Seawater battery is an advanced energy storage system that enables conversion of chemical energy to electricity by consuming metals,dissolved oxygen and seawater in anode,cathode and electrolyte,***,the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)activity and stability of electrocatalysts can be easily deactivated due to the severe Cl~-permeation and corrosion in seawater ***,we developed a structural buffer engineering strategy by spontaneously anchoring Cl~-intoα-Co(OH)_(2) as efficient and stable ORR electrocatalysts,in which the ultrathinα-Co(OH)_(2) nanosheets were synthesized using an ultrafast solution high-temperature shock(SHTS)*** large lattice space(~0.8 nm)of layeredα-Co(OH)_(2) ensured the spontaneously penetration of Cl~-into the lattice structure and replaced part of OH~-to formα-Co(OH)_(2-x)Cl_*** continuous leaching and compensating of saturated Cl inα-Co(OH)_(2-x)Cl_x could enhance the Cl~-corrosion resistance and modulate electronic structure of Co metallic sites,thus improving the ORR electrocatalytic activity and stability in seawater ***α-Co(OH)_(2-x)Cl_x seawater batteries display superior onset and half-wave potentials of 0.71 and 0.66 V,respectively,which are much better than the counterparts ofα-Co(OH)_(2) and ofβ-Co(OH)_(2) with no Cl~-penetrating and no buffer ***α-Co(OH)_(2-x)Cl_x-based seawater batteries display stable open-circuit potential of 1.69 V and outstanding specific capacity of 1345 mAh·g^(-1).

The synthetic effects of frequency and duty ratio on growth characteristics and corrosion properties of coating on Ti6Al4V fabricated by microarc oxidation are investigated comprehensively. Under the condition of uniform cumulating time of positive impulse width, the essence of altering frequency and duty ratio to determine the formation of coating is to vary the duration and interval time of positive pulse. The growth of coating is mainly controlled by duration time of positive pulse and hardly correlated to the interval time of positive pulse, while both duration and interval time of positive pulse have few influences on the morphology and phase structures of coating. The dynamic current is related to positive impulse width and the ratio of positive pulse on-time to pulse off-time. Regardless of uniform duration or interval time of positive pulse, the energy dissipation presents a descending tendency. The relationship between energy consumption and anticorrosion performance is contradictory, and obtaining excellent corrosion ratio and frequency can be designed purposefully to realize the resistance is bound to sacrifice lots of energy. Three low-carbon dual-phase （DP） steels with almost constant martensite contents of 20vo1% were produced by intercritical annealing at different heating rates and soaking temperatures. Microstructures prepared at low temperature （1043 K, FH1） with fast-heating （300 K/s） show banded ferrite/martensite structure, whereas those soaked at high temperature （1103 K, FH2） with fast heating reveal blocky martensite uniformly distributed in the fine-grained ferrite matrix. Their mechanical properties were tested under tensile conditions and compared to a slow-heated （5 K/s） reference material （SH0）. The tensile tests indicate that for a given martensite volume fraction, the yield strength and total elongation values are noticeably affected by the refinement of ferrite grains and the martensite morphology. Metallographic observations reveal the formation of microvoids at the ferrite/martensite interface in the SH0 and FH2 samples, whereas microvoids nucleate via the fracture of banded martensite particles in the FH1 specimen. In addition, analyses of the work-hardening behaviors of the DP microstructures using the differential Crussard-Jaoul technique demonstrate two stages of work hardening for all samples.

2205/Q235B clad steel plates were fabricated using a thermal *** metallographic microscope,scanning electron microscope,energy-dispersive spectrometer,shear test,electrochemical corrosion test and acid immersion test were used to study the influence of the pass reduction ratio on the microstructure and properties of 2205/Q235B clad steel *** results show that the clad steel plates had a good bonding surface when the pass reduction ratios were between 16.3%and 36.0%.There existed the mutual diffusion effect of elements near the bonding surface,which caused the long austenite strip on the side of 2205 stainless steel and the decarburization layer on the side of Q235B low-carbon *** transformation ofδferrite toγaustenite and the generation of the decarburization layer were promoted because of the lower pass reduction *** corrosio n resista nee of 2205 duplex-phases stainless steel worse ned by the decrease in 8 ferrite con *** increase in the decarburization layer thickness made the shear strength of the clad steel plates reduce from 453 to 390 *** potential of the decarburization layer was lower than that of 2205 stainless steel and Q235B low-carb on steel,which was easily corroded in the corrosive medium.

Pyrochlore titanate oxides, R2Ti2O7（R=Gd3＋, Tb3＋, Dy3＋）, were synthesized under mild hydrothermal conditions. The crystal growth of pyrochlore titanate oxides and taking place of chemical reaction in the hydrothermal processing were sensitive to the alkalinity, temperature, reaction time, the nature of the rare earth ion and the composition of initial reaction mixture. The as-prepared samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Raman spectrum and variable temperature dc magnetic susceptibility（Superconductivity quantum interference device, SQUIDS）. The magnetic studies gave 7.29×10-23 A·m2/Gd3＋ and -8.28 K, 8.75×10-23 A·m2/ Tb3＋ and -19.7 K, and 8.85×10-23 A·m2/Dy3＋ and 0.84 K effective moments and Weiss constants for Gd2Ti2O7, Tb2Ti2O7 and Dy2Ti2O7, respectively.

Co_(3)V_(2)O_(8)/Co_(3)O_(4)/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) composite was easily synthesized via one-step succinct-operated hydrothermal *** interconnected Co_(3)V_(2)O_(8)/Co_(3)O_(4) nanowires network can in-situ grow and anchor on the surface of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) via the strong Co-F bonds and contribute tremendously to depress Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) *** from the synergistically interplayed effect among the multiple interfaces and high conductivity of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) as well as outstanding stability of the as-designed nanostructure,the optimum Co_(3)V_(2)O_(8)/Co_(3)O_(4)/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)electrode reaches a commendable specific capacitance(up to 3800 mF·cm^(−2)),great rate capability(80%capacitance retention after 20-times current increasing),and preeminent cycling stability(95.4%/85.5%retention at 7000th/20,000th cycle).Moreover,the all-solid-state asymmetric supercapacitor based on Co_(3)V_(2)O_(8)/Co_(3)O_(4)/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) and active carbon can deliver a high energy density of 84.0μWh·cm^(−2) at the power energy of 3.2 mW·cm^(−2),and excellent cycling durability with 87.0%of initial capacitance retention upon 20,000 *** work provides a practicable pathway to tailor MXene-based composites for high-performance supercapacitor.

The corrosion behaviors of X65 steel in the artificial seawater at different hydrostatic pressures are investigated by potentiodynamic polarization measurements, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements and weight loss *** corroded morphologies and the corrosion products are also investigated by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis and Raman *** results show that the corrosion current increases as the hydrostatic pressure *** charge transfer resistance decreases as the hydrostatic pressure *** corrosion products are mainly composed of γ-FeOOH and Fe3O4 at the atmospheric pressure, while the main components are γ-FeOOH, Fe3O4, and γ-Fe2O3 at the high *** hydrostatic pressure accelerates the corrosion of X65 steel due to its effect on the chemical and physical properties of corrosion products, including the promoted reduction of γ-FeOOH and the wider and deeper cracks on the corrosion products layer.
