Impact of Polymer Matrix on Polymer Mechanochromism from Excited State Intramolecular Proton Transfer

Mechanochromic polymers based on non-covalent changes have attracted much attention ***,we report the impact of inter/intramolecular hydrogen bonds on polymer mechanochromism from the excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) ***-NH2-OH and PhMz=2A are designed and obtained by simple and high-yield synthesis,and are connected into polyurethane and poly(methyl acrylate-co-2-ethylhexyl acrylate),*** the initial state,the PhMz-NH2-OH@PU sample shows blue fluorescence from the excited enol form (E*) excitons,owing to intermolecular hydrogen bonds that interrupt the ESIPT reactions but the PhMz=2A@PMA-2-EA sample expresses cyan fluorescence belonging to the excited keto form (K*) emission,implying that the intramolecular hydrogen bonds ***,under stretching,external force can tune the emission of the PhMz=2A@PMA-2-EA sample from K* to E* *** external force can putatively still promote a bond rotation,ESIPT reactions remain equivalently interrupted in both the relaxed and stressed states in a hydrogen-bond donating *** calculation confirms the force-induced increase in dihedral angle for the transition of ESIPT-on/***,PhMz-NH2-OH@PU and PhMz=2A@PMA-2-EA showed disparate initial ESIPT states and further different responses/sensitivity to *** study reports a novel and efficient strategy for enriching mechanochromic investigation and extending the applications of ESIPT reactions.

Dynamic DNA nanotechnology plays a significant role in nanomedicine and information science due to its high programmability based on watson-Crick base pairing and nanoscale *** DNA machines and networks have been widely used in various fields,including molecular imaging,biosensors,drug delivery,information processing,and logic *** serve as crucial components for information compilation and transfer,allowing the conversion of information from diverse application scenarios into a format recognized and applied by DNA ***,there are only a few encoder designs with DNA ***,the molecular priority encoder is hardly *** this study,we introduce allosteric DNAzyme-based encoders for information *** design of the allosteric domain and the recognition arm allows the input and output to be independent of each other and freely *** pre-packaged mode design achieves uniformity of baseline dynamics and dynamics *** also integrated non-nucleic acid molecules into the encoder through the aptamer design of the allosteric ***,we developed the 2^(n)-n encoder and the EndoⅣ-assisted priority encoder inspired by immunoglobulin's molecular structure and effector *** our knowledge,the proposed encoder is the first enzyme-free DNA encoder with DNA output,and the priority encoder is the first molecular priority encoder in the DNA reaction *** encoders avoid complex operations on a single molecule,and their simple structure facilitates their application in complex DNA circuits and biological scenarios.

Finite-time tracking control of heterogeneous multi-AUV systems with partial measurements and intermittent communication

The development of a distributed trajectory-tracking control strategy that is independent of velocity measurements is critical to achieving finite-time tracking control of autonomous underwater vehicle(AUV) systems. In this study, a group of heterogeneous AUV systems with intermittent communication links is considered and a finite-time trajectory-tracking control strategy is developed. The strategy includes two observers and one controller proposed for each follower-AUV. The first observer, a hybrid finite-time observer,estimates the state of the leader, whereas the second observer, which relies only on the position measurement,is proposed to estimate the states of the follower-AUV itself. In addition, a distributed trajectory-tracking controller is designed using the states estimated by the intermittent communication network even without velocity measurements. A homogeneous technique is utilized to prove that all followers can track the leader in a finite time. Finally, the effectiveness of the developed finite-time tracking control strategy is illustrated by numerical simulations.

Trajectory tracking guidance of interceptor via prescribed performance integral sliding mode with neural network disturbance observer

This paper investigates interception missiles’trajectory tracking guidance problem under wind field and external disturbances in the boost ***,the velocity control in such trajectory tracking guidance systems of missiles is *** our contribution,the velocity control channel is designed to deal with the intractable velocity problem and improve tracking *** global prescribed performance function,which guarantees the tracking error within the set range and the global convergence of the tracking guidance system,is first proposed based on the traditional ***,a tracking guidance strategy is derived using the integral sliding mode control techniques to make the sliding manifold and tracking errors converge to zero and avoid ***,an improved switching control law is introduced into the designed tracking guidance algorithm to deal with the chattering problem.A back propagation neural network(BPNN)extended state observer(BPNNESO)is employed in the inner loop to identify *** obtained results indicate that the proposed tracking guidance approach achieves the trajectory tracking guidance objective without and with disturbances and outperforms the existing tracking guidance schemes with the lowest tracking errors,convergence times,and overshoots.

Efficient Nonnegative Tensor Decomposition Using Alternating Direction Proximal Method of Multipliers

Nonnegative CANDECOMP/PARAFAC（NCP） tensor decomposition is a powerful tool for multiway signal processing. The alternating direction method of multipliers（ADMM） optimization algorithm has become increasingly popular for solving tensor decomposition problems in the block coordinate descent framework. However,the ADMM-based NCP algorithm suffers from rank deficiency and slow convergence for some large-scale and highly sparse tensor data. The proximal algorithm is preferred to enhance optimization algorithms and improve convergence properties. In this study, we propose a novel NCP algorithm using the alternating direction proximal method of multipliers（ADPMM） that consists of the proximal algorithm. The proposed NCP algorithm can guarantee convergence and overcome the rank deficiency. Moreover, we implement the proposed NCP using an inexact scheme that alternatively optimizes the subproblems. Each subproblem is optimized by a finite number of inner iterations yielding fast computation speed. Our NCP algorithm is a hybrid of alternating optimization and ADPMM and is named *** experimental results on synthetic and real-world tensors demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed algorithm.

GOES-16 ABI Brightness Temperature Observations Capturing Vortex Rossby wave Signals during Rapid Intensification of hurricane Irma(2017)

Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite-16(GOES-16) Advanced Baseline Imager(ABI) observations of brightness temperature(TB) are used to examine the temporal evolutions of convection-affected structures of hurricane Irma(2017) during its rapid intensification(RI) period from 0600 to 1800 UTC 4 September *** ABI observations reveal that both an elliptical eye and a spiral rainband that originated from Irma's eyewall obviously exhibit wavenumber-2 TB *** elliptical eye underwent a counterclockwise rotation at a mean speed of a wavenumber-2 vortex Rossby edge wave from 0815 to 1005 UTC 4 *** the following about 2 hours(1025–1255 UTC 4 September),an inner spiral rainband originated from the eyewall and propagated at a phase speed that approximates the vortex Rossby wave(VRw) phase speed calculated from the aircraft reconnaissance *** the RI period of Irma,ABI TB observations show an on–off occurrence of low TB intrusions into the eye,accompanying a phase lock of eyewall TB asymmetries of wavenumbers 1 and 2 and an outward propagation of VRw-like inner spiral rainbands from the *** phase lock leads to an energy growth of Irma's eyewall *** the eye remained clear from 1415 to 1725 UTC 4 September,an inner spiral rainband that originated from a large convective area also had a VRw-like outward propagation,which is probably due to a vertical tilt of *** study suggests a potential link between convection sensitive GOES imager observations and hurricane dynamics.

Steam reforming of acetic acid over Ni/biochar of low metal-loading:Involvement of biochar in tailoring reaction intermediates renders superior catalytic performance

Biochar is a reactive carrier as it may be partially gasified with steam in steam reforming,which could influence the formation of reaction intermediates and modify catalytic ***,the Ni/biochar as well as two comparative catalysts,Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) and Ni/SiO_(2),with low nickel loading(2%(mass))was conducted to probe involvement of the varied carriers in the steam *** results indicated that the Ni/biochar performed excellent catalytic activity than Ni/SiO_(2) and Ni/Al_(2)O_(3),as the biochar carrier facilitated quick conversion of the -OH from dissociation of steam to gasify the oxygen-rich carbonaceous intermediates like C=O and C-O-C,resulting in low coverage while high exposure of nickel species for maintaining the superior catalytic *** converse,strong adsorption of aliphatic intermediates over Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) and Ni/SiO_(2) induced serious coking with polymeric coke as the main type(21.5%and 32.1%,respectively),which was significantly higher than that over Ni/biochar(3.9%).The coke over Ni/biochar was mainly aromatic or catalytic type with nanotube morphology and high *** high resistivity of Ni/biochar towards coking was due to the balance between formation of coke and gasification of coke and partially biochar with steam,which created developed mesopores in spent Ni/biochar while the coke blocked pores in Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) and Ni/SiO_(2) catalysts.
