Ⅱ-Ⅴsemiconductor nanowires are indispensable building blocks for nanoscale electronic and optoelectronic ***,solely relying on their intrinsic physical and material properties sometimes limits device functionalities to meet the increasing demands in versatile and complex electronic *** leveraging the distinctive nature of the one-dimensional geometry and large surface-to-volume ratio of the nanowires,new properties can be attained through monolithic integration of conventional nanowires with other easy-synthesized functional ***,we combine high-crystal-quality lInitridle nanowires with amorphous molybdenum sulfides(a-MoS)to construct ***/a-MoS_(x) core-shell *** light ilumination,such nanostructures exhibit striking spectrally distinctive photodetection characteristic in photoelectrochemical environment,demonstrating a negative photoresponsivity of-100.42 mA W^(-1)under 254 nm ilumination,and a positive photoresponsivity of 29.5 mA W^(-1)under 365 nm *** functional theory calculations reveal that the successful surface modifcation of the nanowires via a-MoS_(x)decoration accelerates the reaction process at the electrolyte/nanowire interface,leading to the generation of opposite photocurrent signals under different photon *** importantly,such polarity-switchable photoconductivity can be further tuned for multiple wavelength bands photodetection by simply adjusting the surrounding environment and/or tailoring the nanowire composition,showing great promise to build light-wavelength controllable sensing devices in the future.

In modern electronics and optoelectronics, hot electron behaviors are highly concerned, as they determine the performance limit of a device or system, like the associated thermal or power constraint of chips and the Shockley-Queisser limit for solar cell efficiency. To date, however, the manipulation of hot electrons has been mostly based on conceptual interpretations rather than a direct observation. The problem arises from a fundamental fact that energy-differential electrons are mixed up in real-space, making it hard to distinguish them from each other by standard measurements. Here we demonstrate a distinct approach to artificially(spatially) separate hot electrons from cold ones in semiconductor nanowire transistors, which thus offers a unique opportunity to observe and modulate electron occupied state, energy, mobility and even path. Such a process is accomplished through the scanning-photocurrent-microscopy measurements by activating the intervalley-scattering events and 1D charge-neutrality rule. Findings here may provide a new degree of freedom in manipulating non-equilibrium electrons for both electronic and optoelectronic applications.

AIM: To study the effects of tetrandrine (Tet) on calciumrelease-activated calcium current (ICRAC), delayed rectifierpotassium current (IK), and inward rectifier potassiumcurrents (IK1) in isolated rat ***: Hepatocytes of rat were isolated by usingperfusion method. Whole cell patch-clamp techniques wereused in our ***: The peak *** ICRAC was -508±115 pA(n＝15), its reversal potential of ICRAC was about 0 mV. At thepotential of -100 mV, Tet inhibited the peak amplitude ofICRAC from -521±95 pA to -338±85 pA (P＜0.01 vs control,n＝5), with the inhibitory rate of 35 % at 10 μmol/L andfrom -504±87 pA to -247±82 pA (P＜0.01 vscontrol, n＝5),with the inhibitory rate of 49 % at 100 μmol/L, withoutaffecting its reversal potential. The amplitude of ICRAC wasdependent on extracellular Ca2+ concentration. The peakamplitude of ICRAC was -205±105 pA (n＝3) in tyrode's solutionwith Ca2+ 1.8 mmol/L (P＜0.01 vs the peak amplitude ofICRAC in external solution with Ca2+ 10 mmol/L). Tet at theconcentration of 10 and 100 μmol/L did not markedly changethe peak amplitude of delayed rectifier potassium currentand inward rectifier potassium current (P＞0.05 vs control).CONCLUSION: Tet protects hepatocytes by inhibiting ICRAC,which is not related to I K and IK1.
