Significantly enhanced superconductivity in monolayer FeSe films on SrTiO3（001） via metallic δ-doping

Superconductivity transition temperature（Tc） marks the inception of a macroscopic quantum phase-coherent paired state in fermionic systems. For 2D superconductivity, the paired electrons condense into a coherent superfluid state at Tc, which is usually lower than the pairing temperature, between which intrinsic physics including Berezinskii–Kosterlitz–Thouless transition and pseudogap state are hotly debated. In the case of monolayer FeSe superconducting films on SrTiO3（001）, although the pairing temperature（Tp） is revealed to be 65–83 K by using spectroscopy characterization, the measured zero-resistance temperature（Tc0） is limited to 20 K. Here, we report significantly enhanced superconductivity in monolayer FeSe films by δ-doping of Eu or Al on SrTiO3（001） surface, in which Tc0is enhanced by 12 K with a narrowed transition width ΔTc～8 K, compared with non-doped samples. Using scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy measurements, we demonstrate lowered work function of the δ-doped SrTiO3（001） surface and enlarged superconducting gaps in the monolayer FeSe with improved morphology/electronic homogeneity. Our work provides a practical route to enhance 2D superconductivity by using interface engineering.

ENDOGENOUS EXPRESSION AND HLA STABILIZATION ASSAY OF PLASMODIUM FALCIPARUM CTL EPITOPE MINIGENE IN HUMAN HLA- A2.1 AND HLA- B51 CELLS

To evaluate the Plasmodium falciparum CTL epitope vaccines in HLA class I allele specific human cell lines that have high frequency among Chinese population. Methods. Synthesized oligonucleotides encoding for P.f. CTL epitope genes, constructed eukaryotic expression plasmids, transfected the minigenes into HLA class I allele specific human cell lines and identified endogenous expressing of the minigenes by RT- PCR and HLA stabilization assay. Results. Two mini- genes encoding Plasmodium falciparum CTL epitopes were designed and cloned, respectively, into an eukaryotic expressing vector to form TR26 which was restricted to HLA- B51, SH6 which was restricted to HLA- A2.1, and TS, which had the two aforementioned mini- genes fused in tandem. All of these CTL epitope genes were transfected and endogenously expressed in respective cell lines containing appropriate HLA molecules. The obviously increased expressions of HLA class I molecules were detected in the transfected cell lines. It was demonstrated that the two discrete Plasmodium falciparum epitope genes were effectively processed and presented, and the close proximity of the two epitope genes in one chain as in mini- gene TS did not interfere with the processing and presenting of each epitope gene in corresponding cell line. Conclusion. A successful expression and presentation of multiple CTL epitope mini- gene in MHC class I allele specific human cell lines were demonstrated by an in vitro assay, which could be corresponding to the vaccination of CTL vaccines in people with different MHC I molecules. This work also suggested the possibility of constructing a multiple CTL epitope plasmodium falciparum DNA vaccine that could cover most of Chinese population.

Methyl 12-bromo-13,14-furoxan-deisopropyldehydroabietate, C18H22BrN2O4, has been synthesized and characterized by IR,^1H NMR, ^13C NMR and single-crystal X-ray diffraction method. It crystallizes in orthorhombic, space group P212121 with a = 6.652（2）, b = 12.832（4）, c = 20.483（6）°A, V = 1748.5（9） °A^3, Z = 4, Mr = 410.29, D, = 1.559 g/cm^3, λ= 0.71070°A, μ（MoKα） = 2.377 mm^-1, F（000） = 844, the final R = 0.0243 and wR = 0.0533 for 3780 observed reflections with I〉 2σ（I）. The C-H and bromine atom are involved in intermolecular hydrogen bonds which link the molecules into a one-dimensional chain.

BACKGROUND The guiding effect of prognostic stratification in multiple myeloma(MM) for treatment has been increasingly emphasized in recent years. The stratification of risk factors based on the International Staging System(ISS), Durie-Salmon(DS)staging and related indicators is affected by the renal function of patients,resulting in poor performance. According to IL-32 level, patients were divided into two *** variables under consideration included age, blood β2-microglobulin,albumin, C-reactive protein, serum calcium, serum creatinine, lactate dehydrogenase, M protein type, ISS stage, DS stage, and IL-32 levels and minimal residual disease(MRD) after induction treatment. The main outcomes were progression-free survival(PFS) and overall survival(OS).RESULTS IL-32 was an important factor affecting PFS and OS in patients with *** with patients with IL-32 levels ≥ 856.4 pg/m L, patients with IL-32 levels < 856.4 pg/m L had longer PFS(P = 0.0387) and OS(P = 0.0379);Univariate analysis showed that IL-32 level and MRD were significantly associated with OS and PFS(P < 0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that IL-32 levels ≥ 856.4 pg/m L and MRD positive were still independent risk factors for OS and PFS(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION IL-32 is valuable for assessing the prognosis of MM patients. IL-32 level combined with MRD may be a useful routine evaluation index for MM patients after treatment.

Off-policy correction algorithm for double Q network based on deep reinforcement learning

A deep reinforcement learning(DRL)method based on the deep deterministic policy gradient(DDPG)algorithm is proposed to address the problems of a mismatch between the needed training samples and the actual training samples during the training of in-telligence,the overestimation and underestimation of the existence of Q-values,and the insufficient dynamism of the intelligence policy *** method introduces the Actor-Critic Off-Policy Correction(AC-Off-POC)reinforcement learning framework and an improved double Q-value learning method,which enables the value function network in the target task to provide a more accurate evaluation of the policy network and converge to the optimal policy more quickly and stably to obtain higher value *** method is applied to multiple MuJoCo tasks on the Open AI Gym simulation *** experimental results show that it is better than the DDPG algorithm based solely on the different policy correction framework(AC-Off-POC)and the conventional DRL *** value of returns and stability of the double-Q-network off-policy correction algorithm for the deep deterministic policy gradient(DCAOP-DDPG)pro-posed by the authors are significantly higher than those of other DRL algorithms.

Overexpression of YOD1 Promotes the Migration of Human Oral Keratinocytes by Enhancing TGF-β3 Signaling

Objective To investigate the effects of YOD1 overexpression on the proliferation and migration of human oral keratinocytes（HOKs）, and to clarify whether the mechanisms involve transforming growth factor-β（TGF-β） signaling. Methods HOKs were transfected with the plasmid p EGFP-N3-YOD1 containing YOD1. The mR NA levels of YOD1 and TGF-β were determined by q PCR. The protein expressions of YOD1, TGF-β, Smad2/3, Smad4, and phospho-Smad2/3 were determined by western blotting. Cell proliferation and migration were evaluated by Cell Counting Kit-8 assay and wound healing assay, respectively. Results The m RNA and protein levels of YOD1 were higher in HOKs transfected with YOD1. YOD1 overexpression significantly enhanced the migration of HOKs. The mR NA and protein levels of TGF-β3 were increased by YOD1 overexpression. HOKs transfected with YOD1 exhibited increased phospho-Smad2/3 levels. Conclusion YOD1 overexpression enhances cell migration by promoting TGF-β3 signaling which may play an important role in lip and palate formation. YOD1 mutation may contribute to aberrant TGF-β3 signaling associated with decreased cell migration resulting in NSCLP.

Chinese medicine(CM) has a good clinical effect on osteoarthritis(OA), but the mechanism is not very clear. Evidence-based medicine researches have shown that intestinal flora plays a role in the pathogenesis and succession of OA. Intestinal flora affects the efficacy of CM, and CM can affect the balance of intestinal flora. This paper focuses on the relationship between intestinal flora, intestinal microenvironment, brain-gut axis, metabolic immunity and OA, and preliminarily expound the significance of intestinal flora in the pathogenesis of OA and the mechanism of CM intervention. The above discussion will be of great significance in the prevention and treatment of OA by CM from the perspective of intestinal flora.

Objective To identify factors affecting the efficacy of steroid-eluting sinus stents implanted after endoscopic sinus surgery(ESS)in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps(CRSwNP).Methods We performed a post-hoc analysis of a randomized self-controlled clinical trial on post-operative implantation of bioabsorbable steroid-eluting stents in patients with *** logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify which of the following factors affect the response to post-operative stent implantation:sex,serum eosinophil levels,history of prior surgery,endoscopic scores,and comorbid conditions(asthma and allergic rhinitis).The primary outcome was the rate of post-operative intervention on day 30,and the secondary outcome was the rate of polypoid tissue formation(grades 2–3)on days 14,30,and *** A total of 151 patients with CRSwNP were included in the post-hoc *** was identified as the only risk factor for a poor response to steroid-eluting sinus stents on post-operative day 30,with an odds ratio of 23.71(95%CI,2.81,200.16;P=0.004)for the need for post-operative intervention and 19(95%CI,2.20,164.16;P=0.003)for moderate-to-severe polypoid tissue *** addition,the asthmatic group showed higher rates of post-operative intervention and polypoid tissue formation than the non-asthmatic group on post-operative day *** eosinophil levels were not identified as a risk factor for poor outcomes after stent *** Comorbid asthma,but not blood eosinophil level,impairs the efficacy of steroid-eluting sinus stents in the short term after ESS in patients with CRSwNP.

Strong Coupling between Propagating and Localized Surface Plasmons in Plasmonic Cavities

Au/GaAs/Au plasmonic cavities with a periodic hole array perforated in the top Au layer are *** surface plasmons(PSPs)and localized surface plasmons(LSPs)associated with the rectangle hole shapes are found to interact and highly hybridize in the cavity structure,which eventually determines the resonance properties of the *** anticrossing of resonance frequencies in the reflection spectra is observed when the frequency of PSPs approaches that of LSPs,demonstrating the strong coupling between SPPs and LSPs in the tri-layer plasmonic *** work may provide hints to the plasmonic cavity design for light-harvesting optoelectronic applications.
