This experiment was conducted to study the effects of dietary supplementation with acidifiers on the growth performance,meat quality,and intestinal health of broiler chickens.A total of 648 male Arbor Acres broiler chickens at 1 d old were randomly divided into 6 groups,and each group consisted of 6 replicates with 18 broilers per *** dietary treatments were as follows:negative control(NC,the basal diet),NC+antibiotic(enramycin,8 mg/kg,positive control[PC]),NC+phosphoric acid(PA,0.1,0.2,and 0.3 g/kg),and NC+lactic acid(LA,0.3 g/kg).The feeding trial lasted for 42 *** results showed that the feed-to-gain ratio of the NC+acidifier groups was lower than that of the NC and PC groups from 1 to 42 d(Plipase activities of the duodenum in the NC+PA(0.2 and 0.3 g/kg)groups,as well as the villus height-to-crypt depth(VH:CD)ratio of the duodenum in the NC+PA(0.1 g/kg)group was significantly greater(Pli and Salmonella in the cecum of the NC+PA(0.1 g/kg)and LA(0.3 g/kg)groups were decreased(Plity,and intestinal health of broilers,in which the effects of PA(0.1 g/kg and 0.2 g/kg)are better than the other supplementations.

Dengue has been well recognized as a global public health threat,but only sporadic epidemics and imported cases were reported in recent decades in *** July 2014,an unexpected large dengue outbreak has occurred in Guangdong province,China,resulting in more than 40000 patients including six *** clarify and characterize the causative agent of this outbreak,the acute phase serum from a patient diagnosed with severe dengue was subjected to virus isolation and high-throughput sequencing(HTS).Traditional real-time RT-PCR and HTS with Ion Torrent PGM detected the presence of dengue virus serotype 2(DENV-2).A clinical DENV-2 isolate GZ05/2014 was obtained by culturing the patient serum in mosquito C6/36 *** complete genome of GZ05/2014 was determined and deposited in Gen Bank under the access number *** analysis based on the complete envelope gene showed that the newly DENV-2 isolate belonged to Cosmopolitan genotype and clustered closely with other Guangdong strains isolated in the past *** amino acid mutations that are obviously known to increase virulence or replication were identified throughout the genome of GZ05/*** high homology of Guangdong DENV-2 strains indicated the possibility of establishment of local DENV-2 circulation in Guangdong,*** results help clarify the origin of this epidemic and predict the future status of dengue in China.

AIM: To study the effect of blocking intestinal lymphatic circulation in two-hit rats and explore the significance of intestinal lymphatic circulation in two-hit. METHODS: Wistar rats were divided equally into three groups: mesenteric lymph duct ligation group, non- ligation group and sham group. Mesenteric lymph was diverted by ligation of mesenteric lymph duct, and the two-hit model was established by hemorrhage and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) methods. All rats were sampled for serum pre-experiment and 24 h post- experiment. The organs including kidney, liver, lung and heart were collected for pathomorphologic observation and biochemical investigation. The nitric oxide (NO), malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) were determined in serum and tissue homogenate. RESULTS: Pathomorphology study showed that the structures of kidney, lung, liver and heart tissues were normal in sham group; congestion, degeneration and necrosis in non-ligation group; but only mild lesions in ligation group. After two-hits, the contents of AST, ALT, BUN, Cr and LDH-1 in the serum of non-ligation group and ligation group were obviously higher than that in pre-experiment group and sham group, but obviously lower than that in non-ligation group. The contents of NO2-/NO3-, NOS, iNOS and MDA in the serum of non- ligation group were significantly increased, compared with pre-experiment and sham group, but SOD was significantly lower. These parameters were significantly different in ligation group compared with that in sham group, but NO2-/NO3-, iNOS and MDA in ligation group were significantly lower than that in non-ligation group. CONCLUSION: ligation of mesenteric lymph duct could improve the disturbance of organic function and morphologic damage in two-hit rats; the lymphatic mechanism in two-hit should be emphasized.

Background Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a common infectious disease in childhood caused by an enterovirus (EV), and which is principally seen in children under 5 years of age. To promote diagnostic awareness and effective treat-ments, to further standardize and strengthen the clinical management and to reduce the mortality of HFMD, the guidelines for diagnosis and treatment have been developed. Methods National Health Commission of China assembled an expert committee for a revision of the guidelines. The com-mittee included 33 members who are specialized in diagnosis and treatment of HFMD. Results Early recognition of severe cases is utmost important in diagnosis and treatment of patients with HFMD. The key to diagnosis and treatment of severe cases lies in the timely and accurate recognition of stages 2 and 3 of HFMD, in order to stop progression to stage 4. Clinicians should particularly pay attention to those EV-A71 cases in children aged less than 3 years, and those with disease duration less than 3 days. The following indicators should alert the clinician of possible deterioration and impending critical disease: (1) persistent hyperthermia;(2) involvement of nervous system;(3) worsening respiratory rate and rhythm;(4) circulatory dysfunction;(5) elevated peripheral WBC count;(6) elevated blood glucose and (7) elevated blood lactic acid. For treatment, most mild cases can be treated as outpatients. Patients should be isolated to avoid cross-infection. Intense treatment modalities should be given for those severe cases. Conclusion The guidelines can provide systematic guidance on the diagnosis and management of HFMD.

As one of the three payloads for the Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory(ASO-S)mission,the Lyman-alpha(Lyα)Solar Telescope(LST)is composed of three instruments:a Solar Corona Imager(SCI),a LyαSolar Disk Imager(SDI)and a full-disk White-light Solar Telescope(WST).When working in-orbit,LST will simultaneously perform high-resolution imaging observations of all regions from the solar disk to the inner corona up to 2.5 R⊙(R⊙stands for the mean solar radius)with a spatial resolution of 4.8′′and 1.2′′for coronal and disk observations,respectively,and a temporal resolution of 30–120 s and 1–120 s for coronal and disk observations,*** maximum exposure time can be up to20 s due to precise pointing and image stabilization *** the three telescopes of LST,SCI is a dual-waveband coronagraph simultaneously and independently observing the inner corona in the HI Lyα(121.6±10 nm)line and white light(WL)(700±40 nm)wavebands by using a narrowband Lyαbeam splitter and has a field of view(FOV)from 1.1 to 2.5 R⊙.The stray-light suppression level can attainline and 360.0 nm wavebands,respectively,which adopt an off-axis two-mirror reflective structure with an FOV up to 1.2 R⊙,covering the inner coronal edge area and relating to coronal *** present the up-to-date design for the LST payload.
