Optimal structural design for a certain near-space composite propeller of airship using adaptive region division blending model

Near-space airship is a frontier and hotspot in current military research and development,and the near-space composite propeller is the key technology for its development.In order to obtain higher aerodynamic efficiency at an altitude of 22 km,a certain near-space composite propeller is designed as a long and slender aerodynamic shape with a 10 m diameter,which brings many challenges to the composite structure design.The initial design is obtained by the composite structure variable stiffness design method using based on fixed region division blending model.However,it weighs 23.142 kg,exceeding the required 20 kg.In order to meet the structural design requirements of the propeller,a variable stiffness design method using the adaptive region division blending model is proposed in this paper.Compared with the methods using the fixed region division blending model,this method optimizes region division,stacking thickness and stacking sequence in a single level,considering the coupling effect among them.Through a more refined region division,this method can provide a more optimal design for composite tapered structures.Additionally,to improve the efficiency of optimization subjected to manufacturing constraints,a hierarchical penalty function is proposed to quickly filter out the solutions that do not meet manufacturing constraints.The above methods combined with a Genetic Algorithm(GA)using specific encoding are adopted to optimize the near-space composite propeller.The optimal design of the structure weighs 18.831 kg,with all manufacturing constraints and all structural response constraints being satisfied.Compared with the initial design,the optimal design has a more refined region division,and achieves a weight reduction of 18.6%.This demonstrates that a refined region division can significantly improve the mechanical performance of the composite tapered structure.

Boosting oxygen vacancies by modulating the morphology of Au decorated In_(2)O_(3)with enhanced CO_(2)hydrogenation activity to CH_(3)OH

CO_(2)hydrogenation to methanol has become one of the most promising ways for CO_(2)utilization,however,the CO_(2)conversion rate and methanol selectivity of this reaction still need to be improved for industrial application.Here we investigated the structure-activity relationship for CO_(2)conversion to methanol of In_(2)O_(3)-based catalysts by modulating morphology and decorating Au.Three different Au/In_(2)O_(3)catalysts were prepared,their activity follow the sequence of Au/In_(2)O_(3)-nanosphere(Au/In_(2)O_(3)-NS)>Au/In_(2)O_(3)-nanoplate(Au/In_(2)O_(3)-NP)>Au/In_(2)O_(3)-hollow microsphere(Au/In_(2)O_(3)-HM).Au/In_(2)O_(3)-NS exhibited the best performance with good CO_(2)conversion of 12.7%,high methanol selectivity of 59.8%,and large space time yield of 0.32 g CH_(3)OH/(hr·gcat)at 300℃.The high performance of Au/In_(2)O_(3)-NS was considered as the presence of Au.It contributes to the creation of more surface oxygen vacancies,which further promoted the CO_(2)adsorption and facilitated CO_(2)activation to form the formate intermediates towards methanol.This work clearly suggests that the activity of In_(2)O_(3)catalyst can be effective enhanced by structure engineering and Au decorating.

Ultrafast investigation of room temperature valley polarization in“optical bilayer”WS_(2)

Monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs)have become a promising platform in valleytronics due to possessing the regulatable valley degrees of freedom.While,as a result of the rapid intervalley scattering,it is difficult to measure the PL valley polarization of monolayer TMDCs at room temperature,which limits their application in valleytronics devices.Here,we report a room temperature photoluminescence(PL)valley polarization up to 3.73%in an“optical bilayer”WS_(2)formed by transferring monolayer WS_(2)onto flat Ag film.Furthermore,in the transient absorption(TA)measurements,a remarkably long valley depolarization lifetime is found.Thus,we demonstrate the valley properties of such“optical bilayer”WS_(2)resemble actual bilayer WS_(2),in which the robust valley polarization can be attributed to the phonons depletion effect and the blocked interlayer hopping processes.These peculiar valley features in“optical bilayer”WS_(2)provide a particularly simple method to enhance valley control at room temperature.

Pre-combustion mercury removal with co-production of hydrogen via coal electrolysis

Pre-combustion mercury removal via coal electrolysis was performed and investigated on a bench-scale coal electrolytic cell(CEC)systemically,and factorial design was used to determine the effect of different operating conditions(coal particle size,operating temperature,operating cell voltage,and flow rate of slurry)on the percentage of mercury removal,percentage of ash removal,and dry heating value change.The results showed that the operating cell voltage,as well as the interaction between operating cell voltage and coal particle size,are significant factors in the percentage of mercury removal.There is no significant factor in the percentage of ash removal and the dry heating value change,but the coal could be purified while keeping the dry heating value almost constant after electrolysis.A co-product of hydrogen could be produced during coal electrolysis with 50%lower energy consumption compared with water electrolysis.Meanwhile,a mechanism for mercury removal in coal was proposed.The facts indicate that coal electrolysis is a promising method for precombustion mercury removal.

Investigation of formaldehyde sources and its relative emission intensity in shipping channel environment

Formaldehyde(HCHO)is considered one of the most abundant gas-phase carbonyl compounds in the atmosphere,which can be directly emitted through transportation sources.Long-Path Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy(LP-DOAS)was used to observe HCHO in the river channel of Wusong Wharf in Shanghai,China for the whole year of 2019.Due to the impact of ship activity,the annual average HCHO level in the channel is about2.5 times higher than that in the nearby campus environment.To explain the sources of HCHO under different meteorological conditions,the tracer-pair of CO and O_(x)(NO_(2)+O_(3))was used on the clustered air masses.The results of the source appointment show that primary,secondary and background account for 24.14%(3.34±1.19 ppbv),44.78%(6.20±2.04ppbv)and 31.09%(4.31±2.33 ppbv)of the HCHO in the channel when the air masses were from the mixed direction of the city and channel,respectively.By performing background station subtraction at times of high primary HCHO values and resolving the plume peaks,directly emitted HCHO/NO_(2)in the channel environment and plume were determined to be mainly distributed between 0.2 and 0.3.General cargo ships with higher sailing speeds or main engine powers tend to have higher HCHO/NO_(2)levels.With the knowledge of NO_(2)(or NO_(x))emission levels from ships,this study may provide data support for the establishment of HCHO emission factors.

Solid-state zinc-ion capacitors are emerging as promising candidates for large-scale energy storage owing to improved safety,mechanical and thermal stability and easy-to-direct stacking.Hydrogel electrolytes are appealing solid-state electrolytes because of eco-friendliness,high conductivity and intrinsic flexibility.However,the electrolyte/electrode interfacial contact and anti-freezing properties of current hydrogel electrolytes are still challenging for practical applications of zinc-ion capacitors.Here,we report a class of hydrogel electrolytes that couple high interfacial adhesion and anti-freezing performance.The synergy of tough hydrogel matrix and chemical anchorage enables a well-adhered interface between hydrogel electrolyte and electrode.Meanwhile,the cooperative solvation of ZnCl2 and LiCl hybrid salts renders the hydrogel electrolyte high ionic conductivity and mechanical elasticity simultaneously at low temperatures.More significantly,the Zn||carbon nanotubes hybrid capacitor based on this hydrogel electrolyte exhibits low-temperature capacitive performance,delivering high-energy density of 39 Wh kg^(-1)at-60°C with capacity retention of 98.7%over 10,000 cycles.With the benefits of the well-adhered electrolyte/electrode interface and the anti-freezing hydrogel electrolyte,the Zn/Li hybrid capacitor is able to accommodate dynamic deformations and function well under 1000 tension cycles even at-60°C.This work provides a powerful strategy for enabling stable operation of low-temperature zinc-ion capacitors.

In the organizational setting of marine engineering,a significant number of information security incidents have been arised from the employees’failure to comply with the information security policies(ISPs).This may be treated as a principal-agent problem with moral hazard between the employer and the employee for the practical compliance effort of an employee is not observable without high cost-.On the other hand,according to the deterrence theory,the employer and the employee are inherently self-interested beings.It is worth examining to what extent the employee is self-interested in the marine ISPs compliance context.Moreover,it is important to clarify the proper degree of severity of punishment in terms of the deterrent effect.In this study,a marine ISPs compliance game model has been proposed to evaluate the deterrence effect of punishment on the non-compliance behavior of employee individuals.It is found that in a non-punishment contract,the employee will decline to comply with the marine ISPs;but in a punishment contract,appropriate punishment will lead her to select the marine ISPs compliance effort level expected by the employer,and cause no potential backfire effect.

Osteonecrosis of the femoral head(ONFH)is mainly caused by a decrease in the vascular supply to the subchondral bone of the femoral head,leading to the death of bone cells,degeneration and necrosis of the subchondral bone,and eventually collapse of the femoral head.^([1])Early and accurate diagnosis is the key to successful hip-preserving therapy,and the size/location of necrosis is the main determinant for ONFH treatment.Previous studies have shown that many hip-preserving therapies achieved satisfactory results in ONFH patients with Association Research Circulation Osseous(ARCO)I–II.When ONFH progresses to ARCO IV with clinical manifestations of osteoarthrosis,total hip arthroplasty(THA)may be the only option.

Defensin-like proteins are conserved in multicellular organisms and contribute to innate immune re-sponses against fungal pathogens.In rice,defensins play a novel role in regulating cadmium(Cd)efflux from the cytosol.However,whether the antifungal activity of defensins correlates with Cd-efflux function remains unknown.In this study,we isolated an endophytic Fusarium,designed Fo1o,by a comparative mi-crobiome analysis of rice plants grown in a paddy contaminated with Cd.Fo10 is tolerant to high levels of Cd,but is sensitive to the defensin-like protein OsCAL1,which mediates Cd efflux to the apoplast.We found that Fo10 symbiosis in rice is regulated by OsCAL1 dynamics,and Fo10 coordinates multiple plant pro-cesses,including Cd uptake,vacuolar sequestration,efflux to the environment,and formation of Fe pla-ques in the rhizosphere.These processes are dependent on the salicylic acid signaling pathway to keep Cd levels low in the cytosol of rice cells and to decrease Cd levels in rice grains without any yield penalty.Fo10 also plays a role in Cd tolerance in the poaceous crop maize and wheat,but has no observed effects in the eudicot plants Arabidopsis and tomato.Taken together,these findings provide insights into the mech-anistic basis underlying how afungal endophyte and host plant interact to control Cd accumulation in host plants by adapting defense responses to promotethe establishment ofa symbiosis that permits adaptation to high-Cd environments.
