A 3D-printed microhemispherical shell resonator with electrostatic tuning for a Coriolis vibratory gyroscope

The emergence of microhemispherical resonant gyroscopes,which integrate the advantages of exceptional stability and long lifetime with miniaturization,has afforded new possibilities for the development of whole-angle gyroscopes.However,existing methods used for manufacturing microhemispherical resonant gyroscopes based on MEMS technology face the primary drawback of intricate and costly processing.here,we report the design,fabrication,and characterization of the first 3D-printable microhemispherical shell resonator for a Coriolis vibrating gyroscope.We remarkably achieve fabrication in just two steps bypassing the dozen or so steps required in traditional micromachining.By utilizing the intricate shaping capability and ultrahigh precision offered by projection microstereolithography,we fabricate 3D high-aspect-ratio resonant structures and controllable capacitive air gaps,both of which are extremely difficult to obtain via MEMS technology.In addition,the resonance frequency of the fabricated resonators can be tuned by electrostatic forces,and the fabricated resonators exhibit a higher quality factor in air than do typical MEMS microhemispherical resonators.This work demonstrates the feasibility of rapidly batch-manufacturing microhemispherical shell resonators,paving the way for the development of microhemispherical resonator gyroscopes for portable inertial navigation.Moreover,this particular design concept could be further applied to increase uptake of resonator tools in the MEMS community.

Interaction of yttrium barrier and calcium-rich phase on production and properties of WC precursor powders and alloys

In order to reduce or eliminate the adverse effects of calcium impurity,the interaction of Ca and rare earth Y co-doping on the preparation of WC-Co cemented carbides was investigated.X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy were employed to analyze the phase compositions,particle sizes and morphologies of them,respectively.The results show that the second type of"yttrium barrier effect"is observed and the adverse influence of Ca-rich phase on tungsten powder can be eliminated by it.The flexural strength and fracture toughness of YG6-0.01%Ca+0.09%Y alloy are 2199.5 MPa and 11.49 MPa·m^(1/2),showing improvement of 6.5% and 2.7% compared to YG6 alloy,respectively.The evolutions of Ca-rich phase and Y-rich phase at the every alloy preparation stage of WO_(3),W,WC and cemented carbides are obtained.Furthermore,the strengthening mechanism of WC-Co cemented carbide with co-addition of Ca and Y is proposed.

Influence of initial check, information exchange, final accuracy check, reaction information nursing on the psychology of elderly with lung cancer

BACKGROUND As one of the fatal diseases with high incidence,lung cancer has seriously endangered public health and safety.Elderly patients usually have poor self-care and are more likely to show a series of psychological problems.AIM To investigate the effectiveness of the initial check,information exchange,final accuracy check,reaction(IIFAR)information care model on the mental health status of elderly patients with lung cancer.METHODS This study is a single-centre study.We randomly recruited 60 elderly patients with lung cancer who attended our hospital from January 2021 to January 2022.These elderly patients with lung cancer were randomly divided into two groups,with the control group taking the conventional propaganda and education and the observation group taking the IIFAR information care model based on the conventional care protocol.The differences in psychological distress,anxiety and depression,life quality,fatigue,and the locus of control in psychology were compared between these two groups,and the causes of psychological distress were analyzed.RESULTS After the intervention,Distress Thermometer,Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS)for anxiety and the HADS for depression,Revised Piper’s Fatigue Scale,and Chance health Locus of Control scores were lower in the observation group compared to the pre-intervention period in the same group and were significantly lower in the observation group compared to those of the control group(Phe intervention,Quality of Life Questionnaire Core 30(QLQ-C30),Internal health Locus of Control,and Powerful Others health Locus of Control scores were significantly higher in the observation and the control groups compared to the pre-intervention period in their same group,and QLQ-C30 scores were significantly higher in the observation group compared to those of the control group(Phe IIFAR information care model can help elderly patients with lung cancer by reducing their anxiety and depression,psychological distress,and fatigue,improving the

Mycoplasma pneumoniae(M.pneumoniae),primarily transmitted through respiratory droplets when infected individuals cough or sneeze,is a common cause of communityacquired pneumonia,especially among school-age children and adolescents.The infection occurs endemically with an epidemic peak every few years.The worldwide incidence confirmed by direct test methods was reported to be 8.61%between 2017 and 2020 across all age groups[1].

Geochemical identification of a source rock affected by migrated hydrocarbons and its geological significance:Fengcheng Formation,southern Mahu Sag,Junggar Basin,NW China

The Fengcheng Formation is a crucial source rock and the primary reservoir for oil accumulation in the Mahu Sag.Crude oils are distributed throughout the Fengcheng Formation,ranging from the edge to the interior of the sag in the southern Mahu Sag.These crude oils originate from in-situ source rocks in shallowly buried areas and the inner deep sag.During migration,the crude oil from the inner deep sag affects the source rocks close to carrier beds,leading to changes in the organic geochemical characteristics of the source rocks.These changes might alter source rock evaluations and oil-source correlation.Based on data such as total organic carbon(TOC),Rock-Eval pyrolysis of source rocks,and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)of the saturated fraction,and considering the geological characteristics of the study area,we define the identification characteristics of source rock affected by migrated hydrocarbons and establish the various patterns of influence that migrated hydrocarbons have on the source rock of the Fengcheng Formation in the southern Mahu Sag.The source rocks of the Fengcheng Formation are mostly fair to good,containing mainly Type II organic matter and being thermally mature enough to generate oil.Source rocks affected by migrated hydrocarbons exhibit relatively high hydrocarbon contents(S1/TOC>110 mg HC/g TOC,Extract/TOC>30%,HC:hydrocarbon),relatively low Rock-Eval Tmax values,and relatively high tricyclic terpane contents with a descending and mountain-shaped distribution.Furthermore,biomarker composition parameters indicate a higher thermal maturity than in-situ source rocks.Through a comparison of the extract biomarker fingerprints of adjacent reservoirs and mudstones in different boreholes,three types of influence patterns of migrated hydrocarbons are identified:the edge-influence of thin sandstone-thick mudstone,the mixed-influence of sandstone-mudstone interbedded,and the full-influence of thick sandstone-thin mudstone.This finding reminds us that the influence of migrated hydrocarbons

BACKGROUND Gastrointestinal tumor organoids serve as an effective model for simulating cancer in vitro and have been applied in basic biology and preclinical research.Despite over a decade of development and increasing research achievements in this field,a systematic and comprehensive analysis of the research hotspots and future trends is lacking.AIM To address this problem by employing bibliometric tools to explore the publication years,countries/regions,institutions,journals,authors,keywords,and references in this field.METHODS The literature was collected from Web of Science databases.CiteSpace-6.2R4,a widely used bibliometric analysis software package,was used for institutional analysis and reference burst analysis.VOSviewer 1.6.19 was used for journal cocitation analysis,author co-authorship and co-citation analysis.The‘online platform for bibliometric analysis(https://***/app)’was used to assess the total number of publications and the cooperation relationships between countries.Finally,we employed the bibliometric R software package(version R.4.3.1)in R-studio,for a comprehensive scientific analysis of the literature.RESULTS Our analysis included a total of 1466 publications,revealing a significant yearly increase in articles on the study of gastrointestinal tumor organoids.The United States(n=393)and helmholtz Association(n=93)have emerged as the leading countries and institutions,respectively,in this field,with Hans Clevers and Toshiro Sato being the most contributing authors.The most influential journal in this field is Gastroenterology.The most impactful reference is"Long term expansion of epithelial organs from human colon,adenoma,adenocarcinoma,and Barrett's epithelium".Keywords analysis and citation burst analysis indicate that precision medicine,disease modeling,drug development and screening,and regenerative medicine are the most cutting-edge directions.These focal points were further detailed based on the literature.CONCLUSION This bibliometric study offers an objective and quantitative analysis

New strategies for asymmetric photocatalysis: asymmetric organocatalytic/photoredox relay catalysis for efficient synthesis of polycyclic compounds containing vicinal amino alcohols

An asymmetric catalytic strategy in photocatalysis utilizing a chirality-induced approach through an organocatalytic/photoredox relay catalysis strategy is successfully achieved for the rapid construction of polycyclic compounds containing vicinal amino alcohols in a one-pot protocol. This methodology facilitates the efficient synthesis of diverse substituted polycyclic tetrahydroquinoline and benzofuran-derived vicinal amino alcohols, each containing five consecutive chiral centers, with high yields,excellent diastereoselectivities and enantioselectivities(up to 95% yield, >20:1 dr and 98% ee), under mild reaction conditions driven by sequential bifunctional squaramide organocatalyst-catalyzed [4+2] annulation and photocatalyst-catalyzed ketyl radical addition cyclization reaction process. Furthermore, investigations into the stereoselectivity mechanism and high-resolution mass spectrometry(HRMS) experiments on free radical trapping have provided evidence for elucidating the detailed mechanism of chirality-induced processes and chiral intermediate conversions in this procedure.

Effect of Sc on Al_(3)Fe phase and mechanical properties of as-cast AA5052 aluminum alloy

The AA5052 aluminum alloy is widely used in automobile and aerospace manufacturing,and with the development of light-weight alloys,it is required that these materials exhibit better mechanical properties.Previous studies have demonstrated that the addition of Sc to aluminum alloys can improve both the microstructure and properties of the alloys.In this study,the effect of Sc on the Fe-rich phase and properties of the AA5052 aluminum alloy was studied by adding 0%,0.05%,0.2%,and 0.3%Sc.The results show that with the increase of Sc,the coarse needle-like Fe-rich phase gradually transforms into Chinese-script and then nearly spherical particles,reduce the size of Fe-rich phase,and refine the grain with increase of high angle grain boundaries(HAGBs).These microstructure changes enhance the strength of the AA5052 alloy through Sc addition.The ductility of the alloy is obviously improved because the addition of a lower amount of Sc changes the morphology of Fe-rich phase from needle-like into a Chinese-script,and it is subsequently reduced as a result of significant increase in HAGBs with increasing Sc content.

Sulfonated poly(aryl ether ketone sulfone)modified by polyoxometalates LaW_(10) clusters for proton exchange membranes with high proton conduction performance

Polyoxometalates(POMs)are classified as solid superacids which can exhibit notable proton conductivity,making them a promising functional inorganic filler for enhancing the proton conductivity of proton exchange membranes(PEMs).In this study,a series of hybrid membranes were obtained by molecular-level hybridization of Weakley-type POM Na_(7)H_(2)LaW_(10)O_(36)(LaW_(10))clusters into sulfonated poly(aryl ether ketone sulfone)(SPAEKS).All hybrid membranes exhibited greater proton conductivity than the pristine membrane in the 30–80℃temperature range.When the doping amount of LaW 10 reached 7 wt.%,the proton conductivity of M-LaW 10^(-7)achieved 64 mS·cm^(−1)at 80℃.Lanthanide ions'high coordination number property and variable coordination environment can aid to attract more water molecules from the environment.LaW 10 and these bound water can construct denser hydrogen bonds with–SO_(3)H of SPAEKS.These intensive hydrogen bonds will facilitate the constitution of more continuous proton transport channels,and improve the proton conductivity of the hybrid membrane.This work off ers a fresh approach to using POMs containing rare-earth components in PEMs.

RsaL is a self-regulatory switch that controls alternative biosynthesis of two AHL-type quorum sensing signals in Pseudomonas aeruginosa PA1201

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a ubiquitous and metabolically versatile microorganism naturally found in soil and water.It is also an opportunistic pathogen in plants,insects,animals,and humans.In response to increasing cell density,P.aeruginosa uses two acylhomoserine lactone(AHL)quorum-sensing(QS)signals(i.e.,N-3-oxo-dodecanoyl homoserine lactone[3-oxo-C12-HSL]and Nbutanoyl-homoserine lactone[C4-HsL]),which regulate the expression of hundreds of genes.However,how the biosynthesis of these two QS signals is coordinated remains unknown.We studied the regulation of these two QS signals in the rhizosphere strain PA1201.PA1201 sequentially produced 3-oxo-C12-HSL and C4-HSL at the early and late growth stages,respectively.The highest 3-oxo-C12-HSL-dependent elastase activity was observed at the early stage,while the highest C4-HSL-dependent rhamnolipid production was observed at the late stage.The atypical regulator RsaL played a pivotal role in coordinating 3-oxo-C12-HSL and C4-HSL biosynthesis and QS-associated virulence.RsaL repressed las/transcription by binding the-10 and-35 boxes of the lasl promoter.In contrast,RsaL activated rhll transcription by binding the region encoding the 5'-untranslated region of the rhll mRNA.Further,RsaL repressed its own expression by binding a nucleotide motif located in the-35 box of the rsaL promoter.Thus,RsaL acts as a molecular switch that coordinates the sequential biosynthesis of AHL QS signals and differential virulence in PA1201.Finally,C4-HSL activation by RsaL was independent of the Las and Pseudomonas quinolone signal(PQS)QS signaling systems.Therefore,we propose a new model of the QS regulatory network in PA1201,in which RsaL represents a superior player acting at the top of the hierarchy.
