High-density triple-phase contact points for enhanced photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction to methanol

The efficiency of photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction(PCRR)is restricted by the low solubility and mobility of CO_(2) in water,poor CO_(2) adsorption capacity of catalyst,and competition with hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Recently,hydrophobic modification of the catalyst surface has been proposed as a potential solution to induce the formation of triple-phase contact points(TPCPs)of CO_(2)(gas phase),H_(2) O(liquid phase),and catalysts(solid phase)near the surface of the catalyst,enabling direct delivery of highly concentrated CO_(2) molecules to the active reaction sites,resulting in higher CO_(2) and lower H+surface *** TPCPs thus act as the ideal reaction points with enhanced PCRR and suppressed ***,the initial synthesis of triple-phase photocatalysts tends to possess a lower bulk density of TPCPs due to the simple structure leading to limited active points and CO_(2) adsorption ***,based on constructing a hydrophobic hierarchical porous TiO_(2)(o-HPT)with interconnected macropores and mesopores structure,we have significantly increased the density of TPCPs in a unit volume of the *** with hydrophobic macroporous TiO_(2)(o-MacPT)or mesoporous TiO_(2)(o-MesPT),the o-HPT with increased TPCP density leads to enhanced photoactivity,enabling a high methanol production rate with 1111.5μmol g^(−1) h^(−1) from *** results emphasize the significance of high-density TPCPs design and propose a potential path for developing efficient PCRR systems.

Vanadium oxide cathode materials with stable crystal structure and fast Zn^(2+)storage capabilities are extremely important to achieving outstanding electrochemical performance in aqueous zinc‐ion *** this work,a one‐step hydrothermal method was used to manipulate the bimetallic ion intercalation into the interlayer of vanadium *** pre‐intercalated Cu ions act as pillars to pin the vanadium oxide(V‐O)layers,establishing stabilized two‐dimensional channels for fast Zn^(2+)*** occupation of Mn ions between V‐O interlayer further expands the layer spacing and increases the concentration of oxygen defects(Od),w.ich boosts the Zn^(2+)diffusion *** a result,as‐prepared Cu_(0.17)Mn_(0.03)V_(2)O_(5−□)·2.16H_(2)O cathode shows outstanding Zn‐storage capabilities under room‐and lowtemperature environments(e.g.,440.3 mAh g^(−1)at room temperature and 294.3 mAh g^(−1)at−60°C).importantly,it shows a long cycling life and high capacity retention of 93.4%over 2500 cycles at 2 A g^(−1)at−60°***,the reversible intercalation chemistry mechanisms during discharging/charging processes were revealed via operando X‐ray powder diffraction and ex situ Raman *** strategy of a couple of 3d transition metal doping provides a solution for the development of superior room‐/lowtemperature vanadium‐based cathode materials.

Flexible sensors have been widely studied for use in motion monitoring,human‒machine interactions(HMis),personalized medicine,and soft intelligent ***,their practical application is limited by their low output performance,narrow measuring range,and unidirectional force ***,to achieve flexibility and high performance simultaneously,we developed a flexible wide-range multidimensional force sensor(FwMFS)similar to bones embedded in muscle *** adjustable magnetic field endows the FwMFS with multidimensional perception for detecting forces in different *** multilayer stacked coils significantly improved the output from theμV to the mV level w.ile ensuring FwMFS *** optimized FwMFS exhibited a high voltage sensitivity of 0.227 mV/N(0.5–8.4 N)and 0.047 mV/N(8.4–60 N)in response to normal forces ranging from 0.5 N to 60 N and could detect lateral forces ranging from 0.2–1.1 N and voltage sensitivities of 1.039 mV/N(0.2–0.5 N)and 0.194 mV/N(0.5–1.1 N).in terms of normal force measurements,the FwMFS can monitor finger pressure and sliding trajectories in response to finger taps,as well as measure plantar pressure for assessing human *** plantar pressure signals of five human movements collected by the FwMFS were analyzed using the k-nearest neighbors classification algorithm,w.ich achieved a recognition accuracy of 92%.Additionally,an artificial intelligence biometric authentication system is being developed that classifies and recognizes user *** on the lateral force measurement ability of the FwMFS,the direction of ball movement can be distinguished,and communication systems such as Morse Code can be *** research has significant potential in intelligent sensing and personalized spatial recognition.

Monitoring the prevalence of antimicrobial resistance genes(ARGs)is vital for addressing the global crisis of antibiotic-resistant bacterial *** its importance,the characterization of ARGs and microbiome structures,as well as the identification of indicators for routine ARG monitoring in pig farms,are still lacking,particularly concerning variations in antimicrobial exposure in different countries or ***,metagenomics and random forest machine learning were used to elucidate the ARG profiles,microbiome structures,and ARG contamination indicators in pig manure under different antimicrobial pressures between China and *** showed that Chinese pigs exposed to high-level antimicrobials exhibited higher total and plasmid-mediated ARG abundances compared to those in European pigs(Pib,APH(3')-iiia,and tet(40)were identified as shared core ARGs between the two pig ***,the core ARGs identified in pig populations were correlated with those found in human populations within the same geographical *** and Prevotella were identified as the dominant genera in the core microbiomes of Chinese and European pigs,*** ARG markers and 43 biomarkers were able to differentiate between the Chinese and European pig manure samples with accuracies of 100%and 98.7%,*** for assessing ARG contamination in Chinese and European pigs also achieved high accuracy(r=0.72-0.88).Escherichia flexneri in both Chinese and European pig populations carried between 21 and 37 *** results of this study emphasize the importance of global collaboration in reducing antimicrobial resistance risk and provide validated indicators for evaluating the risk of ARG contamination in pig farms.
