The aim of this work is to investigate and optimize the effects of the leaching parameters on the selective leaching of zinc from electric arc furnace steelmaking dust （EAFD）. The response surface method was applied on the basis of a three-level box–behnken experimental design method for optimization of selective leaching parameters of zinc from EAFD. The leaching recoveries of zinc （YZn） and iron （YFe） were taken as the response variables, where the concentration of sulphuric acid （X1, mol/L）, leaching temperature （X2, °C）, leaching time （X3, min）, and liquid/solid ratio （X4, mL/g） were considered as the independent variables （factors）. The mathematical model was proposed. Statistical ANOVA analysis and confirmation tests were applied. A maximum of 79.09% of zinc was recovered while the minimum iron recovery was 4.08% under the optimum conditions of leaching time 56.42 min, H2SO4 concentration 2.35 mol/L, leaching temperature 25 °C and liquid/solid ratios. by using ANOVA, the most influential factors on leaching of zinc and iron were determined as H2SO4 concentration and leaching temperature, respectively. The proposed model equations using response surface methodology show good agreement with the experimental data, with correlation coefficients （R2） of 0.98 for zinc recovery and 0.97 for iron recovery.

In this study,interconnected porous Mg-2Zn-xY alloys with different phase compositions were prepared by various Y additions(x=0.4,3,and 6 wt.%)to adjust the compressive properties and energy absorption *** characterization methods were then applied to identify the microstructure of the porous Mg-Zn-Y and describe the details of the second *** tests were performed at room temperature(RT),200℃,and 300℃to study the impact of the Y addition and testing temperature on the compressive properties of the porous *** experimental results showed that a high Y content promotes a microstructure refinement and increases the volume fraction of the second *** the Y content increases,different Mg-Zn-Y ternary phases appear:I-phase(Mg_(3)Zn_(6)Y),w-phase(Mg_(3)Zn_(3)Y_(2)),and LPSO phase(Mg_(12)ZnY).when the Y content ranges between 0.4%and 6%,the compressive strength increases from 6.30MPa to 9.23 MPa,and the energy absorption capacity increases from 7.33 MJ/m^(3)to 10.97 MJ/m^(3)at RT,which is mainly attributed to the phase composition and volume fraction of the second ***,the average energy absorption efficiency is independent of the Y *** addition,the compressive deformation behaviors of the porous Mg-Zn-Y are altered by the testing *** compressive strength and energy absorption capacity of the porous Mg-Zn-Y decrease due to the softening effect of the high temperature on the *** deformation behaviors at different temperatures are finally observed to reflect the failure mechanisms of the struts.

Circularly polarized luminescence （CPL） materials have been extensively studied in recent years owing to their widespread applications in 3D display,optical storage,optical anti-counterfeiting,and biological imaging,***（I） clusters have emerged as a promising candidate for CPL materials,driven by their cost-effectiveness,superior luminescent properties,precise structure,and low ***,the poor environmental stability of copper（I） clusters renders their synthesis and preservation challenging,thereby significantly impeding their ***,we have designed and synthesised a chiral double-coordinated ligand in order to construct copper（I） cluster nodes that can be further *** anticipated,by utilizing stepwise assembly strategy,a Cu4cluster node co-modified by chiral alkynyl ligands and triphenylphosphine was further assembled with Cd2+ions to obtain 2D layers structure,L/*** L/D-Cu4-Cd exhibits excellent stability and optical properties,including bright yellow emission,solvent-responsive luminescence,and CPL activity with a maximum glumup to 2.0×10-3,which shows potential applications in the wLED and *** interestingly,the material also exhibits deflection ability towards different wavelengths of linearly polarized light,showing certain potential in the preparation of circular polarizer.

A precise tangential contact damping model is proposed,which includes the lateral contact of the upper-lower asperities and the interaction of adjacent *** effects of the normal static preload,frequency,and amplitude of tangential displacement on the tangential contact damping were analyzed by simulation,***,the results of simulation are verified by *** tangential contact damping of considering the interaction and lateral contact of asperity is very close to the experimental results.

In this work,we investigate a static and spherically symmetric bardeen-Kiselev black hole(bH)with the cosmological constant,which is a solution of the Einstein-non-linear Maxwell field *** compute the quasinormal frequencies for the bardeen-Kiselev bH with the cosmological constant due to electromagnetic and gravitational *** varying the bH parameters,we discuss the behavior of both real and imaginary parts of the bH quasinormal frequencies and compare these frequencies with the Reissner-Nordström-de Sitter bH surrounded by quintessence(RN-dSQ).Interestingly,it is shown that the responses of the bardeen-Kiselev bH with the cosmological constant and the RN-dSQ under electromagnetic perturbations are different when the charge parameter q,the state parameter w and the normalization factor c are varied;however,for the gravitational perturbations,the responses of the bardeen-Kiselev bH with the cosmological constant and the RN-dSQ are different only when the charge parameter q is ***,compared with the gravitational perturbations,the electromagnetic perturbations can be used to understand nonlinear and linear electromagnetic fields in curved spacetime *** interesting observation is that,due to the presence of Kiselev quintessence,the electromagnetic perturbations around the bardeen-Kiselev bH with the cosmological constant damps faster and oscillates slowly;for the gravitational perturbations,the quasinormal mode decays slowly and oscillates *** also study the reflection and transmission coefficients along with the absorption cross section in the bardeen-Kiselev bH with the cosmological constant;it is shown that the transmission coefficients will increase due to the presence of Kiselev quintessence.

A Genetic Algorithm Approach for Location-Specific Calibration of Rainfed Maize Cropping in the Context of Smallholder Farming in west Africa

Smallholder farming in west Africa faces various challenges, such as limited access to seeds, fertilizers, modern mechanization, and agricultural climate services. Crop productivity obtained under these conditions varies significantly from one farmer to another, making it challenging to accurately estimate crop production through crop models. This limitation has implications for the reliability of using crop models as agricultural decision-making support tools. To support decision making in agriculture, an approach combining a genetic algorithm (GA) with the crop model AquaCrop is proposed for a location-specific calibration of maize cropping. In this approach, AquaCrop is used to simulate maize crop yield while the GA is used to derive optimal parameters set at grid cell resolution from various combinations of cultivar parameters and crop management in the process of crop and management options calibration. Statistics on pairwise simulated and observed yields indicate that the coefficient of determination varies from 0.20 to 0.65, with a yield deviation ranging from 8% to 36% across burkina Faso (bF). An analysis of the optimal parameter sets shows that regardless of the climatic zone, a base temperature of 10˚C and an upper temperature of 32˚C is observed in at least 50% of grid cells. The growing season length and the harvest index vary significantly across bF, with the highest values found in the Soudanian zone and the lowest values in the Sahelian zone. Regarding management strategies, the fertility mean rate is approximately 35%, 39%, and 49% for the Sahelian, Soudano-sahelian, and Soudanian zones, respectively. The mean weed cover is around 36%, with the Sahelian and Soudano-sahelian zones showing the highest variability. The proposed approach can be an alternative to the conventional one-size-fits-all approach commonly used for regional crop modeling. To modify the shape difference between the spherical vacancy and the realistic vacancy, a shape factor is introduced into brooks' vacancy model. It is shown that the modified model is more efficient in predicting the vacancy volume of metals than the original one, and the calculated vacancy volumes of 17 metals by the modified model agree with the values reported in literatures. Furthermore, the present results show that the vacancy shape may contribute 2%-9% to the whole vacancy volume.

The phase evolution in （88%-91%）Mg-8%Sn-l%Zn-X （X=A1, Mn and/or Ce） system was analyzed via CALPHAD method and simulations were used in precise selection of the chemical composition. The influence of the addition of different alloying elements such as A1, Mn and Ce on the microstructure and microhardness of Mg-8%Sn-l%Zn-based alloys was investigated. Combined addition of A1 and Mn shows features distinct from separate addition of A1 or Mn. Additions of l%AI and l%Mn to base alloy result in the formation of massive A1-Mn phase in a-Mg matrix grains. Addition of Ce element can refme the second eutectic precipitates and form intermetallic compounds with Sn. Fine rod-like Sn-Ce phase presents mainly on the grain boundaries and plays a role in inhibiting grain growth. The effects of alloying elements on Vickers microhardness and indentation size effect of base alloy were examined.

A polymer-based nanocarrier was developed for the co-delivery of epigenetic and chemotherapeutic drugs. The sterically stabilized hybrid micelle system uses micelles composed of D-a-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol 1000 succinate （vitamin E TPGS or TPGS） and 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine- N-[methoxy（polyethylene glycol）-2000] （DSPE-PEG2000）. In this study, suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid （SAHA） and paclitaxel were used as model drugs for combination chemotherapy to enhance therapeutic efficiency in targeting mesenchyme-like triple negative breast cancer （TNbC） cells. Combination therapy of paclitaxel and SAHA in a dual drug micelle system, （P ＋ S）mic, exhibited an IC50 value of 0.52 μg/mL, which is about 5.91-fold more cytotoxic than the mere combination of free drugs （P ＋ S）. Furthermore, the （P ＋ S）mic formulation was far more effective at inhibiting cell migration by more than 3.4-fold than the control. Thus, our findings show that the co-delivery of these drugs using the micelle system greatly enhances their therapeutic effect at a lower dosage, thereby minimizing toxicity. In addition, this formulation is proved to be remarkably effective in preventing cell migration at low dosage.
