Unlocking high-efficiency oxygen evolution reaction through Co-n coordination engineering in Co@n-doped porous carbon core–shell nanoparticles

Modulation of metal sites coordination can significantly refine the electronic architecture of catalysts,thereby improving their catalytic *** work successfully developed a core–shell Co@n-doped porous carbon(Co@nC)catalyst by pyrolyzing the COF/MOF(IISERP-COF3/ZIF-67)composite in an inert *** Co@nC catalyst exhibited impressive oxygen evolution reaction(OER)performance,with a small overpotential of 304 mV and a modest Tafel slope of 88.6 mV·dec^(−1) in a 1 M KOH,alongside remarkable stability,maintaining 98.5%of its activity over 13 *** role of IISERP-COF3 was pivotal in preventing Co atom aggregation during the ZIF-67 pyrolysis,which facilitated the creation of mesopores for enhanced mass transport and ***,it effectively modulated the Co-n coordination to fine-tune the electronic structure,thereby optimizing the catalyst's capacity for adsorption of intermediates and boosting its intrinsic *** functional theory(DFT)studies corroborate that the exceptional OER efficiency of Co@nC can be linked to the enhanced Co-n coordination,optimizing the localized electronic structure at the Co active *** study not only proposes an innovative approach for optimizing COF/MOF as effective electrocatalysts but also clears the path for the emergence of affordable,high-performance alternatives to precious metal-based catalysts,marking a significant advancement in sustainable energy technologies.

High energy consumption has seriously hindered the development of Fenton-like reactions for the removal of refractory organic pollutants in *** solve this problem,we designed a novel Fenton-like catalyst(Cu-PAn3)by coprecipitation and carbon thermal *** catalyst exhibits excellent Fenton-like catalytic activity and stability for the degradation of various pollutants with low H_(2)O_(2)*** experimental results indicate that the dual reaction centers(DRCs)are composed of Cu-n-C and Cu-O-C bridges between copper and graphene-like carbon,which form electron-poor/rich centers on the catalyst surface.H_(2)O_(2)is mainly reduced at electron-rich Cu centers to free radicals for pollutant ***,pollutants can be oxidized by donating electrons to the electron-poor C centers of the catalyst,which inhibits the ineffective decomposition of H_(2)O_(2)at the electron-poor *** therefore significantly reduces the consumption of H_(2)O_(2)and reduces energy consumption.

The co-catalysis between single atom catalyst(SAC)and its support has recently emerged as a promising strategy to synergistically boost the catalytic activity of some complex electrochemical reactions,encompassing multiple intermediates and ***,we utilized defective BC_(3)monolayer-supported SACs as a prototype to investigate the cooperative effects of SACs and their support on the catalytic performance of the nitrogen reduction reaction(nRR)for ammonia(nH_(3))*** results showed that these SACs can be firmly stabilized on these defective BC_(3)supports with high stability against ***,co-activation of the inert n_(2)reactant was observed in certain embedded SACs and their neighboring B atoms on certain BC3 sheets due to the noticeable charge transfer and significant n–n bond *** high-throughput screening revealed that the Mo/DV_(CC)and w/DV_(CC)exhibit superior nRR catalytic performance,characterized by a low limiting potential of−0.33 and−0.43 V,respectively,which can be further increased under acid conditions based on the constant potential ***,varying nRR catalytic activities can be attributed to the differences in the valence state of active ***,further microkinetic modeling analysis displayed that the turnover frequency of n_(2)–to–nH_(3)conversion on Mo/DV_(CC)is as large as 1.20×10^(−3)s^(−1)site^(−1) at 700 K and 100 bar,thus guaranteeing its ultra-fast reaction *** results not only suggest promising advanced electrocatalysts for nRR but also offer an effective avenue to regulate the electrocatalytic performance via the co-catalytic metal–support interactions.

The threshold voltage modulation of carbon nanotube thin-film transistors（TFTs） and flexible three-dimensional（3D） integration circuits has become hot research topics for carbon-based electronics. In this paper, a doping-free gate electrode technology is introduced to significantly modulate the threshold voltage of polymer-sorted semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotube（sc-Sw.nT） TFTs in combination with the highly effective gate-controlling ability of solid-state electrolyte thin films as the dielectrics. A systematic investigation was conducted on the impact of printed silver, evaporated silver, and evaporated aluminum（Al） gate electrodes on the threshold voltage of flexible printed bottom-gate and top-gate Sw.nT TFTs. The results indicate that the Sw.nT TFTs with Al gate electrodes exhibit enhancement-mode characteristics with excellent electrical properties, such as the negative threshold voltages（-0.6 V）, high Ion/Ioff（up to 10～6）, low subthreshold sw.ng(61.4 mV · dec-1), and small hysteresis. It is attributed to either the formation of lower work function thin films（Al2O3） at the electrode/dielectric layer interfaces through the natural oxidation of the Al bottom-gate electrodes or the dipole reaction of the Al top-gate electrodes from X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS） and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy（UPS） data. In addition, 3D complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor（CMOS） inverters with common gate electrodes were constructed using the resulting enhancement-mode P-type Sw.nT TFTs and matched n-type Sw.nT TFTs, which shows high voltage gain（34）, rail-to-rail output and high noise margins(80.04%, VDD=-1 V)as well good mechanical flexibility at low operation voltages. It demonstrates that Sw.nT TFTs have great advantages for building large-scale 3D flexible integrated circuits.

Background:To explore potential biomarkers for early diagnosis of atherosclerosis(AS)and provide basic data for further research on AS,the characteristics of serum metabolomics during the progression of AS in mini-pigs were observed ***:An AS model in Bama miniature pigs was established by a high-cholesterol and high-fat *** serum samples were collected monthly for metabolomics and serum lipid *** the end of the treatment period,pathological analysis of the abdominal aorta and coronary artery was performed to evaluate the lesions of AS,thereby distinguishing the susceptibility of mini-pigs to *** metabolomics was de-tected using a high-resolution untargeted metabolomic *** analysis was used to identify metabolites associated with AS ***:Based on pathological analysis,mini-pigs were divided into two groups:a susceptible group(n=3)and a non-susceptible group(n=6).A total of 1318 metabo-lites were identified,with significant shifting of metabolic profiles over time in both *** monitoring analysis highlighted 57 metabolites that exhibited an ob-vious trend of differential changes between two groups with the advance of *** KEGG(Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes)pathway enrichment analysis in-dicated significant disorders in cholesterol metabolism,primary bile acid metabolism,histidine metabolism,as well as taurine and hypotaurine ***:During the progression of AS in mini-pigs induced by high-cholesterol/high-fat diet,the alterations in serum metabolic profile exhibited a time-dependent pattern,accompanied by notable disturbances in lipid metabolism,cholesterol me-tabolism,and amino acid *** metabolites may become potential bio-markers for early diagnosis of AS.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the synergistic effects of polyphyllin Ⅰ(PPⅠ)combined with tumor necrosis factorrelated apoptosis-inducing ligand(TRAIL)on the growth of osteosarcoma cells through downregulating the wnt/β-catenin signaling ***:Cell viability,apoptosis and cell cycle distribution were examined using cell counting kit-8 and flow cytometry *** morphology of cancer cells was observed with inverted phase contrast *** migration and invasion abilities were examined by xCELLigence real time cell analysis DP system and transwell *** expressions of poly(adenosine diphosphate-ribose)polymerase,C-Myc,Cyclin B1,cyclin-dependent kinases 1,n-cadherin,Vimentin,Active-β-catenin,β-catenin,p-glycogen synthase kinase 3β(GSK-3β)and GSK-3βwere determined by western blotting ***:PPⅠ sensitized TRAIL-induced decrease of viability,migration and invasion,as well as increase of apoptosis and cell cycle arrest of MG-63 and U-2 OS osteosarcoma *** synergistic effect of PPⅠwith TRAIL in inhibiting the growth of osteosarcoma cells was at least partially realized through the inactivation of wnt/β-catenin signaling ***:The combination of PPⅠ and TRAIL is potentially a novel treatment strategy of osteosarcoma.

China is a hotspot of relict plant species that were once widespread throughout the northern *** research has demonstrated that the occurrence of long-term stable refugia in the mountainous regions of central and south-western China allowed their persistence through the late neogene climate *** of these relict lineages is Dipteronia,an oligotypic tree genus with a fossil record extending to the ***,we investigated the genetic variability,demographic dynamics and diversification patterns of the two currently recognized Dipteronia species(Dipteronia sinensis and ***).Molecular data were obtained from 45 populations of Dipteronia by genotyping three cpDnA regions,two single copy nuclear genes and 15 simple sequence repeat *** genetic study was combined with niche comparison analyses on the environmental space,ecological niche modeling,and landscape connectivity *** found that the two Dipteronia species have highly diverged both in genetic and ecological *** the incipient speciation processes that can be observed in ***,the occurrence of long-term stable refugia and,particularly,a dispersal corridor along Daba Shan-west Qinling,likely ensured its genetic and ecological integrity to *** study will not only help us to understand how populations of Dipteronia species responded to the tectonic and climatic changes of the Cenozoic,but also provide insight into how Arcto-Tertiary relict plants in East Asia survived,evolved,and diversified.
