An efficient electrocatalyst is indispensable to significantly reduce energy consumption and accelerate the conversion efficiency of water *** this work,the honeycomb-like porous MoCo alloy on nitrogen-doped three-dimensional(3D)porous graphene substrate(Mo_(0.3)Co_(0.7)@NPG)has been synthesized from the annealing of layered double hydroxide(MoCo-LDH@NPG).Especially,the Mo_(0.3)Co_(0.7)@NPG exhibits low hydrogen evolution overpotential of 75 mV(10 mA·cm^(-2))and a Tafel slope of 69.9 mV·dec^(-1),which can be attributed to highly conductive NPG substrate,the unique nanostructure and the synergistic effect of Mo and ***,the Mo_(0.3)Co_(0.7)@NPG can maintain the original morphology and high catalytic activity after 50-h stability *** work proposes a general strategy to synthesize a multi-element alloy on conductive substrates with high porosity for electrocatalytic reaction.

Objective: The present study is designed to investigate the cellular expressions and immunolocalizations of three different nitric oxide synthase (NOS) isoforms and the related nitric oxide (NO)/cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) signaling pathway in the ovaries of neonatal and immature ***: The ovaries were obtained from ICR (Institute for Cancer Research) female Sprague-Dawley rats at postnatal days 1,5,7,10,and *** we carried out the histologic examination,immunohistochemistry,measurement of NOS activity,and modifications within the NO/cGMP ***: During postnatal days 1,5,7,10,and 19,all three isoforms of NOS were mainly localized to the oocytes and expressed as a gradual increase in granulosa cells and theca cells within the growing *** ovarian total NOS activities and NO levels were increased at postnatal days 7 and 10 compared with other ***: Our findings suggest that the locally produced NO and the NO/NOS signaling systems are involved in the follicular development to puberty.

To celebrate the 90th birthday of Professor Mooson Kwauk, who supervised the multi-scale research at this Institute in the last three decades, we dedicate this paper outlining our thoughts on this subject accumulated from our previous studies. In the process of developing, improving and extending the energy- minimization multi-scale （EMMS） method, we have gradually recognized that meso-scales are critical to the understanding of the different kinds of multi-scale structures and systems. It is a common challenge not only for chemical engineering but also for almost all disciplines of science and engineering, due to its importance in bridging micro- and macro-behaviors and in displaying complexity and diversity. It is believed that there may exist a common law behind meso-scales of different problems, possibly even in different fields. Therefore, a breakthrough in the understanding of meso-scales will help materialize a revolutionary progress, with respect to modeling, computation and application.

Norfloxacin methanol solvate （ 1 -ethyl-6-fluoro- 1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-7-（ 1 -piperazinyl）-3- quinoline carboxylic acid methanol solvate） has been prepared. The crystal and molecular structures of the title compound, C16H18FN3O3·CH3OH·H2O, were determined by X-ray diffraction method. The compound crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/c with a = 7.8660（16）, b = 22.525 （5）, c = 10.253（2）A, β= 108.31°, Mr = 369.39, V = 1724.7（6）A^3, Z = 4, Dc= 1.423 g/cm^3, F（000） = 784, R = 0.0557 and wR = 0.1224. The TGA analysis indicates that it decomposes completely at 723.75℃.

Facial synkinesis,a sequela of peripheral facial nerve palsy,is characterized by simultaneous involuntary facial movement during a voluntary desired *** cortical plasticity might be involved in the dysfunction of facial *** cohort study investigated the cortical functional alterations in patients with unilateral facial synkinesis,using the task functional magnetic resonance *** motor tasks,including blinking and smiling,were performed by 16 patients（aged 30.6 ± 4.5 years,14 females/2 males） and 24 age-and sex-matched healthy controls（aged 29.1 ± 4.2 years,19 females/5 males）.Results demonstrated that activation in the cortico-facial motor representation area was lower during tasks in patients with facial synkinesis compared with healthy *** movements on either side performed by patients caused more intensive activation of the supplementary motor area on the contralateral side of the affected face,than those on the unaffected *** results revealed that there was cortical reorganization in the primary sensorimotor area and the supplementary motor *** study was registered in Chinese Clinical Trial Registry（registration number： Chi CTR1800014630）.

Copper–ceria(Cu O–CeO2) catalysts have been known to be very effective for the oxidation of CO, and their chemical behavior has been extensively studied during the last decades. However, the effect of different CeO2 crystal surfaces on the catalytic activity of Cu O–CeO2 for the oxidation of CO is still unclear and should be further elucidated. In this study, we deposited 1 wt% Cu on mostly {100}-exposed CeO2 nanocubes(1 Cu Ce NC) and mostly {110}-exposed CeO2 nanorods(1 Cu Ce NR), respectively. Both 1 Cu Ce NC and 1 Cu Ce NR have been used as catalysts for the oxidation of CO and achieved 100% and 50% CO conversion at 130 ℃, respectively. The differences in the catalytic activity of 1 Cu Ce NC and 1 Cu Ce NR were analyzed using temperature-programmed reduction of H2 and temperature-programmed desorption of CO techniques. The results confirmed the excellent reducibility of the 1 Cu Ce NC catalyst, which was attributed to the weak interactions between Cu and the CeO2 support. Moreover, in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier-transform spectroscopy studies indicated that the {100} planes of 1 Cu Ce NC facilitated the generation of active Cu(I) sites, which resulted in the formation of highly reactive Cu(I)-CO species during the oxidation of CO. Both the excellent redox properties and effective CO adsorption capacity of the 1 Cu Ce NC catalyst increased its catalytic reactivity.

The uniformly dispersed transition metal(Co, Ni and Fe) nanoparticles supported on the surface of La-promoted Mg O were prepared via a deposition-precipitation method for hydrogen production from catalytic decomposition of ammonia. X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption-desorption, transmission electron microscopy, temperature-programmed reduction and temperature-programmed desorption were used to investigate the structure-activity relation of catalysts in NH3 decomposition. The results show that the strong interaction between active species and support can effectively prevent the active species from agglomerating during ammonia decomposition reaction. In addition, the introduction of La species not only facilitates the adsorption and decomposition of NH3 and desorption of N2, but also benefits the better dispersion of the active species. The prepared catalysts showed very high catalytic activity for ammonia decomposition compared with the same active composition samples that reported previously. Meanwhile, the catalysts showed excellent high-temperature stability and no any deactivation was observed, which are very promising candidates for the decomposition of ammonia to hydrogen.

In this paper, a model of topology optimization with linear buckling constraints is established based on an independent and continuous mapping method to minimize the plate/shell structure weight. A composite exponential function（CEF） is selected as filtering functions for element weight, the element stiffness matrix and the element geometric stiffness matrix, which recognize the design variables, and to implement the changing process of design variables from“discrete” to “continuous” and back to “discrete”. The buckling constraints are approximated as explicit formulations based on the Taylor expansion and the filtering function. The optimization model is transformed to dual programming and solved by the dual sequence quadratic programming algorithm. Finally, three numerical examples with power function and CEF as filter function are analyzed and discussed to demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method.

Gold in cyanide tailings from Shandong Province is mainly encapsulated by hematite and magnetite at distribution rates of 76.49 % and 10.88 %, ***-reduction one-step roasting of cyanide tailings was conducted under the following conditions： calcium chloride dosage of 6 %, bituminous coal dosage of 30 %, calcium oxide dosage of 10 %（all dosages are *** mass of cyanide tailings） at 1000 ℃ of roasting temperature. X-ray diffraction（XRD）, scanning electron microscopy（SEM）, and chemical-phase analysis were performed to investigate the effects of iron phase transformation on the high-temperature chlorination of *** indicate that the lattice structure of hematite undergoes expansion, pulverization, and reorganization when hematite is reduced to magnetite, which leads to42.03 % gold exposure, and the high-temperature chlorination rate of gold is 41.17 % at the same time. The structure of wustite formed by the reduction in magnetite is porous and loose, and thus 44.02 % of gold is exposed. The high-temperature chlorination rate of gold is increased by41.98 percentage points. When wustite is reduced to metallic iron, 4.42 % of gold is exposed, and the hightemperature chlorination rate of gold is increased by3.38 percentage points. Accordingly, the high-temperature chlorination of gold mainly occurs in two stages, in which Fe_2O_3 is reduced to Fe_3O_4, and Fe_3O_4 is reduced to Fe_xO finally.
