Understanding the impact of biological activities on the soil phosphorus(P)distribution under long-term fertilizer application can facilitate better soil P fertility ***,the primary objectives of this study were to investigate the effect of long-term(since 1981)fertilizer application on the soil P fractions and microbial community and to evaluate correlations between the microbial community structure and P *** following treatments were implemented in a long-term field trial:no fertilization(CK),inorganic N and K(NK),inorganic P and K(PK),inorganic N,P and K(NPK)and manure+NPK(MNPK)*** study showed that the soil pH,soil organic carbon and total and available N and P concentrations were considerably higher in the MNPK treatment than in the CK *** soil microbial biomass C,N and P concentrations were also significantly higher in the MNPK treatment than in the CK *** fertilization treatments,theβ-1,4-glucosidase,α-1,4-glucosidase,urease,acid phosphatase and phosphodiesterase activities were the highest in the MNPK *** to inorganic fertilization,the MNPK treatment increased the labile soil P fractions and decreased the residual soil P *** fertilization significantly affected the soil microbial *** total phospholipid fatty acid(PLFA)concentrations in the NK,PK,NPK and MNPK treatments were 23.3,43.1,48.7 and 87.7%higher,respectively,than in the CK treatment.A significant correlation was observed between the microbial community and soil P ***,the aggregated boosted tree(ABT)model showed that among the various soil biochemical properties,the total PLFA concentration was the factor that most influenced the active P pool,accounting for 35.4%of the relative influence of all soil biochemical properties *** findings reveal that combined manure and inorganic fertilizer application is a better approach than applying inorganic fertilizer alone fo

The exponential increase in data over the past fewyears,particularly in images,has led to more complex content since visual representation became the new norm.E-commerce and similar platforms maintain large image catalogues of their *** image databases,searching and retrieving similar images is still a challenge,even though several image retrieval techniques have been proposed over the *** of these techniques work well when querying general image ***,they often fail in domain-specific image databases,especially for datasets with low intraclass *** paper proposes a domain-specific image similarity search engine based on a fused deep learning *** network is comprised of an improved object localization module,a classification module to narrow down search options and finally a feature extraction and similarity calculation *** network features both an offline stage for indexing the dataset and an online stage for *** dataset used to evaluate the performance of the proposed network is a custom domain-specific dataset related to cosmetics packaging gathered from various online *** proposed method addresses the intraclass variance problem with more precise object localization and the introduction of top result reranking based on object ***,quantitative and qualitative experiment results are presented,showing improved image similarity search performance.

The effect of nonlinear mixed convection in stretched flows of rate-type nonNewtonian materials is described. The formulation is based upon the Maxwell liquid which elaborates thermal relation time characteristics. Nanofluid properties are studied considering thermophoresis and Brownian movement. Thermal radiation, double stratification, convective conditions, and heat generation are incorporated in energy and nanoparticle concentration expressions. A boundary-layer concept is implemented for the simplification of mathematical expressions. The modeled nonlinear problems are computed with an optimal homotopy scheme. Moreover, the Nusselt and Sherwood numbers as well as the velocity, nanoparticle concentration, and temperature are emphasized. The results show opposite impacts of the Deborah number and the porosity factor on the velocity distribution.

Detailed investigation of optimized alkali catalyzed transesterification of Jatropha oil for biodiesel production

The non-edible oils are believed to be one of the major feedstock for the production of biodiesel in *** the present study,we investigated the production of Jatropha oil methyl esters（JOMEs） via alkali-catalyzed transesterification *** biophysical characteristics of Jatropha oil were found within the optimal range in accordance with ASTM standards as a substitute diesel *** chemical composition and production yield of as-synthesized biodiesel were confirmed by various analytical techniques such as FT-IR,1H NMR,13 C NMR and gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry.A high percentage conversion,～96.09%,of fatty acids into esters was achieved under optimized transesterification conditions with 6 ：1 oil to methanol ratio and 0.9 wt% Na OH for 50 min at ～60°***,twelve fatty acids methyl esters（FAME） were quantified in the GC/MS analysis and it was interesting to note that the mass fragmentation pattern of saturated,monounsaturated and diunsaturated FAME was comparable with the literature reported values.

BACKGROUND Management of chronic total occlusions(CTO)in diabetics is challenging,with a recent trend towards early revascularization[ER:Percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)and bypass grafting]instead of optimal medical therapy(OMT).We hypothesize that ER improves morbidity and mortality outcomes in diabetic patients with CTOs as compared to *** To determine the long term clinical outcomes and to compare morbidity and mortality between OMT and ER in diabetic patients with *** Potentially relevant published clinical trials were identified in Medline,Embase,chemical abstracts and Biosis(from start of the databases till date)and pooled hazard ratios(HR)computed using a random effects model,with significant P value<*** outcome of interest was all-cause *** outcomes included cardiac death,prompt revascularization(ER)or repeat myocardial infarction(MI).Due to scarcity of data,both Randomized control trials and observational studies were included.4 eligible articles,containing 2248 patients were identified(1252 in OMT and 1196 in ER).Mean follow-up was 45-60 *** OMT was associated with a higher all-cause mortality[HR:1.70,95%confidence interval(CI):0.80-3.26,P=0.11]and cardiac mortality(HR:1.68,95%CI:0.96-2.96,P=0.07).Results were close to *** risk of repeat MI was almost the same in both groups(HR:0.97,95%CI:0.61-1.54,P=0.90).Similarly,patients assigned to OMT had a higher risk of repeat revascularization(HR:1.62,95%CI:1.36-1.94,P<0.00001).Sub-group analysis of OMT vs PCI demonstrated higher all-cause(HR:1.98,95%CI:1.36-2.87,P=0.0003)and cardiac mortality(HR:1.87,95%CI:0.96-3.62,P=0.06)in the OMT *** risk of repeat MI was low in the OMT group vs PCI(HR:0.53,95%CI:0.31-0.91,P=0.02).Data on repeat revascularization revealed no difference between the two(HR:1.00,95%CI:0.52-1.93,P=1.00).CONCLUSION In diabetic patients with CTO,there was a trend for improved outcomes with ER regarding all-cause and cardiac death as

Spatial Rainfall Variability and an Increasing Threat of Drought, According to Climate Change in Uttaradit Province, Thailand

This study presents the work commenced in northern Thailand on spatial and temporal variability of rainfall. Thirty years (1988-2017) rainfall data of eight meteorological stations were used for assessing temporal variability and trend analysis. The results showed decreasing trend in rainfall from its first half of the observed study period (1988-2002) to last half of the time period (2003-2017) in total average annual as well as monsoonal average rainfall by 14.92% and 15.50% respectively. It was predicted from linear regression results that by 2030 the average annual and monsoonal rainfall will drop by 35% and 34.10% respectively. All stations showed negative trend except Fakara met-station in annual rainfall. In the seasonal trend analysis, the results showed decreasing trend almost in all met-stations. Mann-Kendall trend test was applied to assess the trend. All met-stations show significant negative trend. To assess drought in the study area, Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) was applied to 12-month temporal time period. The results predicted meteorological drought in the near future. The spatial distribution of rainfall presented changing phenomena in average annual, monsoonal, winter, and summer seasons in both analyzed periods.

A low complexity online controller using fuzzy logic in energy harvesting WSNs

In this paper, we present a fuzzy logic based scheme for a two hop energy harvesting(EH)wireless sensor network(WSN). Incorporating data and energy causality constraints, discrete transmission rates, finite energy and data buffers, a fuzzy model is developed which uses network throughput, battery level and channel gain as inputs. The fuzzy scheme is then compared with optimum, modified optimum, and Markov decision process(MDP) schemes in terms of computational complexity, throughput, battery level and data buffer capacity. The throughput results show that the fuzzy online scheme preforms closely to the compared schemes and avoids battery depletion even when the number of discrete transmission rates are increased.
