Constraints on what controls millennial-scale basin-wide denudation across mountain belts, Asia

The terrestrial cosmogenic nuclide dataset consisting of 123310Be measurements of fluvial sediment samples across the Asian mountain belts is used to constrain the influence of climate,tectonics and topography on Earth-surface denudation processes.10Be-derived basin-wide denudation rates were recalculated using a Monte Carlo simulation approach that relied on pixel-by-pixel production *** rates derived span four orders of magnitude,from 7.4±0.7 mm kyr-1（1σ;Central Tibetan Plateau） to 9,646744+777mm kyr-1（1σ;Southern Tibetan Plateau）,with a median of 186 mm *** our results with the traditional basin-wide production rate scaling model using a centroid coordinate and mean elevation,suggests that 96.6%of production rates will be underestimated using the latter method,especially for basins with a large *** bias between both methods reaches as large as 40%,caused by basin hypsometry and the nonlinear scaling of production rate with elevation and *** of the correlations between uniformly recalculated denudation rates and tectonics,climate,topography and rock lithology will facilitate the extrapolation of denudation rates in unknown basins using available *** the perspective of local scales,precipitation coupled with neotectonics-driven landslides is likely the most influential factor in subtropical Taiw.n Island,while topography primarily constrains surface denudation rates in the eastern Tibetan Plateau within a narrow range of *** highland regions with glacier coverage,such as the Pamir,central and southern Tibetan Plateau high denudation rates are affected by glaciation,whereas lower precipitation and high erosion base level may limit river incision and evolving relief in the Central Tibetan *** contrast to local-scale findings highlighting a dominant factor constraining denudation rate,our large-scale quantitative analyses across the Asian mountain belts finds that （1） topographic metrics including

Emerging progress: photochemical transformation of nitroso compounds

nitroso compounds have emerged as highly valuable reaction partners or reagents in organic synthesis due to their rich *** versatile profile of these compounds allows them to function as electrophiles, nucleophiles, diradicals, and radical acceptors in diverse transformations. In recent years, notable progress has been made in harnessing photochemical reactions with nitroso compounds to prepare n,O-containing structures using mild and eco-friendly conditions. Various nitroso compounds like nitrosoarenes, acyloxy nitroso compounds, n-nitrosoamines and nitrites have received significant attention for their ability to introduce nO moieties into complex molecules that are otherwise difficult to access. In this review, we provide an overview of the recent advancements in the visible light-induced conversion of nitroso compounds, with particular emphasis on their role as bifunctional reagents and acceptors of radicals, carbenes and nitrenes.

Dear Editor, Liver transplantation(LT) is the only curative therapy for patients with endstage liver disease(He et al., 2023; Ling et al., 2022). Post-transplant hypertriglyceridemia(PTHT), which has an incidence of up to 32.8% in 6 months after LT, is one of the major post-transplant complications(Toshima et al., 2020).

we investigate a set of well-posed interface conditions of viscous fluxes of navier–Stokes equations,extend them to three-dimensional navier–Stokes equations and successfully study a temporally turbulent mixing *** evolution of a large vortex structure and the non-dimensional statistical quantities in the mixing layer are numerically *** span-wise energy spectrum of the mixing layer exhibits wide band features,which means that the simulation generates the desired amount of small *** results show that too many small scales are present due to insufficient dissipation and the amount of large scales is low,indicating too much dissipation for large-scale structures.

In the intricate process of natural product biosynthesis, a metabolon can enhance metabolic flux by associating sequential enzymes. A fungal metabolon, comprising of flavin-dependent monooxygenase Spe F and P450 monooxygenase Spe G, is identified in the biosynthesis of spiro polycyclic alkaloids(+)-notoamide B and its diastereomer(+)-versicolamide B. Using notoamide E as a substance, Spe F/Spe G metabolon can control the stereoselectivity of its 2,3-epoxidation, followed by hydrogen atom ion at C-17 to generate reactive epoxide tau-m A with dienyl iminium unit. Subsequently,(+)-notoamide B and(+)-versicolamide B are produced via tandem nonenzymatic inverse-electron-demand Diels-Alder reaction and semipinacol rearrangement. This provides the first example of metabolon in the biosynthesis of spiro-prenylated indole alkaloids.

C-Alkyl glycosides are found in natural products and are indispensable in drug development programs,ow.ng to their diverse range of medicinal ***-component reactions involving glycosyl radical addition are well documented and proved efficient for the C-alkyl glycosides ***,multicomponent reactions for the rapid and controllable construction of structurally diversified C-alkyl glycosides in a single step remains a significant challenge due to the issues associated with balancing reactivity,compatibility,and ***,we report an nHC and photoredox co-catalyzed three-component method to access complex and valuable C-alkyl *** protocol exhibits broad substrate scope and excellent chemoand ***,nine types of sugars are compatible with this *** addition,the generality of this catalytic strategy was further highlighted by the potential for scalable production,the feasibility of further modifications of the products and its successful application in the late-stage functionalization of pharmaceutical skeletons.

In non-small cell lung cancers,the non-squamous and squamous subtypes（nsqnSCLC and sqnSCLC） exhibit disparities in pathophysiology,tumor immunology,and potential genomic correlates affecting responses to immune checkpoint inhibitor（ICI）-based *** our inhouse training cohort（n=85）,the presence of the LRP1B deleterious mutation（LRP1B-del） was associated with longer and shorter progression-free survival（PFS） on ICIs alone in nsqnSCLCs and sqnSCLCs,respectively(Pinteraction=0.008).These results were validated using a larger public ICI cohort(n=208,Pinteractionnofluorescence staining revealed an association between LRP1B-del and increased and decreased numbers of tumor-infiltrating CD8+T cells in nsqnSCLCs（P=0.040） and sqnSCLCs（P=0.014）,*** the POPLAR/OAK cohort,nsqnSCLCs with LRP1B-del demonstrated improved PFS benefits from atezolizumab over docetaxel(hazard ratio（HR）=0.70,P=0.046),whereas this benefit was negligible in those without LRP1B-del（HR=1.05,P=0.64）.Conversely,sqnSCLCs without LRP1B-del benefited more from atezolizumab（HR=0.60,P=0.002） than those with LRP1B-del（HR=1.30,P=0.31）.Consistent results were observed in the in-house CHOICE-01 cohort,in which nsqnSCLCs with LRP1B-del and sqnSCLCs without LRP1B-del benefited more from toripalimab plus chemotherapy than from chemotherapy alone(Pinteraction=0.008).This multi-cohort study delineates the antithetical impacts of LRP1B-del in nsqnSCLCs and sqnSCLCs on predicting the benefits from ICI alone or with chemotherapy over chemotherapy *** findings highlight the distinct clinical utility of LRP1B-del in guiding treatment choices for nsqnSCLCs and sqnSCLCs,emphasizing the necessity for a detailed analysis based on pathological subtypes when investigating biomarkers for cancer therapeutics.

Efficient photocatalytic H2 evolution over tubular mesoporous carbon nitride with n-vacancy by microwave-assisted synthesis

Modifying the microstructure of photocatalysts while simultaneously introducing vacancies has shown significant potential in enhancing their performance for hydrogen production. Herein, a novel tubular mesoporous carbon nitride（TMCn） with nitrogen vacancies was fabricated using a microwave-assisted synthesis strategy, employing melamine-cyanuric acid supramolecular（MC-S） as the precursor. The optimized TMCn exhibited an outstanding H2production rate, approximately 29 times higher than that of pristine g-C3n4. The n-vacancies serve as sites for reactant adsorption and activation, leading to enhanced delocalization of HOMO-LUMO. Furthermore, the porous structures of TMCn facilitate the reactant diffusion, while its tubular architectures promote the oriented transfer of charge carriers. Crucially, the markedly improved photocatalytic performance of TMCn can be predominantly attributed to the synergistic effects arising from its superior structure and n-vacancy defects. This work opens new possibilities for the simultaneous formation of surface defect states as photocatalytic reaction sites and distinctive structures conducive to charge carrier transport.

Molecular simulation study of the microstructures and properties of pyridinium ionic liquid[HPy][BF_(4)]mixed with acetonitrile

The microstructures and thermodynamic properties of mixed systems comprising pyridinium ionic liquid[HPy][BF_(4)]and acetonitrile at different mole fractions were studied using molecular dynamics simulation in this *** follow.ng properties were determined:density,self-diffusion coefficient,excess molar volume,and radial distribution *** results show that with an increase in the mole fraction of[HPy][BF_(4)],the self-diffusion coefficient ***,the excess molar volume initially decreases,reaches a minimum,and then *** rules of radial distribution functions(RDFs)of characteristic atoms are *** increasing the mole fraction of[HPy][BF_(4)],the first peak of the RDFs of HA1-F decreases,while that of CT6-CT6 rises at first and then *** indicates that the solvent molecules affect the polar and non-polar regions of[HPy][BF_(4)]differently.

Direct seawater splitting has emerged as a popular and promising research direction for synthesising clean,green,non-polluting,and sustainable hydrogen energy without depending on high-purity water in the face of the world’s shortage of fossil ***,efficient seawater splitting is hindered by slow kinetics caused by the ultra-low conductivity and the presence of bacteria,microorganisms,and stray ions in ***,producing hydrogen on an industrial scale is challenging due to the high production *** present review addresses these challenges from the catalyst point of view.namely,that designing catalysts with high catalytic activity and stability can directly affect the rate and effect of seawater *** the ion transfer perspective,designing membranes can block harmful ions,improving the stability of seawater *** the energy point of view,mixed seawater systems and self-powered systems also provide new and low-energy research systems for seawater ***,ideas and directions for further research on direct seawater splitting in the future are pointed out,with the aim of achieving low-cost and high-efficiency hydrogen production.
