Background It is unclear whether the effect of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery ablation is better than catheter ablation on paroxysmal atrial fibrillation （PAF） or not. This study aimed to compare the effects of catheter ablation and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery ablation on PAF. Methods From March 2008 to March 2012, 138 consecutive patients with PAF were randomly assigned to receive either video-assisted thorecoscopic surgery ablation （thoracoscopy group, n=66） or the traditional catheter ablation （catheter group, n=72）. Results No patient died during the study and all were successfully followed and included in analysis. There were no significant differences in clinical and echocardiographic characteristics between the two groups. All patients were evaluated at 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months after discharge by physical examination and related laboratory tests. Preoperative left atrium dimensions （LADs） of the recurrent AF were （47±4） mm in the thoracoscopy group and （46±8） mm in the catheter group, whereas the LADs were （40±5） and （39±9） mm, respectively, in non-recurrent PAF. Conclusions The short-term outcome of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery ablation is safe and effective; and the indications are wider than those for catheter ablation. The larger left atrium diameter is related to the recurrence of atrial fibrillation. Chin Med J 2014;127 （14）： 2567-2570

Acid deposition critical loads modeling for the simulation of sulfur exceedance and reduction in Guangdong, China

The current acid deposition critical loads in Guangdong, China were calculated using the PROFILE model with a 3 km × 3 km resolution. Calculations were carded out for critical loads of potential acidity, actual acidity, sulfur and nitrogen, with values in extents of 0-3.5, 0-14.0, 0-26.0 and 0-3.5 kmol/（***）, respectively. These values were comparable to previously reported results and reflected the influences of vegetation and soil characteristics on the soil acid buffering capacity. Simulations of SO2 emission and sulfur deposition in this study showed that sulfur deposition core areas mirrored SO2 emission centers. The prediction of sulfur deposition after 20% and 40% reduction of SO2 emission suggested that the reduction of area sources contributed greatly to the decrease of sulfur deposition. Thus, abatement of area source emissions could be the primary way to mitigate sulfur deposition in Guangdong to meet both the provincial and national regulations of air pollution control.

The effects of interaction between Bacillus subtilis DBM and soil minerals on Cu(Ⅱ)and Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption were *** combination with DBM,the Cu(Ⅱ)and Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption capacities of kaolinite and goethite improved compared with the application of the minerals *** modeling results of potentiometric titration data proved that the site concentrations of kaolinite and goethite increased by 80%and 30%,respectively after combination with ***,the involvement of functional groups in the DBM/mineral combinations resulted in lower concentrations of observed sites than the theoretical values and led to the enhancement of desorption rates by NH_4NO_3 and EDTA-Na_*** DBM-mineral complexes might also help to prevent heavy metals from entering DBM cells to improve the survivability of DBM in heavy metal-contaminated *** the combination process,the extracellular proteins of DBM provided more binding sites for the minerals to absorb Cu(Ⅱ)and Pb(Ⅱ).In particular,an especially stable complexation site was formed between goethite and phosphodiester bonds from EPS to enhance the Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption ***,we can conclude that the DBM–mineral complexes could improve the Cu(Ⅱ)and Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption capacities of minerals and protect DBM in heavy metal-contaminated environments.

Mechanisms of soil Pb immobilization by Bacillus subtilis DBM, a bacterial strain isolated from a heavy-metal-contaminated soil, were investigated. Adsorption and desorption experiments with living bacterial cells as well as dead cells revealed that both extracellular adsorption and intracellular accumulation were involved in the Pb2＋removal from the liquid phase. Of the sequestered Pb（II）, 8.5% was held by physical entrapment within the cell wall, 43.3% was held by ion-exchange, 9.7% was complexed with cell surface functional groups or precipitated on the cell surface, and 38.5% was intracellularly *** of Pb2＋with carboxyl, hydroxyl, carbonyl, amido, and phosphate groups was demonstrated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic analysis. Precipitates of Pb5（PO4）3OH, Pb5（PO4）3Cl and Pb10（PO4）6（OH）2that formed on the cell surface during the biosorption process were identified by X-ray diffraction analysis. Transmission electron microscopy–energy dispersive spectroscopic analysis confirmed the presence of the Pb（II）precipitates and that Pb（II） could be sequestered both extracellularly and *** with B. subtilis DBM significantly decreased the amount of the weak-acid-soluble Pb fraction in a heavy-metal-contaminated soil, resulting in a reduction in Pb bioavailability, but increased the amount of its organic-matter-bound fraction by 71%. The ability of *** DBM to reduce the bioavailability of soil Pb makes it potentially useful for bacteria-assisted phytostabilization of multi-heavy-metal-contaminated soil.

近代以来关于“国家理由”的论证中,以基督教二元主义政治观为背景的自由主义与在思辨神学的框架中展开的黑格尔主义,各执一端,互相反对。如果以市民社会与国家之间的关系为线索,以康德的“判断力批判”为视角,重构马克思批判黑格尔法哲学的进路,则不仅可以揭示出黑格尔法哲学的思辨哲学根源,提炼出一种既不同于自由主义、又不同于黑格尔主义的国家形式,而且还可能将这种形式与中国传统社会的批判性分析予以对接。在更高的层次重构马克思的法哲学批判,当是突破“国家理由”之二律背反,激活马克思主义哲学之当代潜力的推进方向。
