Li2MnO3-doped spinel LiMn2O4 composites were synthesized by sol-gel method to improve the electro- chemical performance of LiMn2O4. The microstructures, morphologies and electrochemical performance of the obtained xLi2MnO3.（1-x）LiMnEO4 composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction（XRD）, scan electron microsco- py（SEM） and a galvanostatic charge-discharge process. It was found that both Li2MnO3 and LiMn2O4 components exist in xLi2MnO3·（1-x）LiMn204（O〈x〈1） composites. The 0.3Li2MnO3·0.7LiMnEO4 composite shows the optimized electrochemical performance, including discharge capacity and cycle stability. It was demonstrated that LiEMnO3-doped spinel LiMn204 cathode material can work at wide potential window with quite good capacity reten- tion and considerably larger reversible capacity compared to single-phase LiMn204 component.

The present study aims to examine the suitability of two commonly used assumptions that simplify modelling metoceanconditions for designing offshore wind turbines in the South China Sea (SCS). The first assumption assumes thatjoint N-year extreme wind and wave events can be independently estimated and subsequently combined. The secondone assumes peak wind and waves can be modelled as occurring simultaneously during a tropical cyclone (TC) *** better understand the potential TC activity, a set of 10000 years synthetic TC events are generated. The wind fieldmodel and the Mike 21 spectral wave model are employed to model the TC-induced hazards. Subsequently, theeffect of the assumptions is evaluated by analyzing the peak structural response of both monopile and semisubmersibleoffshore wind turbines during TC events. The results demonstrate that the examined assumptions are generally *** assessing the implications of these assumptions, valuable insights are obtained, which can inform andimprove the modelling of TC-induced hazards in the SCS region.

Efficient utilization of sinter return fine is an important measure to reduce cost,increase efficiency,save energy and reduce emission.A new path of green and efficient utilization of return fine was proposed to produce composite *** metallurgical properties of composite pellets under the condition of hydrogen-rich blast furnace were *** experimental results indicate that the coated concentrate was consolidated for the composite pellets through normal Fe_(2)O_(3) *** the surface of core return fine,the liquid phase formed due to its low-melting point,assimilated the adjacent concentrate,and then consolidated with the temperature *** with regular pellets,the com-pressive strength and reduction swelling index of composite pellets were decreased,but the reducibility index and softening-melting properties were *** addition,the reduction degradation index of composite pellets was sig-nificantly higher than that of ***,adding composite pellets was conducive to indirect reduction in blast furnace,reducing fuel ratio and improving production *** to the effect of the roasting system on the metallurgical properties,the roasting temperature and time were determined as 1250℃and 30 min,*** composite pellets can be produced under the traditional pelletizing process.

Alzheimer＇s disease （AD） has been associated with magnesium ion （Mg2＋） deficits and interleukin-1β（IL-1β） elevations in the serum or brains of AD patients. However, the mechanisms regulating IL-1β expression during Mg2＋ dyshomeostasis in AD remain unknown. We herein studied the mechanism of IL-1β reduction using a recently developed compound, magnesium-L-threonate （MgT）. Using human glioblastoma A172 and mouse brain DIA glial cells as an in vitro model system, we delineated the signaling pathways by which MgT suppressed the expression of IL-1β in glial cells. In detail, we found that MgT incubation stimulated the activity of extracellular signal-regulated protein kinases I and 2 （ERK1/2） and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma （PPARγ） signaling pathways by phosphorylation, which resulted in IL-1β suppression. Simultaneous inhibition of the phosphorylation of ERK1/2 and PPARγ, induced IL-1β upregulation in MgT-stimulated glial cells. In accordance with our in vitrodata, the intracerebroventricular （i.c.v） injection of MgT into the ventricles of APP/PS1 transgenic mice and treatment of Aβ precursor protein （APP）/PS1 brain slices suppressed the mRNA and protein expression of IL-1β. These in vivo observations were further supported by the oral administration of MgT for 5 months. Importantly, Mg2＋ influx into the ventricles of the mice blocked the effects of IL-1β or amyloid p-protein oligomers in the cerebrospinal fluid. This reduced the stimulation of IL-1β expression in the cerebral cortex of APP/PS1 transgenic mice, which potentially contributed to the inhibition of neuroinflammation.

A nonlinear dynamic simulation model based on coordinated control of speed and flow rate for the molten salt reactor and combined cycle systems is proposed here to ensure the coordination and stability between the molten salt reactor and power *** model considers the impact of thermal properties of fluid variation on accuracy and has been validated with *** study reveals the capability of the control system to compensate for anomalous situations and maintain shaft stability in the event of perturbations occurring in high-temperature molten salt tank outlet ***,the control system’s impact on the system’s dynamic characteristics under molten salt disturbance is also *** results reveal that after the disturbance occurs,the controlled system benefits from the action of the control,and the overshoot and disturbance amplitude are positively correlated,while the system power and frequency eventually return to the initial *** simulation model provides a basis for utilizing molten salt reactors for power generation and maintaining grid stability.

Ischemic stroke is one of the leading causes of death *** the post-stroke stage,cardiac dysfunction is common and is known as the brain-heart *** mellitus worsens the post-stroke ***-induced systemic inflammation is the major causative factor for the sequential complications,but the mechanism underlying the brain-heart interaction in diabetes has not been *** NLRP3(NLR pyrin domain-containing 3) inflammasome,an important component of the inflammation after stroke,is mainly activated in M1-polarized *** this study,we found that the cardiac dysfunction induced by ischemic stroke is more severe in a mouse model of type 2 ***,M1-polarized macrophage infiltration and NLRP3 inflammasome activation increased in the cardiac ventricle after diabetic ***,the NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor CY-09 restored cardiac function,indicating that the Ml-polarized macrophage-NLRP3 inflammasome activation is a pathway underlying the brain-heart interaction after diabetic stroke.
