Data centers,the engines of the global Internet,rely on powerful high-speed optical *** optical fiber communication,classic direct detection captures only the intensity of the optical field,while the coherent detection counterpart utilizes both phase and polarization diversities at the expense of requiring a narrow-linewidth and high-stability local oscillator(LO).Herein,we propose and demonstrate a four-dimensional Jones-space optical field recovery(4-D JSFR)scheme without an *** polarization-diverse full-field receiver structure captures information encoded in the intensity and phase of both polarizations,which can be subsequently extracted *** our knowledge,our proposed receiver achieves the highest electrical spectral efficiency among existing direct detection systems and potentially provides similar electrical spectral efficiency as standard intradyne coherent detection *** fully recovered optical field extends the transmission distance beyond the limitations imposed by fiber chromatic ***,the LO-free advantage makes 4-D JSFR suitable for photonic integration,offering a spectrally efficient and cost-effective solution for massively parallel data center *** results may contribute to the ongoing developments in the theory of optical field recovery and the potential design considerations for future high-speed optical transceivers.

Digital twin modeling and controlling of optical power evolution enabling autonomous-driving optical networks: a Bayesian approach

Optical networks are evolving toward ultrawide bandwidth and autonomous operation. In this scenario, it is crucial to accurately model and control optical power evolutions(OPEs) through optical amplifiers(OAs), as they directly affect the signal-to-noise ratio and fiber nonlinearities. However, a fundamental contradiction arises between the complex physical phenomena in optical transmission and the required precision in network control. Traditional theoretical methods underperform due to ideal assumptions, while data-driven approaches entail exorbitant costs associated with acquiring massive amounts of data to achieve the desired level of accuracy. In this work, we propose a Bayesian inference framework(BIF) to construct the digital twin of OAs and control OPE in a data-efficient manner. Only the informative data are collected to balance the exploration and exploitation of the data space, thus enabling efficient autonomous-driving optical networks(ADONs). Simulations and experiments demonstrate that the BIF can reduce the data size for modeling erbium-doped fiber amplifiers by 80% and Raman amplifiers by 60%. Within 30 iterations, the optimal controlling performance can be achieved to realize target signal/gain profiles in links with different types of OAs. The results show that the BIF paves the way to accurately model and control OPE for future ADONs.

Principle and applications of semiconductor optical amplifiers-based turbo-switches

All-optical effectively increase the semiconductor optical recovery time or the high-speed turbo-switches can switching speed using cascaded amplifiers （SOAs）. The overall bandwidth of turbo-switch was numerically analyzed with time-domain and frequency-domain SOA models. The turbo-switch was explored from the fundamental carrier dynamics in SOAs for the purpose of further increasing its operation speed. An integrated turbo-switch was also been proposed and demonstrated, where a phase adjustable Mach-Zehnder interferometer （MZI） was applied as an optical band-pass filter between SOAs. Wavelength conversion was first demonstrated at 84.8 Gbit/s using the integrated turbo-switch.

Automatic mode-locking fiber lasers: progress and perspectives

Polarization control in nonlinear polarization rotation based mode-locked fiber lasers is a longterm challenge. Suffering from the polarization drifts induced by environmental disturbances, nonlinear polarization rotation based mode-locked fiber lasers is difficult in continuously operating under the desired pulsation regime thereby substantially hindering their utilizations. The appearance of automatic modelocking techniques brings the light in addressing this challenge. Combining with various algorithms and electrical polarization control, automatic mode-locking techniques resolve the dilemma of nonlinear polarization rotation based mode-locked fiber lasers. We review the research progress of automatic mode-locking techniques in detail. Furthermore, we comment on the perspectives and potential applications of automatic mode-locking techniques.

Wavelength dimensioning for wavelength-routed WDM satellite network

Internet and broadband applications driven by data traffic demand have become key dri- vers for satellite constellations. The key technology to satisfy the high capacity requirements between satellites is optical satellite networks by means of wavelength division multiplexing inter- satellite links （ISLs） with wavelength routing （WDM-OSN）. Due to the limited optical amplifier bandwidth onboard the satellite, it is important to minimize the wavelength requirements to provi- sion requests. However, ISLs should be dynamically established and deleted for each satellite according to its visible satellites. Furthermore, different link assignments will result in different topologies, hence yielding different routings and wavelength assignments. Thus, a perfect match model-based link assignment scheme （LAS-PMM） is proposed to design an appropriate topology such that shorter path could be routed and less wavelengths could be assigned for each ISL along the path. Finally, simulation results show that in comparison to the regular Manhattan street net- work （MSN） topology, wavelength requirements and average end-to-end delay based on the topol- ogy generated by LAS-PMM could be reduced by 24.8% and 12.4%, respectively.

Microwave photonic filter design and optimization based on stimulated Brillouin scattering using a directly modulated pump

We propose a general guideline on the design of a stimulated Brillouin scattering(SBS)-based microwave photonic filter(MPF)using a directly modulated *** gain profiles and passband ripples with waveform repetition periods of the driving current ranging from 2 to 100 ns are measured after the transmission of different fiber *** results show that the filter performance has nothing to do with the fiber length,and the digitalto-analog converter bandwidth requirement for the driving current is no more than 500 ***,the low cost,flexible reconfiguration,and miniaturization characteristics make an SBS filter using a directly modulated pump a promising choice as an MPF.

Key technologies in chaotic optical communications

In this paper, the key technologies and research progress of chaotic optical communication are reviewed. We first discuss the chaos generation methods based on different nonlinear components. Then we focus on the frontiers of chaotic optical communications, including how to improve the security, and the development about the transmission capacity and distance of chaotic optical communication in laboratory and field. At last, we discuss limitations and potentials of chaotic optical communications and draw a conclusion.

伏邪理论是基于五运六气哲学思维框架发展而来的理论,“邪伏募原”的三焦传变规律是形成于伏邪理论基础上的临证思辨的方式和手段,也是丹毒辨证论治的重要思维逻辑。基于伏邪产生及其发展的“五运六气”背景,提出了邪伏募原是伏邪所伏位置的病理基础,三焦传变是伏邪传变途径的观点。基于五运六气理论与丹毒发病的相关性,认为“邪伏三焦募原”是丹毒的病因病机,提出伏邪丹毒治疗应以重视运气、扶正透邪、开达募原为论治总纲,以期为丹毒中医临床治疗提供新思路。

目的优选复方加味脂桂酊联合自然光照治疗咪喹莫特诱导小鼠银屑病样皮损模型的配伍方案。方法将复方加味脂桂酊通过药物正交配伍生成不同配伍方案复方加味脂桂酊组,分别以S1~S9表示。通过评价干预后小鼠银屑病皮损及严重程度指数(psoriasis area and severity index,PASI)评分、皮肤组织病理切片中表皮厚度改变情况以及组织白介素(interleukin,IL)-23、IL-17变化,同时确定复方加味脂桂酊联合自然光照的最佳配伍方案。结果与银屑病模型光照(M)组相比,D14复方加味脂桂酊干预组小鼠皮损红斑色浅,鳞屑稀少,增厚现象较轻。复方加味脂桂酊干预组表皮增厚程度均显著小于M组(P<0.01),其中S8组抑制表皮增厚效果较为明显。与M组比较,复方加味脂桂酊干预各组皮肤组织中IL-17、IL-23水平均降低(P<0.01);其中S8组降低更明显(P<0.01)。结论复方加味脂桂酊以S8的配伍方案联合自然光照为最佳治疗方案,通过降低辅助性T细胞17相关细胞因子的表达,抑制咪喹莫特诱导的银屑病样炎症暴发的强度及银屑病样皮损的形成,发挥抗炎作用。

Intelligent control of mode-locked femtosecond pulses by time-stretch-assisted real-time spectral analysis

Mode-locked fiber lasers based on nonlinear polarization evolution can generate femtosecond pulses with different pulse widths and rich spectral distributions for versatile applications through polarization ***,a precise and repeatable location of a specific pulsation regime is extremely ***,by using fast spectral analysis based on a time-stretched dispersion Fourier transform as the spectral discrimination criterion,along with an intelligent polarization search algorithm,for the first time,we achieved real-time control of the spectral width and shape of mode-locked femtosecond pulses;the spectral width can be tuned from 10 to 40 nm with a resolution of ~1.47 nm,and the spectral shape can be programmed to be hyperbolic secant or ***,we reveal the complex,repeatable transition dynamics of the spectrum broadening of femtosecond pulses,including five middle phases,which provides deep insight into ultrashort pulse formation that cannot be observed with traditional mode-locked lasers.
