The superplastic behavior and associated deformation mechanisms of a fine-grained Mg-10.1 Li-0.8Al-0.6Zn alloy(LAZ1011)w.th a grain size of 3.2μm,primarily composed of the BCCβphase and a small amount of the hCPαphase,w.re examined in a temperature range of 473 K to 623 *** microstructural refinement of this alloy w.s achieved by employing high-ratio differential speed *** best superplasticity w.s achieved at 523 K and at strain rates of 10^(-4)-5×10^(-4)s^(-1),w.ere tensile elongations of 550±600%w.re *** the heating and holding stage of the tensile samples prior to tensile loading,a significant increase in grain size w.s observed at temperatures above 573 ***,it w.s important to consider this effect w.en analyzing and understanding the superplastic deformation behavior and *** the investigated strain rate range,the superplastic flow.at low.strain rates w.s governed by lattice diffusion-controlled grain boundary sliding,w.ile at high strain rates,lattice diffusion-controlled dislocation climb creep w.s the rate-controlling deformation *** w.s concluded that solute drag creep is unlikely to *** the late stages of deformation at 523 K,it w.s observed that grain boundary sliding led to the agglomeration of theαphase,resulting in significant strain *** mechanism maps w.re constructed forβ-Mg-Li alloys in the form of 2D and 3D formats as a function of strain rate,stress,temperature,and grain size,using the constitutive equations for various deformation mechanisms derived based on the data of the current tests.

Obtaining high precision is an important consideration for astrometric studies using images from the Narrow.Angle Camera(NAC)of the Cassini Imaging Science Subsystem(ISS).Selecting the best centering algorithm is key to enhancing astrometric *** this study,w. compared the accuracy of five centering algorithms:Gaussian fitting,the modified moments method,and three point-spread function(PSF)fitting methods(effective PSF(ePSF),PSFEx,and extended PSF(x PSF)from the Cassini Imaging Central Laboratory for Operations(CICLOPS)).w. assessed these algorithms using 70 ISS NAC star field images taken w.th CL1 and CL2 filters across different stellar *** ePSF method consistently demonstrated the highest accuracy,achieving precision below.0.03 pixels for stars of magnitude *** to the previously considered best,the modified moments method,the e PSF method improved overall accuracy by about 10%and 21%in the sample and line directions,***,the xPSF model provided by CICLOPS had low.r precision than the ***,the ePSF exhibits an improvement in measurement precision of 23%and 17%in the sample and line directions,respectively,over the *** discrepancy might be attributed to the xPSF focusing on photometry rather than *** findings highlight the necessity of constructing PSF models specifically tailored for astrometric purposes in NAC images and provide guidance for enhancing astrometric measurements using these ISS NAC images.

Recently,most w.ve energy research has targeted sea areas w.th high pow.r density under extreme w.ve conditions for *** trend often leads to higher energy costs for w.ve pow.r ***,many marine areas w.th low.pow.r density,characterized by w.velet conditions and less destructive forces than extreme w.ve conditions,remain ***,this study aimed to propose a w.ve-activated body model for sea regions w.th w.velet *** w.ve-activated body design process encompassed site selection,parameter determination,geometry design,comparison and performance evaluation using the ANSYS®AQw. *** results indicated that the proposed device achieved the desired heave motion,w.th an amplitude range of 1.2 to-2.5 m,validating its potential for deployment in marine regions w.th w.velet ***,w.ile the proposed design is optimized for w.velet conditions,it w.s found to have potential limitations in extreme w.ve *** observation emphasizes the challenge of formulating a generalized design suitable for both ***,it is pivotal for w.ve-activated body designs to be customized based on the specific ocean conditions they target,underscoring the need for specialized designs of w.ve energy converters that consider the unique w.ve characteristics of their deployment sites.

Slurry casting has been used to fabricate lithium-ion battery electrodes for decades,w.ich involves toxic and expensive organic solvents follow.d by high-cost vacuum drying and electrode *** w.rk presents a new.manufacturing method using a nonthermal plasma to create inter-particle binding w.thout using any polymeric binding materials,enabling solvent-free manufacturing electrodes w.th any electrochemistry of *** cold-plasma-coating technique enables fabricating electrodes w.th thickness(>200 pm),high mass loading(>30 mg cm^(-2)),high peel strength,and the ability to print lithium-ion batteries in an arbitrary *** crosscutting,chemistry agnostic,platform technology w.uld increase energy density,eliminate the use of solvents,vacuum drying,and calendering processes during production,and reduce manufacturing cost for current and future cell ***,lithium iron phosphate and lithium cobalt oxide w.re used as examples to demonstrate the efficacy of the cold-plasma-coating *** is found that the mechanical peel strength of cold-plasma-coating-manufactured lithium iron phosphate is over an order of magnitude higher than that of slurry-casted lithium iron phosphate *** cells assembled w.th a graphite anode and the cold-plasma-coating-lithium iron phosphate cathode offer highly reversible cycling performance w.th a capacity retention of 81.6%over 500 *** the highly conductive cathode material lithium cobalt oxide,an areal capacity of 4.2 mAh cm^(-2)at 0.2 C is *** anticipate that this new.highly scalable manufacturing technique w.ll redefine global lithium-ion battery manufacturing providing significantly reduced plant footprints and material costs.
