FlowGANAnomaly: Flow-Based Anomaly Network Intrusion Detection with Adversarial Learning

In recent years, low recall rates and high dependencies on data labelling have become the biggest obstacle to developing deep anomaly detection(DAD) techniques. Inspired by the success of generative adversarial networks(GANs) in detecting anomalies in computer vision and imaging, we propose an anomaly detection model called Flow GANAnomaly for detecting anomalous traffic in network intrusion detection systems(NIDS). Unlike traditional GAN-based approaches, which are composed of a flow encoder, a convolutional encoder-decoder-encoder, a flow decoder and a convolutional encoder, the architecture of this model consists of a generator(G) and a discriminator(D).Flow GANAnomaly maps the different types of traffic feature data from separate datasets to a uniform feature space,thus can capture the normality of network traffic data more accurately in an adversarial manner to mitigate the problem of the high dependence on data labeling. Moreover, instead of simply detecting the anomalies by the output of D, we proposed a new anomaly scoring method that integrates the deviation between the output of two Gs' convolutional encoders with the output of D as weighted scores to improve the low recall rate of anomaly detection. We conducted several experiments comparing existing machine learning algorithms and existing deep learning methods(Auto Encoder and VAE) on four public datasets(NSL-KDD, CIC-IDS2017, CIC-DDo S2019, and UNSW-NB15). The evaluation results show that Flow GANAnomaly can significantly improve the performance of anomaly-based NIDS.

Gradient Convergence of Deep Learning-Based Numerical Methods for BSDEs

The authors prove the gradient convergence of the deep learning-based numerical method for high dimensional parabolic partial differential equations and backward stochastic differential equations, which is based on time discretization of stochastic differential equations(SDEs for short) and the stochastic approximation method for nonconvex stochastic programming problem. They take the stochastic gradient decent method,quadratic loss function, and sigmoid activation function in the setting of the neural network. Combining classical techniques of randomized stochastic gradients, Euler scheme for SDEs, and convergence of neural networks, they obtain the O(K^(-1/4)) rate of gradient convergence with K being the total number of iterative steps.

Study on Working Pairs of Sorption Type Air Conditioner for Electric Vehicles under Different Temperature Zones

The air conditioning(AC) system of electric vehicles(EVs) consumes a large part of electricity of on-board batteries and influences the continue voyage course seriously. The feasibility of sorption type AC for EVs has been verified theoretically to decrease this part of energy consumption. However, the choice of optimal working pairs based on local working conditions is not considered before, which can realize not only high efficiency but also the steady and reliable operation. Thus in this paper, different solid sorption working pairs used in sorption type AC under different temperature zones are studied. We utilized Rubotherm balance test unit to study the sorption properties of various working pairs(halide-ammonia) and selected candidate working pairs by Clapeyron equation and energy analysis. Results show that MnCl2 is the only choice for cold temperate zone(CTZ) and CaCl2 is optimal for warm temperate zone(WTZ), while the mixed double halide(MnCl2 and CaCl2) is recommended in other zones. In middle temperate zone(MTZ), the probability for performance dropping down is relatively large, thus the ratio(CaCl2:Mn Cl2) is recommended as 0.33–1 to take advantage of the stability property of MnCl2. While in Qinghai-Tibet plateau cold area(QTPCA, the special temperature zone in China), the ratio is chosen as 2–3 because only under the limiting condition reaction [Ca(NH3)8]Cl2 (←→) [Ca(NH3)4]Cl2 +4NH3 is invalid. Because the continued high environmental temperature will increase the probability of limiting condition, ratio of subtropical zone(STZ) is still selected as 2–3 while that of tropical Zone(TZ) is 1–2. Taking WTZ under summer condition as example, by using sorption type AC with CaCl2 as sorbent, the increment voyage course(IVC) over the practical voyage course with conventional compression AC system(PVC) ranges from 9.4% to 37.7% for different type of EVs, i.e. the continue voyage course is increased effectively. Experimental investigation on a small-scale ORC system with a pump driven by internal multi-potential

In this study,a novel organic Rankine cycle(ORC)based on a pump driven by internal multi-potential,i.e.,gravity-assisted thermally driven pump(GTP),is *** newly proposed cycle consists of a GTP,a condenser,an expander,and an *** GTP component is composed of three top-down organized units,and it drives the transport of liquid from the low-pressure condenser to the high-pressure evaporator by thermal energy and *** a component substitutes the conventional electricity-driven ***,the modified scroll expander of the ORC-GTP system is experimentally studied,and the results show that the best conversion efficiency from shaft work to electricity and the best isentropic efficiency are 82.0%and 84.2%,*** experimental setup of the ORC-GTP power system is built for low-grade thermal energy *** is tested under the average evaporator outlet temperature of 96.4℃,106.1℃,and 108.8℃at the ambient temperature of around 25℃.The highest shaft work is achieved at 96.4℃evaporator outlet temperature,and the largest ratio of time lasting for power generation is 100%.Since the ORC-GTP system has much less sensible heat loss of the evaporator,the highest average thermal efficiency of the ORC-GTP reaches 3.57%,which is increased by 71.74%compared with the pumpless ORC system in the literature.

Source of the Ore-forming Adakitic Porphyry at the Beiya Super-large Au Deposit, Western Yangtze Craton: New Evidence from Zircon U-Pb Ages of the Amphibolite Xenoliths

Objective The Beiya super-large Au-rich porphyry deposit(304 t Au,2.4 g/t Au)is located within the western Yangtze craton,to the southeast of the Sanjiang Tethyan Orogen(Fig.1).The ore-forming porphyry is adakitic,characterized by high Sr/Y and La/Yb ratios coupled with low Y and Yb contents,and is generally thought to be derived from partial melting of thickened mafic lower *** lower crust underneath the western Yangtze craton is mainly composed of ancient crust with Archean ages,juvenile crust resulting from the Neoproterozoic subduction(740–1000 Ma),and late Permian juvenile crust related to the Emeishan mantle *** lower crustal end-member has played a critical role in genesis of the Beiya ore-forming porphyry can be constrained by zircon U-Pb ages of amphibolite xenoliths hosted in the ore-forming porphyry,because these xenoliths represent direct samples of the *** this study,we present new zircon U-Pb ages of these amphibolite xenoliths to have insight into the nature of the Beiya adakitic porphyry source.

The Habo deposit is a typical porphyry Cu-Mo deposit in the Ailaoshan–Red River metallogenic *** minerals in the Habo deposit typically occur as veins in the monzonite *** U-Pb dating suggests that the monzonite porphyry formed at 35.07±0.38 *** monzonite porphyry is characterized by high SiO_(2),Al_(2)O_(3),K_(2)O and Na_(2)O contents,with A/CNK ratios ranging from 0.97 to *** samples exhibit fractionated REE patterns,characterized by high(La/Yb)N ratios(9.4–13.6,average of 11.2).They show adakite-like geochemical features,high Sr concentrations(627–751 ppm,average of 700 ppm),low Y concentrations(15.13–16.86 ppm,average of 15.81 ppm)and high Sr/Y values(39.5–47.4,average of 44.3).These samples have high initial^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr ratios(0.7074–0.7076)and negativeεNd(t)values(-5.1 to-3.7),whereas the zirconεHf(t)values range from-2.2 to+0.4,suggesting that the monzonite porphyry was derived from the partial melting of a thickened juvenile lower *** oxygen fugacity,calculated on the basis of the chemical composition of the amphiboles,shows?NNO values ranging from+1.65 to+2.16(average of 1.94)and lg(fO_(2))ranging from-12.72 to-11.99(average of-12.25),indicating that the monzonite porphyry has high oxygen *** have high Ce^(4+)/Ce^(3+)ratios(29.29–164.24,average of 84.92),with high?FMQ values ranging from+0.50 to+1.51(average of 0.87)and high lg(fO_(2))values ranging from-14.72 to-12.85(average of-14.07),which also indicates that the oxygen fugacity of the magma was *** dissolved water content of the Habo monzonite porphyry is 9.5–11.5 wt%,according to the geochemical characteristics,zircon-saturation thermometry(692–794°C)and the mineral phases(amphibole,no plagioclase)in the deep magma *** with previous studies,we propose that the high oxygen fugacity and high water content of magma played key roles in controlling the formation of the Habo and other Cu-Mo-Au deposits in the Ailaoshan–Red River metallogenic be
