Safety remains a persistent challenge for high-energy-density lithium metal batteries（LMBs）.The development of safe and non-flammable electrolytes is especially important in harsh conditions such as high ***,a flame-retardant,low-cost and thermally stable long chain phosphate ester based（tributyl phosphate,TBP） electrolyte is reported,which can effectively enhance the cycling stability of highly loaded high-nickel LMBs with high safety through co-solvation *** interfacial compatibility between TBP and electrode is effectively improved using a short-chain ether（glycol dimethyl ether,DME）,and a specially competitive solvation structure is further constructed using lithium borate difluorooxalate（LiDFOB） to form the stable and inorganic-rich electrode *** from the presence of the cathode electrolyte interphase（CEI） and solid electrolyte interphase（SEI） enriched with LiF and LixPOyFz,the electrolyte demonstrates excellent cycling stability assembled using a 50 μm lithium foil anode in combination with a high loading NMC811(15.4 mg cm-2) cathode,with 88% capacity retention after 120 ***,the electrolyte exhibits excellent high-temperature characteristics when used in a 1-Ah pouch cell（N/P=0.26）,and higher thermal runaway temperature（238℃） in the ARC（accelerating rate calorimeter） demonstrating high *** novel electrolyte adopts long-chain phosphate as the main solvent for the first time,and would provide a new idea for the development of extremely high safety and high-temperature electrolytes.

The yield of castor is influenced by the type of inflorescence and the proportion of female ***,there are few studies on the genetic mechanism involved in the development and differentiation of castor *** this study,we performed transcriptomic analyses of three different phenotypes of inflorescences at the five-leaf *** comparison to the MI(complete pistil without willow leaves),290 and 89 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were found in the SFI(complete pistil with willow leaves)and the BI(monoecious inflorescence),*** the DEGs,104 and 88 were upregulated in the SFI and BI,respectively,compared to the *** addition,186 DEGs and 1 DEG were downregulated in the SFI and BI compared to the ***,we conducted GO and KEGG enrichment analyses of the *** comparison to the MI,the SFI and BI exhibited the enrichment of functional branches in DEGs,specifically in pollen wall assembly,pollen development,and cellular component assembly involved in *** our study,RADL5 showed low expression levels between SFI-vs.-MI *** addition,we found that the expression of NAC in the SFI differed from that in MI and BI,and some genes related to hormonal signaling changed their expression levels during inflorescence *** results reveal the genetic mechanism of sex genotypes in castor,which will not only guide researchers in the breeding of castor but also provide a reference for genetic research on other flowering plants.

We report here the synthesis and characterization of two new members of the M2 E 12 family of endohe-dral Zintl clusters,[Fe_(2)Sn_(4)Bi_(8)]^(3-)and[Cr_(2)Sb_(12)]^(3-),both of which contain open-shell metal dimers encap-sulated inside a triple-decker cluster of main-group *** 75-electron[Fe_(2)Sn_(4)Bi_(8)]^(3-)cluster has a D4h-symmetric structure,while[Cr_(2)Sb_(12)]^(3-),despite having the same 75-electron count,is strongly dis-torted to a geometry that resembles a CrSb_(8)crown capped by a CrSb_(4)*** structural differences between the two are driven by the increasing availability of 3d electron density in the earlier transi-tion metal,which leads,ultimately,to different electronic configurations in the two *** trends precisely mirror those observed in the ME_(10)and ME_(12)families containing a single transition metal ion.

Reconstruction of biomimetic ionic channels within covalent organic frameworks for ultrafast and selective uranyl capture

The efficient extraction of uranium, as the primary component of nuclear energy, holds significant implications. Drawing inspiration from the charge interaction observed in biological ion channels, we encapsulated negatively charged polystyrene sulfonate(PSS) or sodium polystyrene carboxylate(PVBA) into the nanochannels of amidoxime functionalized covalent organic framework(COF-AO) in-situ to alter the cavity environment of COF-AO. The synthesized COF-AO-PSS and COF-AO-PVBA are used for ultra-fast and highly selective uranium recovery. The negatively charged PSS/PVBA was confined in the COF-AO channel providing the driving force for uranium transport and blocking other ions, thus creating a highly selective “uranium highway”. Additionally, introducing sulfonate groups or carboxyl groups into COF-AO offers supplementary coordination environments and weak interactions with uranium. Due to charge-assisted migration and various interaction mechanisms, both COF-AO-PSS and COF-AO-PVBA exhibit faster adsorption kinetics and higher selectivity compared to COF-AO alone. Their adsorption capacities are 3.8 times and 2.4 times that of COF-AO alone respectively which highlights the necessity for constructing biomimetic ion channels in uranium adsorption processes. This work presents a bionic adsorbent based on covalent organic frameworks(COFs) for the first time, overcoming environmental and equipment limitations associated with traditional photocatalysis and electrocatalysis methods for uranium capture, opening up new avenues for designing multifunctional materials that mimic biological systems.

In 2022,Yellow Sea green tide caused by Ulva prolifera reached a historic minimum and the coastal areas of Shandong Peninsula were less ***,the largest amount of seaweed biomass has been washed ashore on Lianyungang and Rizhao coasts since *** studied the development pattern of Yellow Sea green tide in 2022,and analyzed the key environmental factors on the growth and drifting,then discussed the possible reasons that resulted in the massive stranding of green tide biomass in Lianyungang and *** show under the combined influence of the east to southeast winds and currents with shoreward anomalies,green tide drifted to the coastal waters between Shandong and Jiangsu provinces and the distribution areas located westward compared with previous years(2008–2021).Floating *** rafts from the coastal waters of Binhai and Sheyang drifted continuously into the coastal waters of Lianyungang and Rizhao,providing important supplements for Yellow Sea green *** green tide in 2022 distributed close to the coastal waters,the abundant nutrients might support their continuous high growth *** addition,the amount of rainfall around Shandong Peninsula from late June to early July were significantly higher than in previous years,which might promote the development of green tide to some extent.

Interpreting genes of interest is essential for identifying molecular mechanisms, but acquiring such information typically involves tedious manual retrieval. To streamline this process, thefanyi package offers tools to retrieve gene information from sources like National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), significantly enhancing accessibility. Additionally, understanding the latest research advancements and sharing achievements are crucial for junior researchers. However, language barriers often restrict knowledge absorption and career development. To address these challenges, we developed thefanyi package, which leverages artificial intelligence (AI)-driven online translation services to accurately translate among multiple languages. This dual functionality allows researchers to quickly capture and comprehend information, promotes a multilingual environment, and fosters innovation in academic community. Neuronal growth, extension, branching, and formation of neural networks are markedly influenced by the extracellular matrix—a complex network composed of proteins and carbohydrates secreted by cells. In addition to providing physical support for cells, the extracellular matrix also conveys critical mechanical stiffness cues. During the development of the nervous system, extracellular matrix stiffness plays a central role in guiding neuronal growth, particularly in the context of axonal extension, which is crucial for the formation of neural networks. In neural tissue engineering, manipulation of biomaterial stiffness is a promising strategy to provide a permissive environment for the repair and regeneration of injured nervous tissue. Recent research has fine-tuned synthetic biomaterials to fabricate scaffolds that closely replicate the stiffness profiles observed in the nervous system. In this review, we highlight the molecular mechanisms by which extracellular matrix stiffness regulates axonal growth and regeneration. We highlight the progress made in the development of stiffness-tunable biomaterials to emulate in vivo extracellular matrix environments, with an emphasis on their application in neural repair and regeneration, along with a discussion of the current limitations and future prospects. The exploration and optimization of the stiffness-tunable biomaterials has the potential to markedly advance the development of neural tissue engineering.

Impact of a 12-wk physical conditioning program on the aerobic capacity of aviation cadets
