China is a center of diversity for Malus Mill,with 27 native species including 21 wild species and six domesticated *** applied a set of 19 simple sequence repeat markers to genotype 798 accessions of 17 species(12 wild species and five cultivated species)of Malus originating from 14 provinces in China.A total of 500 alleles were *** statistics indicated a high level of genetic variation as quantified by the average values of the effective allele number(N_(e)).expected heterozygosity(H_(e)),and Shannon's Information Index(I)(10.309,0.886,and 2.545,respectively).Malus sieversii(MSR;H_(e)=0.814,I=2.041,N_(e)=6.054),***(MBB;H_(e)=0.848,/=2.350,N_(e)=8.652),***(MTH;He=0.663,I=1.355,N_(e)=3.332),and ***(MHR;H_(e)=0.539,I=0.912,N_(e)=0.579)showed a higher level of genetic diversity in this study than the previous *** and MBB contributed to the origin and evolution of some accessions of *** ***(MDC).However,other accessions of MDC showed a closer genetic distance with MBB and cultivated species,especially ***(MRB),***(MAN),and ***(MPB).Not all accessions of MDC were descended from MSR in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of *** research provides novel insights into the genetic relationships of Malus native to China,which will be useful for genetic association studies,germplasm conservation,and breeding programs.

Pigmented spot is an important branch in the science of skin. But when processing those images, the microscopical focusing problem arises. It affects the image recognition later. In order to find the best method to solve it, comparison and analysis are given to various existing methods of image fusion in this paper . The conclusion is wavelet transform based on pixel-level.

Background Frozen or dried corneal grafts are commonly used for stromal transplantation such as lamellar keratoplasty （full or partial thickness）, keratophakia, epikeratophakia. Structural properties are important for the final optical results of these surgeries but the effects of freezing/thawing and drying/rehydration on the properties of the stroma are known little compared with the corneal endothelium, mainly because of lack of non-invasive technique to evaluate the stromal structure. This study aimed to investigate the swelling and structural properties of the bovine corneal stroma following freezing or drying by X-ray diffraction which was a non-invasive technique and could give ultra-structural information in hydrated tissues. Methods Bovine corneas were either frozen at -40~C or dried to constant weight in a dessicator over silica gel. Swelling was carried out by placing the corneas into dialysis tubing and equilibrating them against various concentrations of polyethylene glycol （PEG） to obtain a range of tissue hydrations. This method minimises the loss of soluble tissue components during the swelling process. Synchrotron X-ray diffraction was used to measure the average intermolecular spacing, the interfibrillar spacing and the fibril diameter as a function of hydration. Changes in light scattering were detected using a microdensitometer. Results Freezing and thawing of the cornea caused an increase in light scattering by 63.9% at tissue hydration （H）=3.4, and by 50.0% at H=4.9. Repeated freezing and thawing causes further increased by 38.9% at the second time and another 36.0% at the third time （P 〈0.05）. There was a tendency for both the frozen and the dried comeas to lose some swelling ability, achieving hydrations respectively of 10% and 18% below those of fresh corneas at 0 PEG. The underlying physics of QCD phase transition in the early Universe remains largely unknown due to its strong-coupling nature during the quark-gluon plasma/hadron gas transition, yet a holographic model has been proposed to quantitatively fit the lattice QCD data while with its duration of the first-order phase transition(FoPT) left undetermined. At specific baryon chemical potential, the first-order QCD phase transition agrees with the observational constraint of baryon asymmetry. It, therefore, provides a scenario for phase transition gravitational waves(GWs) within the standard model of particle physics. If these background GWs could contribute dominantly to the recently claimed common-spectrum red noise from pulsar timing array(PTA) observations, the duration of this FoPT can be well constrained, and the associated primordial black holes are still allowed by current observations.

Satellite edge computing has garnered significant attention from researchers;however,processing a large volume of tasks within multi-node satellite networks still poses considerable *** sharp increase in user demand for latency-sensitive tasks has inevitably led to offloading bottlenecks and insufficient computational capacity on individual satellite edge servers,making it necessary to implement effective task offloading scheduling to enhance user *** this paper,we propose a priority-based task scheduling strategy based on a Software-Defined Network(SDN)framework for satellite-terrestrial integrated networks,which clarifies the execution order of tasks based on their ***,we apply a Dueling-Double Deep Q-Network(DDQN)algorithm enhanced with prioritized experience replay to derive a computation offloading strategy,improving the experience replay mechanism within the Dueling-DDQN ***,we utilize the Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient(DDPG)algorithm to determine the optimal resource allocation strategy to reduce the processing latency of *** results demonstrate that the proposed d3-DDPG algorithm outperforms other approaches,effectively reducing task processing latency and thus improving user experience and system efficiency.

As a microforming technique, micro/nano-structural replication possesses advantages of high precision and efficiency. With the remarkable superplasticity in the supercooled liquid region, amorphous alloys or metallic glasses(MGs) are regarded as ideal materials for miniature fabrication. However, due to the intrinsic metastable nature of supercooled liquids, the design of imprinting processes for MGs poses a challenge. In the past, process parameters have largely relied on trial-and-error *** this work, a low-frequency active force modulation system is employed to apply a stable, precise, and real-time feedback stress field for imprinting of MG samples. Low-frequency vibrations can facilitate the filling of microstructures on the template surface by reducing the effective viscosity of the supercooled liquid. With the dataset composed of orthogonal experiments, a machine learning strategy based on back-propagation(BP) neural networks was utilized to construct a 3D parameter space for temperature, stress, and time, and to predict the corresponding filling ratio. Furthermore, the optimal combination of imprinting process parameters was identified, and its filling ratio was experimentally validated to reach as high as 0.94. The near-perfect replication of microstructures confirms the superiority of the active force modulation system and the data-driven strategy of machine learning-assisted parameter design. At the same time, this one-step microforming process provides a new approach to addressing the accuracy-cost trade-off dilemma in precision manufacturing.

A robust statistical prediction model for late-summer heavy precipitation days in North China

Recently, heavy precipitation(HP) events have occurred frequently in North China(NC), causing devastating economic losses and human fatalities. However, the short-term climate prediction of HP is quite limited. Combining year-to-year increment(DY) method and sliding correlations, we developed a robust seasonal prediction model for late-summer HP days(HPDs) in NC during 1982–2022, utilizing three independent predictors—February sea surface temperature(SST) in the Indian Ocean(SST＿IO), February snow depth over North Asia(SDE＿NA), and May melted snow depth in NC(MSDE＿NC). The SST＿IO anomalies affect NC's precipitation through the Pacific-Japan pattern. The SDE＿NA anomalies are associated with East Asian anomalous anticyclone by southeastern propagation of Rossby wave at Eurasia. The MSDE＿NC anomalies are followed by vertical motion and moisture anomalies in situ and thereby cause precipitation anomalies. This prediction model can well simulate the variations of the HPDs, with a correlation coefficient(CC) of 0.81(0.65) between the observed and predicted HPDs＿DY(HPDs＿anomaly). The percentage with the same sign for 15 extreme HPDs＿anomaly years(PSSE) is 100%.Moreover, in the cross-validation test during 1982–2022, the PSSE for HPDs＿anomaly is as high as 100%, along with a low rootmean-square error of 1.14. For independent hindcasts during 2013–2022, the CC between the observed and predicted HPDs＿DY(HPDs＿anomaly) is 0.93(0.83), together with high Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency(0.82) and agreement index(0.89). Specifically, the predictions are broadly consistent with the observations for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2021, and 2022, reflecting excellent performance of this prediction model of HPDs in NC.
