Efficient removal of Cr(VI) by polydopamine-modified lignin from aqueous solution: Batch and XAFS studies

Lignocellulose has the potential to become a bio-based adsorbent due to its biodegradability and *** this study,a novel polydopamine functionalized-lignin(lignin@PDA),prepared via self-polymerization of dopamine(PDA)on lignin,was used as a bio-based adsorbent for rapid scavenging of hexavalent chromium(Cr(VI)).The morphology,functional groups,crystalline structure,and chemical composition of lignin@PDA were characterized with a scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive spectrometer,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,and X-ray photoelectron *** Cr(VI)adsorption process of lignin@PDA was studied using batch experiments as a function of pH,ionic strength,adsorbent dose,and contact time at room *** adsorption rate of lignin@PDA was five times greater than that of the unmodified lignin,with a maximum adsorption capacity of 102.6 mg/g in an acidic *** adsorption of Cr(VI)on lignin@PDA fit the pseudo-secondorder equation and the Freundlich model,indicating that the adsorption process was mainly dominated by chemisorption and surface *** thermodynamic parameters showed that adsorption of Cr(VI)on lignin@PDA was an endothermic and spontaneous *** X-ray absorption fine structure results showed that sorption and reduction of Cr(VI)into Cr(II)occurred simultaneously on ***,PDA coating not only improved the reactivity of lignin but also promoted the complete reduction of Cr(VI)by *** to these results,polydopamine functionalized-lignin is a promising bio-based adsorbent for immobilization of Cr(VI)from wastewater.

Self-assembly of two pairs of homochiral M2L4 coordination capsules with varied confined space using Tr?ger's base ligands

Chiral coordination molecular cages/capsules with discrete nanoconfined chiral cavities demonstrate significant potential applications across various fields. In this study, we utilized Tr?ger's base as the building block to design and synthesize two pairs of enantiopure ligands. These ligands were then self-assembled with Pd(II) ions through chiral self-sorting coordination, resulting in the formation of two pairs of homochiral M2L4-type coordination molecular capsules. Notably, due to differences in the substitution positions on the Tr?ger's base, these two pairs of enantiomeric coordination molecular capsules exhibited distinct levels of cavity closures, cavity sizes, and host-guest recognition properties. This research offers valuable insights into the construction of novel chiral molecular capsules and the regulation of confined cavities.

Preparation of silver nanoparticles through the reduction of straw-extracted lignin and its antibacterial hydrogel

Silver nanoparticles(Ag NPs)have attracted attention in the field of biomaterials due to their excellent antibacterial ***,the reducing and stabilizing agents used for the chemical reduction of Ag NPs are usually toxic and may cause water *** this work,Ag NPs(31.2 nm in diameter)were prepared using the extract of straw,an agricultural waste,as the reducing and stabilizing *** analysis revealed that the straw extract contained lignin,the structure of which possesses phenolic hydroxyl and methoxy groups that facilitate the reduction of silver salts into Ag *** surfaces of Ag NPs were negatively charged due to the encapsulation of a thin layer of lignin molecules that prevented their *** the prepared Ag NPs were added to the precursor solution of acrylamide,free radical polymerization was triggered without the need for extra heating or light irradiation,resulting in the rapid formation of an Ag NP-polyacrylamide composite *** inhibition zone test proved that the composite hydrogel possessed excellent antibacterial ability due to the presence of Ag *** prepared hydrogel may have potential applications in the fabrication of biomedical materials,such as antibacterial dressings.

Low-dose X-ray induced long afterglow NIR luminescence from Cr3+ doped Zn1-xCdxGa2O4 spinel solid solutions

The low-dose X-ray induced long afterglow near infrared（NIR） luminescence from Cr3+doped Zn1-xCdxGa2O4spinel solid solutions was *** structure analysis shows the good formation of Zn1-xCdxGa2O4spinel solid solutions,which possesses a cubic spinel structure with Fd3m space *** formation of Zn1-xCdxGa2O4spinel solid solutions induces the obvious increase of long afterglow near infrared luminescence excited by low-dose X-ray,When the content of doped Cd2+reaches 0.1,the low-dose X-ray induced long afterglow NIR luminescence is the *** importantly,only 5 s Xray irradiation can induce more than 6 h NIR afterglow emission,of which the afterglow luminescent intensity is still 5 times stronger than the background intensity after 6 *** thermoluminescent results show that under the 5 s exposure of X-ray,the trap density of Zn0.9Cd0.1Ga2O4:Cr3+is much higher than that of ZnGa2O4:Cr3+.The replacement of Cd2+ions with large radius at Zn2+sites causes the increase of de fects and dislocations,which results in the obvious increase of trap co *** the addition of high-z number elements Cd2+would enhance the X-ray absorption of the solid solutions,which thus can be easily excited by low-dose ***0.9Cd0.1Ga2O4:1%Cr3+solid solution is a potential candidate of lowdose X-ray induced long afterglow luminescent materials.

Arsenic-vanadium polyoxometalates（POMs） represent a family of tremendous potential catalysts owing to their peculiar physical and chemical *** in CO2conversion,using POMs to catalyze the conversion of CO2and epoxide into chemical intermediates is the research ***,A new family number of arsenic-vanadium POMs,[N（CH3）4]4[As8V12O38（H2O）]·2H2O({As8V12O38}),was reported and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,*** from other allotropicity,{As8V12O38}shows a different structure pattern with an I-43d *** obtained {As8V12O38} was employed as a catalyst for the *** initial catalytic reaction confirmed that {As8V12O38} can catalyze the formation of epoxy carbonate by using 1.01 kPa CO2and epoxide at 70℃.furtherly,when added amine in the catalytic system,oxazolidinone could be obtained by high yields,which provides an efficient way to convert CO2into profitable ***,a possible catalytic reaction mechanism was proposed by using different characterization analyses.{As8V12O38} first catalyzes the epoxide and CO2to form an epoxy carbonate and then catalyzes epoxy carbonate and benzylamine into oxazolidinone.

The crosstalk between cellular survival pressures and N6-methyladenosine modification in hepatocellular carcinoma

Background:Within the tumor microenvironment, survival pressures are prevalent with potent drivers of tumor progression, angiogenesis, and therapeutic resistance. N6-methyladenosine (m6 A) methylation has been recognized as a critical post-transcriptional mechanism regulating various aspects of mRNA metabolism. To investigate the seasonal characteristics in air pollution in Chengdu,a single particle aerosol mass spectrometry was used to continuously observe atmospheric fine particulate matter during one-month periods in summer and winter,*** results showed that,apart from O_(3),the concentrations of other pollutants(CO,NO_(2),SO_(2),PM_(2.5)and PM_(10))were significantly higher in winter than in *** single particle aerosols were divided into seven categories:biomass burning(BB),coal combustion(CC),Dust,vehicle emission(VE),K mixedwith nitrate(K-NO_(3)),Kmixed with sulfate and nitrate(K-SN),and K mixedwith sulfate(K-SO_(4))*** highest contributions in both seasons were VE particles(24%).The higher contributions of K-SO_(4)(16%)and K-NO_(3)(10%)particles occurred in summer and winter,respectively,as a result of their different formation mechanisms.S-containing(KSO_(4)and K-SN),VE,and BB particles caused the evolution of pollution in both seasons,and they can be considered as targets for future pollution *** mixing of primary sources particles(VE,Dust,CC,and BB)with secondary components was stronger in winter than in *** summer,as pollution worsens,the mixing of primary sources particles with 62[NO_(3)]−weakened,but themixing with 97[HSO_(4)]−***,in winter,the mixing state of particles did not exhibit an obvious evolution *** potential source areas in summer were mainly distributed in the southern region of Sichuan,while in winter,besides the southern region,the contribution of the western region cannot be ignored.

目的探讨选择性脊神经后根切断术（ＳＰＲ）治疗痉挛性脑瘫的适应证、禁忌证及手术方法，提高治疗效果，降低其并发症发生率。方法广泛查阅近期有关ＳＰＲ治疗痉挛性脑瘫的文献，综述其解除痉挛的机理，手术适应证、禁忌证，手术方法，术后肌张力的变化及并发症。结果ＳＰＲ选择性地切断肌梭传入神经的Ⅰα纤维，阻断骨髓γ反射环路，降低肌张力，解除肌痉挛。手术效果及并发症的发生率与适应证的选择有密切关系。脊神经切除比例小于５０％者效果良好。结论ＳＰＲ是解除痉挛性脑瘫患儿肢体痉挛的较好方法。
