Leveraging crystal symmetry for thermoelectric performance optimization in cubic GeSe

In thermoelectrics,the manipulation of crystal symmetry is instrumental in optimizing the electrical and thermal transport *** this context,the present study explored the largely overlooked high-symmetry cubic GeSe,which presented larger band degeneracy than its widely studied medium-symmetry rhombohedral *** have successfully stabilized cubic Ge Se a ambient conditions through co-alloying with AgSnTe_(2)and *** incorporation of AgSnTe_(2)initiates the transition of GeSe from a low-symmetry orthorhombic to a mediumsymmetry rhombohedral phase,culminating in a highsymmetry cubic structure,underpinned by variation in chemical bonding *** this,the persistence of Ag_(2)Te precipitates impedes the total elimination of the residual orthorhombic phase due to the disparate chemical bonding mechanism between Ag_(2)Te and *** Bi into the rhombohedral-dominated(GeSe)_(0.7)(AgSnTe_(2))_(0.3)matrix leads to the dissolution of Ag_(2)Te precipitates,elimination of the residual orthorhombic phase,and the subsequent stabilization of the exclusive cubic *** to its orthorhombic counterpart,the cubic GeSe exhibits diminished bandgap and Ge vacancy formation energy,amplified band degeneracy,reduced sound velocity,intensified lattice anharmonicity and multiple phonon scattering centres engendering elevated carrier concentration and density-ofstates effective mass,alongside restrained lattice therma ***,a peak zT of 0.46 at 573 K is attained for cubic(Ge_(0.7)Bi_(0.3)Se)_(0.7)(AgSnTe_(2))_(0.3),signifying a ninefold increase relative to the initial orthorhombic Ge *** results illuminate the critical role of crystal symmetry manipulation in advancing the thermoelectric performance.

p-Benzoquinone(BQ)is a promising candidate for next-generation sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)because of its high theoretical specific capacity,good reaction reversibility,and high resource ***,practical application of BQ faces many challenges,such as a low discharge plateau(~2.7 V)as cathode material or a high discharge plateau as anode material compared with inorganic materials for SIBs and high solubility in organic electrolytes,resulting in low power and energy ***,tetrahydroxybenzoquinone tetrasodium salt(Na_(4)C_(6)O_(6))is synthesized through a simple neutralization reaction at low *** four-ONa electron-donating groups introduced on the structure of BQ greatly lower the discharge plateau by over 1.4 V from ~2.70 V to ~1.26 V,which can change BQ from cathode to anode material for *** the same time,the addition of four-ONa hydrophilic groups inhibits the dissolution of BQ in the organic electrolyte to a certain *** a result,Na_(4)C_(6)O_(6) as the anode displays a moderate discharge capacity and cycling performance at an average work voltage of ~1.26 V versus Na/Na^(+).When evaluated as a Na-ion full cell(NIFC),a Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)||Na_(4)C_(6)O_(6) NIFC reveals a moderate discharge capacity and an average discharge plateau of ~1.4 *** research offers a new molecular structure design strategy for reducing the discharge plateau and simultaneously restraining the dissolution of organic electrode materials.

Model Predictive Control of Nonlinear Systems: Stability Region and Feasible Initial Control

This paper proposes a new method for model predictive control （MPC） of nonlinear systems to calculate stability region and feasible initial control profile/sequence, which are important to the implementations of MPC. Different from many existing methods, this paper distinguishes stability region from conservative terminal region. With global linearization, linear differential inclusion （LDI） and linear matrix inequality （LMI） techniques, a nonlinear system is transformed into a convex set of linear systems, and then the vertices of the set are used off-line to design the controller, to estimate stability region, and also to determine a feasible initial control profile/sequence. The advantages of the proposed method are demonstrated by simulation study.

It is very hard to obtain uniformly dispersed conductive polymer nanocomposites because of the accumulation tendency of *** current work,the aramid nanofiber/silver nanowire composite film was prepared by mixing evenly through the solution and then vacuum *** composite film exhibited desirable physical properties such as high tensile strength (121 MPa),outstanding electrical conductivity (652 S·cm^(-1)),and thermal conductivity (0.12 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)).These endow our aramid nanofiber/silver nanowire composite film with possible applications in infrared stealth and harsh environments.

目的:了解中学生接触不同类型媒体性相关信息的情况及其对性与生殖健康知识的影响。方法:在上海市某区6所中学随机抽取1 403名中学生进行匿名电子问卷调查。结果:调查对象平均每日接触各类媒体的时间中位数和四分位数间距分别为190.2 min和107.1-342.9 min,其中在网络上花费时间最多;对象从不同媒体获取过性相关信息的比例不同,排在前3位的媒体是电视、电影、网络,获取的性相关信息主要为生理卫生知识,其次为处理恋爱/婚姻/家庭关系;19%左右的调查对象接触过色情信息。多因素分析结果显示,从电视、电影或网络获取过性相关信息、接触过色情信息的调查对象,其性与生殖健康知识得分较高;电视、电影或网络对中学生性与生殖健康知识的影响程度仅次于学校性教育;从小说/书/期刊/杂志、报纸获取过性相关信息与对象性与生殖健康知识之间无统计学关联。结论:电视、电影或网络是中学生获取性与生殖健康知识的重要途径,也是中学生性与生殖健康知识水平的影响因素。

Rice Yield and Water Use as Affected by Soil Management Practices

A field experiment was conducted at the Shenyang Experimental Station ofEcology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to study the effects of soil management practices on water useand rice (Oryza sativa L.) yield in an aquic brown soil during 2001 and 2002. A completely randomexperimental design with three replications was employed, having four soil management practices astreatments, namely: an undisturbed plow layer (CK), a thin plastic film (TN), a thick plastic film(TI) and subsoil compacting (CP). Results indicated no significant differences among all treatmentsfor rice biomass and grain yields. Also, water consumption was about the same for treatments TN andCK, however the treatments TI and CP were much lower with more than 45% and 40% of the irrigationwater in the treatments TI and CP, respectively, saved each year compared to CK. Therefore, wateruse efficiency was higher in the treatments TI and CP. These results will provide a scientific basisfor the water-saving rice cultivation.

Primary gastrointestinal mantle lymphoma with massive bleeding: a case report and literature review

The incidence of primary gastrointestinal lymphomas （PGILs） has been increasing. The clinical presentation and treatment of PGIL are distinct from those of nodular lymphomas. Symptoms include abdominal pain, abdominal mass, changes in bowel habits, obstruction, and bleeding. Less life- threatening gastrointestinal bleeding occurs after chemotherapy and few reports have focused on the bleeding of PGILs. We report a case of severe gastrointestinal bleeding caused by low-dose chemotherapy, which was dramatically improved by rituximab monotherapy treatment. The prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding in PGIL should be given much attention.

This study aims to investigate the effects of heat treatments on the microstructure ofγ-TiAl *** Ti-47Al-2Cr-2Nb alloy ingots were manufactured by casting method and then heat-treated in two types of heat *** microstructures were studied by both optical and scanning electron *** chemical compositions of two ingots were determined as *** ingot with lower Al content only obtains lamellar structures while the one higher in Al content obtains nearly lamellar and duplex structures after heat treatment within1270 to 1185℃.A small amount of B2 phase is found to be precipitated in both as-cast and heat-treated *** are distributed at grain boundaries when holding at a higher temperature,such as 1260℃.However,B2 phase is precipitated at grain boundaries and in colony interiors simultaneously after heat treatments happened at 1185℃.Furthermore,the effects of heat treatments on grain refinement and other microstructural parameters are discussed.

Combined Subtemporal-Supralabyrinthine Approach to Geniculate Ganglion for Management of Facial Paralysis in Temporal Bone Fracture

Objective To investigate the clinical outcomes of facial never decompression via a combined subtemporal-su- pralabyrinthine approach to geniculate ganglion for management of facial paralysis in temporal bone fracture. Methods Eighteen patients with unilateral facial paresis due to temporal bone fracture were treated between March 2003 and March 2011. Facial function was House-Braekmann（HB） grade m in 6 patients, HB grade V in 9 patients and HB grade VI in 3 patients. The preoperative mean air conduction threshold was 52 dB HL for the 15 cases with longitudinal temporal bone fracture and showed severe sensorineural heating loss in the 3 cases with transverse temporal bone fracture. Fracture lines were detected in 15 cases on temporal bone axial CT scans and ossicular disruption was determined in 11 cases by virtual CT endoscopy. The geniculate ganglion or the tympanic mastoid segment of the facial nerve showed an irregular morphology on curved planar reformation images of the facial nerve canal. After an intact canal wall mastoi- do-epitympanectomy, the ossicular chain recess was opened by drilling through the was disrupted, the incus was removed to damage was evaluated. If the ossicular chain was intact, the supralabyrinthine cells between the tegmen tympani and ossicular chain. If the ossicular chain access the supralabyrinthine recess. The geniculate ganglion and the distal labyrinthine segment of the facial nerve were exposed. After completing facial nerve decompression, the dislocated incus was replaced, or a fractured incus was reshaped to bridge the space between the malleus and the stapes. Results Pronounced ganglion geniculatum swelling was found in 15 cases of longitudinal temporal bone fracture, with greater petrosus nerves damage in 3 cases and bleeding in 5 cases.
