The synthesis and structure of phenol groups containing ligand 2-[(cyclopentadienyl-phenyl)-methyl]phenol(CpH-PhCH-PhOH) were described. H Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) was used to show existence of ligand precursor in isomers of the group. Me3SiCp-PhCH-PhOSiMe3 was formed via treatment of 2 mol Me3SiCl with the dilithium salt of the ligand. New Ti compound [η+5, η1-C5H4-PhCH-PhO]TiCl2 was formed by reacting with titanium chloride.

A 325-MHz superconducting half-wave resonator has been designed with β = 0.51. Three shapes of the inner conductors(race track, ring shape and elliptical shape) were optimized to decrease the peak electromagnetic fields and minimize the dissipated RF power on the cavity walls. In order to suppress the operation frequency shift caused by fluctuations of the helium pressure and maximize the tuning ranges, the frequency shifts and mechanical properties were studied on the electric and magnetic areas. The helium vessel was designed to keep the mechanical structure as robust as possible.

Objective To evaluate the results of primary surgical treatment of carcinoma of oral tongue in Hong Kong. Methods Patients who had undergone primary surgical treatment of oral tongue carcinoma in Queen Mary Hospital were reviewed. Results There were 112 patients in this study. The first sites of tumor recurrence were 10 (9%) local, 25 (22%) nodal, 3 (3%) locoregional, 5 (5%) distant, 1 (1%) local and distant, 3 (3%) nodal and distant, and 1 (1%) neck extranodal site. Of the 63 T1 2 N0 M0 patients, the regional recurrence rate was 9% for elective neck dissection compared with 47% for “watchful waiting” (Chi square test, [WTBX]P=0.0008). The regional recurrence related mortality was 3% for elective neck dissection compared with 23% for “watchful waiting” (Fisher's test, P=0.02). The 5 year actuarial survival rate was 86% for elective neck dissection compared with 55% for “watchful waiting” (Wilcoxon, P=0.01). Conclusions Local and regional recurrences were the main sites of treatment failure. Elective neck dissection has significant benefits in the reduction of regional failure and improvement of survival. Elective selective Ⅰ Ⅲ neck dissection have to be considered in patients with stage Ⅰ and stage Ⅱ oral tongue carcinoma.

Heterogeneous oxidation by gas-phase oxidants is an important chemical transformation pathway of secondary organic aerosol(SOA)and plays an important role in controlling the abundance,properties,as well as climate and health impacts of ***,our knowledge on this heterogeneous chemistry remains *** this study,the heterogeneous oxidation ofα-pinene ozonolysis SOA by hydroxyl(OH)radicals was investigated under both low and high relative humidity(RH)conditions,with an emphasis on the evolution of molecular composition of SOA and its RH *** is found that the heterogeneous oxidation of SOA at an OH exposure level equivalent to 12 hr of atmospheric aging leads to particle mass loss of 60%at 25%RH and 95%at 90%*** heterogeneous oxidation strongly changes the molecular composition of *** dimer-to-monomer signal ratios increase dramatically with rising OH exposure,in particular under high RH conditions,suggesting that aerosol water stimulates the reaction of monomers with OH radicals more than that of *** addition,the typical SOA tracer compounds such as pinic acid,pinonic acid,hydroxy pinonic acid and dimer esters(e.g.,C17H26O8 and C19H28O7)have lifetimes of several hours against heterogeneous OH oxidation under typical atmospheric conditions,which highlights the need for the consideration of their heterogeneous loss in the estimation of monoterpene SOA concentrations using tracer-based *** study sheds lights on the heterogeneous oxidation chemistry ofmonoterpene SOA andwould help to understand their evolution and impacts in the atmosphere.

Intrinsic stretchability is a promising attribute of polymer organic solar cells (OSCs). However, rigid molecular blocks typically exhibit poor tensile properties, rendering polymers vulnerable to mechanical stress. In this study, we introduce a different approach utilizing all-small-molecule donors and acceptors to fabricate stretchable OSCs. An elastomer, styrene-b-ethylene-butylene-styrene (SEBS), was embedded to modulate film crystallization and stretchability. SEBS effectively confines the growth process of donors and acceptors, leading to enhancement of the crystallization quality, thus contributing to enhanced device efficiencies. Meanwhile, SEBS can absorb and release mechanical stress during stretching, thereby preventing mechanical degradation of donors and acceptors. The mechanical properties of the OSCs were significantly improved by the incorporation of SEBS. Notably, the crack-onset strain increased from 1.03% to 5.99% with SEBS embedding. These findings present a straightforward strategy for achieving stretchable OSCs using all small molecules, offering a different perspective for realizing stretchable devices.

This paper highlights the utilization of parallel control and adaptive dynamic programming(ADP) for event-triggered robust parallel optimal consensus control(ETRPOC) of uncertain nonlinear continuous-time multiagent systems(MASs).First, the parallel control system, which consists of a virtual control variable and a specific auxiliary variable obtained from the coupled Hamiltonian, allows general systems to be transformed into affine systems. Of interest is the fact that the parallel control technique's introduction provides an unprecedented perspective on eliminating the negative effects of disturbance. Then, an eventtriggered mechanism is adopted to save communication resources while ensuring the system's stability. The coupled HamiltonJacobi(HJ) equation's solution is approximated using a critic neural network(NN), whose weights are updated in response to events. Furthermore, theoretical analysis reveals that the weight estimation error is uniformly ultimately bounded(UUB). Finally,numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed ETRPOC method.

Reducing CO_(2)to carbon-neutral solar fuels can not only alleviate the energy demand but also mitigate the greenhouse *** present,developing an efficient non-noble metal photo/electrocatalytic system for converting CO_(2)to a specific product beyond CO is still a big ***,we report a new cobalt complex bearing 2,2′-bi-1,10-phenanthroline ligand that can photocatalytically reduce CO_(2)to formate(HCOO^(-)).Turnover number(TON)for HCOO^(-)up to 677 with 99%selectivity can be achieved using organic dyes purpurin as photosensitizer and 1,3-dimethyl-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-benzo[d]imidazole(BIH)as sacrificial reductant in a CO_(2)-saturated NMP/TEA(v/v,3:1)solution under visible light *** potential electrolysis at-1.41 V(***/Ag Cl)in the presence of 12 mM Et_(3)NHBF_(4)also produced HCOO^(-)with Faradaic efficiency of 39%.Spectroscopic and electrochemical studies suggest that a[CoI-H]species is the key intermediate for CO_(2)reduction.

AIM:To explore the effect of co-host non-coding RNA(ncRNA)MIR503HG/miR-503-5p on the angiogenesis of ***:MIR503HG/miR-503-5p/fibroblast growth factor 2(FGF2)expression levels in pterygium tissues,control conjunctival tissues,and human pterygium fibroblasts(HPF)were examined by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)and immunohistochemical *** of MIR503HG/miR-503-5p on low molecular weight FGF2(LWM FGF2),migration and angiogenesis of human retinal microvascular endothelial cells(HRMEC)were determined in an HPF and HRMEC co-culture model using Western blots,wound healing assay,Matrigel-based tube formation assay,and Transwell ***:MIR503HG/miR-503-5p/FGF2 pathway was actively increased in pterygium tissue and there was a negative correlation between the expression of the two ***2 expression level was positively correlated with MIR503HG and negatively correlated with *** MIR503HG/miR-503-5p did not affect the migration and angiogenesis of HRMECs cultured separately,but significantly affected migration and angiogenesis of HRMEC in HPF and HRMEC co-culture *** blotting revealed that MIR503HG/miR-503-5p overexpression significantly increased LMW FGF2 expression in ***:MIR503HG/miR-503-5p inhibits HRMEC migration and angiogenic function by interfering with the interaction between HPF and endothelial cells via reducing LMW FGF2 in HPF.
