Feralization is an important evolutionary process,but the mechanisms behind it remain poorly ***,we use the ancient fiber crop ramie(Boehmeria nivea(L.)Gaudich.)as a model to investigate genomic changes associated with both domestication and *** first produced a chromosome-scale de novo genome assembly of feral ramie and investigated structural variations between feral and domesticated ramie ***,we gathered 915 accessions from 23 countries,comprising cultivars,major landraces,feral populations,and the wild *** on whole-genome resequencing of these accessions,we constructed the most comprehensive ramie genomic variation map to ***,demographic,and admixture signal detection analyses indicated that feral ramie is of exoferal or exo-endo origin,i.e.,descended from hybridization between domesticated ramie and the wild progenitor or ancient *** ramie has higher genetic diversity than wild or domesticated ramie,and genomic regions affected by natural selection during feralization differ from those under selection during *** analyses showed that feral and domesticated ramie have similar ecological niches that differ substantially from the niche of the wild progenitor,and three environmental variables are associated with habitat-specific adaptation in feral *** findings advance our understanding of feralization,providing a scientific basis for the excavation of new crop germplasm resources and offering novel insights into the evolution of feralization in nature.

The distinctive intrinsic heat treatment(iHT)originating from cyclic reheating in the laser-directed energy deposition(LDED) has attracted growing attention in recent *** this investigation,simulations and experimental characterizations were performed to examine the impact of iHT on the micros true ture and mechanical properties of LDED-fabricated CrCoNi medium-entropy alloy(MEA).The results show that the intensity of the iHT is proportional to the utilized laser energy density(LED).As the LED increased,significant dynamic recrystallization and grain refinement occurred within the alloy due to the enhanced intensity of ***,the high LED leads to severe hot cracking within the as-built MEA,resulting in inferior *** decreasing LED,the hot cracking was effectively ***,low LED weakened the intensity of iHT and consequently inhibited kinetic conditions of dynamic recrystallization,resulting in a heterogeneous grain structure characterized by multi-scale-sized *** structure provides significant hetero-deformation-induced hardening during plastic deformation,enabling the alloy to have a sustainable work-hardening *** expect that this work will have implications in taking full advantage of the unique iHT of the LDED process to fabricate ME As with excellent metallurgical quality and mechanical performance.

The substantial arsenic(As)content present in arsenic-containing bio-leaching residue(ABR)presents noteworthy environ-mental challenges attributable to its inherent instability and susceptibility to *** its elevated calcium sulfate content,ABR exhibits considerable promise for industrial *** study delved into the feasibility of utilizing ABR as a source of sulfates for producing super sulfated cement(SSC),offering an innovative binder for cemented paste backfill(CPB).Thermal treatment at varying temperatures of 150,350,600,and 800℃ was employed to modify ABR’s *** investigation encompassed the examination of phase transformations and alterations in the chemical composition of As within ***,the hydration characteristics of SSC utilizing ABR,with or without thermal treatment,were studied,encompassing reaction kinetics,setting time,strength development,and *** findings revealed that thermal treatment changed the calcium sulfate structure in ABR,consequently impacting the resultant sample ***,calcination at 600℃ demonstrated optimal modification effects on both early and long-term strength *** enhanced performance can be attributed to the augmented formation of reaction products and a densified ***,the thermal treatment elicited modifications in the chemical As fractions within ABR,with limited impact on the As immobilization capacity of the prepared binders.

Organophosphorus pesticides (OPPs) in foods pose a serious threat to human health， motivating the development of novel analytical methods for their rapid detection and quantification. A magnetic covalent organic framework (M-COF) adsorbent for the magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) of OPPs from foods was reported. M-COF was synthesized by the Schiff base condensation reaction of 1，3，5-tris (4-aminophenyl)benzene and 4，4-biphenyldicarboxaldehyde on the surface of amino-functionalized magnetic nanoparticles. Density–functional theory (DFT) calculations showed that adsorption of OPPs onto the surface of M-COF involved hydrophobic effects， Van der waals interactions， π–π interactions， halogen-N bonding， and hydrogen bonding. Combined with gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) technology， the MSPE method features low limits of detection for OPPs (0.002–0.015 μg/L)， good reproducibility (1.45%–6.14%)， wide linear detection range (0.01–1 μg/L， R≥ 0.9935)， and satisfactory recoveries (87.3%–110.4%). The method was successfully applied for the trace analysis of OPPs in spiked fruit juices.

This paper proposes an automatic algorithm to determine the properties of stochastic processes and their parameters for inertial error. The proposed approach is based on a recently developed method called the generalized method of wavelet moments (GMwM), whose estimator was proven to be consistent and asymptotically normally distributed. This algorithm is suitable mainly (but not only) for the combination of several stochastic processes, where the model identification and parameter estimation are quite difficult for the traditional methods, such as the Allan variance and the power spectral density analysis. This algorithm further explores the complete stochastic error models and the candidate model ranking criterion to realize automatic model identification and determination. The best model is selected by making the trade-off between the model accuracy and the model complexity. The validation of this approach is verified by practical examples of model selection for MEMS-iMUs (micro-electro-mechanical system inertial measurement units) in varying dynamic conditions.

Flexoelectricity is present in nonuniformly deformed dielectric materials and has size-dependent properties, making it useful for microelectromechanical systems. Flexoelectricity is small compared to piezoelectricity;therefore, producing a large-scale flexoelectric effect is of great interest. in this paper, we explore a way to enhance the flexoelectric effect by utilizing the snap-through instability and a stiffness gradient present along the length of a curved dielectric plate. To analyze the effect of stiffness profiles on the plate, we employ numerical parameter continuation. Our analysis reveals a nonlinear relationship between the effective electromechanical coupling coefficient and the gradient of Young’s modulus. Moreover, we demonstrate that the quadratic profile is more advantageous than the linear profile. For a dielectric plate with a quadratic profile and a modulus gradient of − 0.9, the effective coefficient can reach as high as 15.74 pC/N, w.ich is over three times the conventional coupling coefficient of piezoelectric material. This paper contributes to our understanding of the amplification of flexoelectric effects by harnessing snapping surfaces and stiffness gradient design.
