boom Clay is one of th. potential h.st rocks for deep geological disposal of h.gh.level radioactive nuclear w.ste in Belgium. In order to investigate th. mech.nism of h.draulic conductivity variation under complex th.rmo-mech.nical coupling conditions and to better understand th. th.rmo-h.dromech.nical(Th.) coupling beh.viour of boom Clay, a series of permeability tests using temperaturecontrolled triaxial cell h.s been carried out on th. boom Clay samples taken from Belgian underground research.laboratory(URL) h.DES. Due to its sedimentary nature, boom Clay presents acrossanisotropy w.th.respect to its sub-h.rizontal bedding plane. Direct measurements of th. vertical(Kv)and h.rizontal(Kh.h.draulic conductivities sh.w.th.t th. h.draulic conductivity at 80℃ is about 2.4 times larger th.n th.t at room temperature(23℃), and th. h.draulic conductivity variation w.th.temperature is basically reversible during h.atingecooling cycle. Th. anisotropic property of boom Clay is studied by scanning electron microscope(SEM) tests, w.ich.h.gh.igh. th. transversely isotropic ch.racteristics of intact boom Clay. It is sh.w. th.t th. sub-h.rizontal bedding feature accounts for th. h.rizontal permeability h.gh.r th.n th. vertical one. Th. measured increment in h.draulic conductivity w.th.temperature is low.r th.n th. calculated one w.en merely considering th. ch.nges in w.ter kinematic viscosity and density w.th.temperature. Th. nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) tests h.ve also been carried out to investigate th. impact of microstructure variation on th. Th. properties of clay. Th. results sh.w.th.t h.ating under unconstrained boundary condition w.ll produce larger size of pores and w.aken th. microstructure. Esoph.geal atresia is a disorder of th. esoph.geal continuity w.th.or w.th.ut a connection w.th.th. trach.a or th. under-development esoph.gus. Most babies w.o suffer from esoph.geal atresia also h.ve trach.oesoph.geal fistula (an abnormal connection betw.en th. esoph.gus and th. trach.a/w.ndpipe). Th. possibility of th.se tw. conditions is accompanied by oth.r anomalies such.as congenital h.art disease and anorectal malformations. Esoph.geal atresia can also be interpreted as malformations caused by th. failure of th. esoph.gus to develop a continual passage th.t may or may not establish.a connection to th. trach.a (trach.oesoph.geal fistula) or it can be said th.t th. esoph.geal atresia is th. failure of th. esoph.gus to form a ch.nnel from th. ph.rynx to th. stomach.during embryonic development. Anoth.r understanding of esoph.geal atresia is an interruption in th. grow.h.of a segment of th. esoph.gus and remains as th.n sections w.th.ut continual ch.nnels. Trach.al esoph.geal fistula is an abnormal connection betw.en th. trach.a and esoph.gus. Miscellaneous types of esoph.geal atresia include: Type A. Th. incidence of Type A esoph.geal atresia w.s about 5% - 8%. Type A esoph.geal atresia occurs at each.end of th. esoph.geal sac, and is apart w.th.ut fistula to th. trach.a. Type B incident is rare. Type B esoph.geal atresia occurs at each.end of th. esoph.gus, and th.re is fistula from th. trach.a to th. upper segment of esoph.gus. Incidence of Type C esoph.geal atresia occurs about 80% - 95%. Type C esoph.geal atresia occurs at th. proximal esoph.geal segment and ends at a dead-end sac, and distal segments are connected to th. trach.a or primary bronch.s. Type D esoph.geal atresia is rare. In th.s type, upper and low.r segment of th. esoph.gus is connected to th. trach.a. Type E esoph.geal atresia is rare w.en compared w.th.Types A and C esoph.geal atresia. In th.s type th. esoph.gus and trach.a are normal but th.y are connected w.th.fistula.

Ore-coke mixed ch.rging is a potential tech.ique for optimizing th. ch.rging pattern. Recently, th. ch.rging of small-sized coke（ nut coke） w.th.th. ferrous burden layer h.s been applied to reduce raw.material usage and decrease costs. Various studies indicate th.t mixing nut coke w.th.ferrous burden can enh.nce th. reduction kinetics,improve th. softening and melting properties, and h.ve a positive effect on th. permeability. Alth.ugh.mixed ch.rging, especially th. addition of nut coke to th. burden layer, h.s been used in th. industry for various reasons ,th. mech.nisms and side effects for using nut coke are not w.ll understood, and th. mixing ratio remains limited in actual blast furnace operation. h.gh.temperature experimental studies w.re conducted to increase th. understanding of th. complex process of reduction, softening and melting properties, and permeability in a blast furnace w.en mixing nut coke w.th.an ore layer. Th. effect of th. nut coke mixing ratio and nut coke size w.s investigated under various reducing conditions. To describe th. reduction processes of burden materials, numerous experiments w.re interrupted at different stages of th. reduction, and th. collected materials w.re examined by using image analysis. Th. reduction degree of mixed ch.rging（iron ore mixing w.th.nut coke） w.s improved w.en using nut coke at th. temperatures of 800 ℃ and above. Th. reaction rate of ore-nut coke mixed ch.rging w.s h.gh.r th.n th.t of standard ch.rging w.th.ut th. use of nut coke.

AIM:To evaluate th. safety and feasibility of endoscopic resection using band ligation(EMR-B) for th. diagnostic and th.rapeutic removal of tumors located in th. esoph.geal subepith.lial region h.ving originated from th. ***:From May 2009 to September 2014,after medical ch.rt and endoscopic ultrasonograph. report review.a total of 15 esoph.geal tumors located in th. submucosal layer w.re resected by *** symptom,location,path.logy,complete resection rate,incidence of complications,incidence of minor complication,size,length.of procedures time and follow.up month. w.re *** evaluate local recurrence at th. resection site,periodic follow.up endoscopic examination w.s undertaken in all of th. *** first endoscopic examination w.s performed about 6 mo after th. endoscopic ***,th. endoscopic follow.up w.re sch.duled ***:Th. mean age w.s 50.3 ± 9.67 *** mean tumor size w.s 6.93 ± 3.15 mm and most of th. lesions size w.s betw.en 5-10 mm in diameter(10/15,66.6%).In all patients,endoscopic en bloc resection w.s *** one patient,th. vertical margin w.s *** mean procedural time w.s 8.86 ± 3.66 *** all patients,no evidence of severe complications such.as perforation or bleeding *** complications such.as ch.st pain(2/15,13.3%) and h.artburn(3/15,13.3%) w.re reported but th.y symptoms w.re controlled by proton pump inh.bitors,ulcermin and/or *** assessments of th. removed specimens revealed 10 granular cell tumors(66.6%),4 leiomyomas(16.6%) and one lipoma(6.6%).No recurrence w.s observed during th. mean follow.up period of 45 ± 3.5 mo(range:5-64 mo).CONCLUSION:EMR-B migh. be considered safe and effective for th. diagnosis and treatment of lesions measuring less th.n 10 mm in diameter.

AIM: To evaluate th. efficacy of cap-assisted colonoscopy(CAC) for detection of colorectal polyps and adenomas according to th. lesion location and endoscopist training ***: Patients 20 years or older, w.o underw.nt th.ir first screening colonoscopy in a single tertiary center from May 2011 to December 2012 w.re enrolled in th.s study. All patients underw.nt eith.r CAC or standard colonoscopy(SC), and all of th. procedures w.re performed by 11 endoscopists(8 trainees and 3 experts). All procedures w.re performed w.th.h.gh.efinition colonoscopes and narrow.band imaging. Th. eigh. trainees h.d experiences of performing 150 to 500 colonoscopies, and th. th.ee experts h.d experiences of performing more th.n 3000 colonoscopies. A 4-mmlong transparent cap w.s attach.d to th. end of a colonoscope in th. CAC group. w. retrospectively evaluated th. number of polyps and adenomas, polyp detection rate(PDR), and th. number of adenomas and adenoma detection rate(ADR) according to th. lesion location and endoscopist training level betw.en CAC and SC. w. also evaluated th. number of polyps and adenomas according to th.ir size betw.en CAC and ***: Overall, PDR and ADR using CAC w.re significantly h.gh.r th.n th.se using SC for both.w.ole colon(48.5% vs 40.7%, P = 0.012; 35.7% vs 28.3%, P = 0.012) and righ.-side colon(35.3% vs 26.6%, P = 0.002; 27.0% vs 16.9%, P h. number of polyps and adenomas per patient using CAC w.s significantly h.gh.r th.n th.t using SC for both.th. w.ole colon(1.07 ± 1.59 vs 0.82 ± 1.31, P = 0.008; 0.72 ± 1.32 vs 0.50 ± 1.01, P = 0.003) and righ.-side colon(0.66 ± 1.18 vs 0.41 ± 0.83, P h. trainee group, th.
