental crystal symmetries by utilizing the projective algebraic ***,synthetic gauge fields have been commonly investigated in single orbital systems,and explorations on hybrid orbitals remain elusive in ***,we report the experimental observation of hybrid topological phases induced by hybrid synthetic gauge flux,which is formed by the interaction between p and d orbitals embedded in acoustic *** breaking the translation symmetries of Lxand/or Ly,we unambiguously demonstrate the first-order M?bius edge states and higher-order corner *** work establishes a platform for seeking exotic topological phases induced by hybrid-orbitals interactions and initializing the framework of hybrid-orbitalsrelated topological *** applications can be anticipated in scenarios such as high-quality sensing and robust wave trapping due to the stepwise energy distribution of the hybrid topological phase.

Gas quenching and vacuum quenching process are widely applied to accelerate solvent volatilization to induce nucleation of perovskites in blade-coating *** this work,we found these two pre-crystallization processes lead to different order of crystallization dynamics within the perovskite thin film,resulting in the differences of additive *** then tailor-designed an additive molecule named 1,3-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)thiourea to obtain films with fewer defects and holes at the buried interface,and prepared perovskite solar cells with a certified efficiency of 23.75%.Furthermore,this work also demonstrates an efficiency of 20.18%for the large-area perovskite solar module(PSM)with an aperture area of 60.84 cm^(2).The PSM possesses remarkable continuous operation stability for maximum power point tracking of T_(90)>1000 h in ambient air.

Niobates are promising all-climate Li^(+)-storage anode material due to their fast charge transport,large specific capacities,and resistance to electrolyte ***,their moderate unit-cellvolume expansion(generally 5%–10%)during Li^(+)storage causes unsatisfactory long-term ***,“zero-strain”NiNb_(2)O_(6) fibers are explored as a new anode material with comprehensively good electrochemical *** Li^(+)storage,the expansion of electrochemical inactive NiO_(6) octahedra almost fully offsets the shrinkage of active NbO_(6) octahedra through reversible O *** superior volume-accommodation capability of the NiO_(6) layers guarantees the“zero-strain”behavior of NiNb_(2)O_(6) in a broad temperature range(0.53%//0.51%//0.74%at 25//−10//60℃),leading to the excellent cyclability of the NiNb_(2)O_(6) fibers(92.8%//99.2%//91.1%capacity retention after 1000//2000//1000 cycles at 10C and 25//−10//60℃).This NiNb_(2)O_(6) material further exhibits a large reversible capacity(300//184//318 mAh g−1 at 0.1C and 25//−10//60℃)and outstanding rate performance(10 to 0.5C capacity percentage of 64.3%//50.0%//65.4%at 25//−10//60℃).Therefore,the NiNb_(2)O_(6) fibers are especially suitable for large-capacity,fast-charging,long-life,and all-climate lithium-ion batteries.

The silica-based ceramic core has attracted much attention in the preparation of hollow blades due to its great *** this paper,the silica-based ceramic cores reinforced with ZrSiO_(4) were prepared by laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)combined with vacuum infiltration(VI).To enhance the infiltration effect,the pre-sintered bodies with high porosity and hydrophilicity were obtained by pre-sintering at 1100℃.Results showed that a large number of silica particles infiltrated into the pre-sintered *** infiltrated silica promoted the generation of liquid phase in sintering,thereby promoting the removal of pores and the connection of ***,the dispersed ZrSiO_(4) grains prevented the viscous flow of the liquid phase,thereby increasing the ***_(4) grains could hinder the propagation of cracks due to their high *** the addition of ZrSiO_(4) was 10 wt.%,room-temperature flexural strength of silica-based ceramic cores infiltrated with slurry S1(the mass ratio of silica sol to silica powder was 10:1)reached 17.21 MPa due to the reinforcement of sintering ***,high-temperature flexural strength reached 13.90 ***,the pre-sintering process could greatly improve the mechanical properties of silica-based ceramic cores prepared by LPBF-VI technology.

This study investigated the microstructure and hydrogen absorption properties of a rare-earth high-entropy alloy(HEA),*** indicated that the YGdTbDyHo alloy had a microstructure of equiaxed grains,with the alloy elements distributed *** hydrogen absorption,the phase structure of the HEA changed from a solid solution with an hexagonal-close-packed(HCP)structure to a high-entropy hydride with an faced-centered-cubic(FCC)structure without any secondary phase *** alloy demonstrated a maximum hydrogen storage capacity of 2.33 H/M(hydrogen atom/metal atom)at 723 K,with an enthalpy change(ΔH)of-141.09 kJ·mol^(-1)and an entropy change(ΔS)of-119.14 J·mol^(-1)·K^(-1).The kinetic mechanism of hydrogen absorption was hydride nucleation and growth,with an apparent activation energy(E_(a))of 20.90 kJ·mol^(-1).Without any activation,the YGdTbDyHo alloy could absorb hydrogen quickly(180 s at 923 K)with nearly no incubation period *** reason for the obtained value of 2.33 H/M was that the hydrogen atoms occupied both tetrahedral and octahedral *** results demonstrate the potential application of HEAs as a high-capacity hydrogen storage material with a large H/M ratio,which can be used in the deuterium storage field.

The Janus fabrics designed for personal moisture/thermal regulation have garnered significant attention for their potential to enhance human ***,the development of smart and dynamic fabrics capable of managing personal moisture/thermal comfort in response to changing external environments remains a ***,a smart cellulose-based Janus fabric was designed to dynamically manage personal moisture/*** cotton fabric was grafted with N-isopropylacrylamide to construct a temperature-stimulated transport ***,hydrophobic ethyl cellulose and hydrophilic cellulose nanofiber were sprayed on the bottom and top sides of the fabric to obtain wettability *** fabric exhibits anti-gravity directional liquid transportation from hydrophobic side to hydrophilic side,and can dynamically and continuously control the transportation time in a wide range of 3–66 s as the temperature increases from 10 to 40℃.This smart fabric can quickly dissipate heat at high temperatures,while at low temperatures,it can slow down the heat dissipation rate and prevent the human from becoming too *** addition,the fabric has UV shielding and photodynamic antibacterial properties through depositing graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets on the hydrophilic *** smart fabric offers an innovative approach to maximizing personal comfort in environments with significant temperature variations.
