The high-value utilization of manganese ore tailings is of great significance for saving mineral resources and achieving environmental ***,an olivine LiFe_(0.5)Mn_(0.5)PO_(4)/rGO composite is synthesized by a simple precipitation method and subsequent high-temperature calcination process using the manganese ore tailings as raw *** prepared LiFe_(0.5)Mn_(0.5)PO_(4)/rGO composite exhibits superior cycling stability(with 113.5 mAh·g^(-1)after 300 cycles at1.0C(1.0C=170 mA·g^(-1)))and superior rate performance(with 65.6 mAh·g^(-1)at 10.0C).Ex-situ XRD and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)analyses evidence that the LiFe_(0.5)Mn_(0.5)PO_(4)/rGO material has excellent structural stability and electrochemical reversibility during charge and discharge ***,the LiFe_(0.5)Mn_(0.5)PO_(4)/rGO//graphite full Li-ion battery also exhibits excellent cycling stability indicating its potential commercialization value.

G349.7+00.2 is a young Galactic supernova remnant(SNR)with a mushroom morphology in radio and X-rays,and it has been detected across the entire electromagnetic spectrum from radio to high energyγ-***,the remnant is interacting with a molecular cloud based on the observations in the radio and infrared *** reason for the formation of the periphery and the dynamical evolution of the remnant is investigated using 3D hydrodynamical(HD)*** the assumption that the supernova ejecta is evolved in the medium with a density gradient,the shell is composed of two hemispheres with different radii,and the smaller hemisphere is in relatively dense *** resulting periphery of remnant is consistent with detected ones,and it can be concluded that the peculiar periphery of G349.7+00.2 can be reproduced as the remnants interacting with the medium with a density gradient.

N-Alkylated benzimidazole derivatives have been synthesized via the aza-Michael addition reactions of1H-benzimidazoles to a,b-unsaturated compounds in water and palladium acetate obviously promoted these transformations. The reported method, overcoming the inactivation of palladium under the equivalent nitrogenous conditions, has the advantages of convenient manipulation, atom-economy, as well as environmental friendliness. The bioactive results showed that butyl 3-（5,6-dimethyl-1Hbenzo[d]imidazol-1-yl）propanoate（3c） exhibited excellent inhibitory activity against Bacillus subtilis（MIC = 16 mg/m L） and Bacillus proteus（MIC = 8 mg/m L）. Therefore, this process would facilitate the construction of various potential bioactive compounds based on the benzimidazole scaffold under mild conditions.

The monopile is the most common foundation to support offshore wind *** the marine environment,local scour due to combined currents and waves is a significant issue that must be considered in the design of wind turbine *** this paper,a full-scale numerical model was developed and validated based on field data from Rudong,*** scour development around monopiles was investigated,and the effects of waves and the Reynolds number Re were *** formulas for predicting the scour depth in the literature have been *** is found that waves can accelerate scour development even if the KC number is small(0.78our depth based on the average pile Reynolds number(Rea)is proposed and validated with field *** equilibrium scour depth predicted using the proposed equation is evaluated and compared with those from nine equations in the *** is demonstrated that the values predicted from the proposed equation and from the S/M(Sheppard/Melville)equation are closer to the field data.

We successfully constructed TiO_(2)-pillared multilayer graphene nanocomposites(T-MLGs)via a facile method as follows:dodecanediamine pre-pillaring,ion exchange(Ti4+pillaring),and interlayer in-situ formation of TiO_(2) by hydrothermal ***_(2) nanoparticles were distributed uniformly on the graphene *** special structure combined the advantages of graphene and TiO_(2) *** a result,T-MLGs with 64.3wt%TiO_(2) showed the optimum photodegradation rate and adsorption capabilities toward *** photodegradation rate of T-MLGs with 64.3wt%TiO_(2) was 78%under light-emitting diode light irradiation for 150 ***,the pseudofirst-order rate constant of T-MLGs with 64.3wt%TiO_(2) was 3.89 times than that of pristine TiO_(2).The composites also exhibited high stability and reusability after five consecutive photocatalytic *** work provides a facile method to synthesize semiconductor-pillared graphene nanocomposites by replacing TiO_(2) nanoparticles with other nanoparticles and a feasible means for sustainable utilization of photocatalysts in wastewater control.

Kevlar fiber （KF） is a synthesized product with strong mechanical properties. We used KF as a reinforcement to improve the mechanical properties of wood-flour/polypropylene （WF/PP） composites. KF was pretreated with NaOH to improve its compatibility with the thermoplastic matrix. Maleated polypropylene （MAPP） was used as a coupling agent to improve the interfacial adhesion between KF, WF, and PP. Incorporation of KF improved the mechanical properties of WF/PP composites. Treatment of KF with NaOH resulted in further improvement in mechanical strength. Addition of 3% MAPP and 2% hydrolyzed KF （HKF） led to an increment of 93.8% in unnotched impact strength, 17.7% in notched impact strength, 86.8% in flexure strength, 50.8% in flexure modulus, and 94.1% in tensile strength compared to traditional WF/PP composites. Scanning electron microscopy of the cryo-fractured section of WF/PP showed that the HKF surface was rougher than the virgin KF, and the KF was randomly distributed in the composites, which might cause a mechanical interlocking between KF and polypropylene molecules in the composites.

Abstract The overall crystallization kinetics and spherulite morphologies of miscible poly（ethylene oxide）（PEO）/1-butyl-3- methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate （[BMIM][PF6]） mixtures were studied by differential scanning calorimetry （DSC）, polarized optical microscopy （POM） and rheological measurements. The finer crystal structures were further detected by wide angle X-ray diffraction （WAXD） and small angle X-ray scattering （SAXS）. Crystallization of PEO is largely suppressed by [BMIM][PF6] addition especially at higher ionic liquid （IL） concentrations above 20 wt%. Both the overall crystallization rate and the spherulite growth decrease with the increase of IL content and crystallization temperature; however, the crystallization mechanism keeps unchanged as evidenced by the similar Avrami exponent n and WAXD results. The addition of [BMIM][PF6] could induce more nuclei to some extent, but the induction time of crystallization is evidently prolonged, and a linear to non-linear transition of the spherulite growth （R ∝ t to R ∝t^1/2） can be observed. At higher IL concentration, the spherulite texture changes apparently from particular serrated to branch surface due to the diffusion-controlled growth and the dilution effect, which also as a main factor contributes to the increasing trend of the long period of crystals.

The lightweight shielding design of small reactors is a popular research *** on a small helium-xenon-cooled solid reactor,the effects of neutron and photon shielding sequence and the number of shielding layers on the radiation dose were first *** was found that when photons were shielded first and the number of shielding layers was odd,the radiation dose could be significantly *** reduce the weight of the shielding body,the relative thickness of the shielding layers was optimized using the genetic *** optimized scheme can reduce the radiation dose by up to 57%and reduce the weight by 11.84%.To determine the total thickness of the shielding layers and avoid the local optimal solution of the genetic algorithm,a series of formulas that describes the relationship between the total thickness and the radiation dose was developed through large-scale calculations.A semi-empirical and semi-quantitative lightweight shielding design method is proposed to integrate the above shielding optimization method that verified by the Monte Carlo ***,a code,SDIC1.0,was developed to achieve the optimized lightweight shielding design for small *** was verified that the difference between the SDIC1.0 and the RMC code is approximately 10%and that the computation time is shortened by 6.3 times.
