Incense smoke(IS)is source of indoor air pollution and key risk for diverse human *** in-formation is available regarding controlled IS rodent inhalation exposure system and IS particulate matter(PM)deposition in human *** aimed to demonstrate stable IspM physicochemical parameters of 10 incense products inside the customized whole body inhalation exposure chamber(without animal)connected to smoke generation unit via aerosol mixing *** analyzed for size segregated PM emission,IspM in vitro aerodynamics(MMAD and GSD determination),fine and ultrafine particle's SEM,SEM-EDX and PAH *** real life exposure scenario by utilizing MMAD,GSD and PM concentration after Tier 1 exposure assessment as key input parameters,IspM dosimetry in infant(3 months)and adult(21 years male and female)human airways was calculated using multiple-path particle dosimetry(MPPD 3.04)*** median aerodynamic diameter(MMAD)and geo-metric standard deviation(GSD)ranged between 0.55 and 2.10μm and 1.22 to 1.77(polydisperse)***1.0 and PM0.1 showed multiple morphology and presence of heavy and trace *** like acenaphthylene,anthracene,fluorene,naphthalene and phenanthrene were detected(0.84-143.17μg/g).MPPD results showed higher IspM deposition in pulmonary region and lowest in trachea bronchial *** deposition in tissue was higher in lower,peripheral lung as compared to upper and central lung *** body inhalation exposure system showed stable IS atmosphere(physi-cochemical parameters)indicating the device suitability in future inhalation *** IspM deposition fraction and clearance data showed deep lung penetrating and retention behavior with higher risk in infant followed by female and then *** modeled particle deposition and clearance data may be useful in risk assessment analysis of IS.

Optimization of variables and assessment of in-vitro and in-vivo antihyperlipidemic activity of Eudragit RS nanoparticles containing simvastatin

Simvastatin, a BCS class II drug, is associated with poor aqueous solubility, first-pass metabolism and short half-life. In the present work, nanoparticles were prepared and evaluated. Optimization of formulation and process parameters was done through the use of independent and dependent variables. Preliminary studies were done to determine suitable range of the concentration of Eudragit polymer (10%–30%) and the ratio of drug to polymer (1:1 to 1:5) for the formation of nanoparticles by emulsification and a solvent evaporation technique. Results revealed that the mean size of nanoparticles was affected by stirring speed from 5000 RPM, 8000 RPM, and 12000 RPM. The results of increase in association efficiency and percent yield with increase in amount of drug from 100 mg, 150 mg, and 200 mg in selected range were observed. In-vitro release studies showed that two formulations possess highest initial burst and slow sustained drug release. There was 2.93-fold decrease in total cholesterol and 3.27-fold increases in triglyceride level during in-vivo study.

Multidimensional evaluation of salt tolerance in groundnut genotypes through biochemical responses

The manuscript explores the complex interplay between groundnut genotypes,salt tolerance and hormonal influence,shedding light on the dynamic responses of three specific groundnut genotypes,KDG-128,TG-37 A and GG-20,to salt treatments and gibberellic acid(GA3).The study encompasses germination,plant growth,total protein content and oil content as key *** comprehensive analysis,it identifies TG-37 A and KDG-128 as salt-tolerant genotypes,and GG-20 as salt-susceptible genotypes,which highlighting the potential for targeted breeding efforts to develop more resilient groundnut ***,the quantification of protein and oil content under different treatments provides vital data for optimizing nutritional profiles in groundnut *** Component Analysis(PCA) underscores the significance of the first principal component(PC1)in explaining the majority of variance,capturing primary trends and differences in plant *** of Variance(ANOVA) and hierarchical analysis confirm the presence of statistically significant differences in protein and oil content among the ***'s correlation coefficient matrix analysis reveals strong positive correlations between plant length and protein content,plant length and oil content,and a moderately positive correlation between protein content and oil *** findings provide valuable insights into groundnut physiology,salt tolerance,and nutritional composition,with implications for future research in sustainable agriculture and crop improvement.

BACKGROUND The utility of D-dimer(DD)as a biomarker for acute aortic dissection(AD)is ***,its predictive value for in-hospital mortality remains uncertain and subject to conflicting *** To conduct a meta-analysis of AD-related in-hospital mortality(ADIM)with elevated DD *** We searched PubMed,Scopus,Embase,and Google Scholar for AD and ADIM literature through May *** was assessed using I2 statistics and effect size(hazard or odds ratio)analysis with random-effects *** size,study type,and patients’mean age were used for subgroup *** significance threshold was Pspite comparable demographic characteristics and comorbidities,elevated DD values were associated with higher ADIM risk(unadjusted effect size:1.94,95%CI:1.34-2.8;adjusted effect size:1.12,95%CI:1.05-1.19,P60 *** and larger sample size studies(n>250)demonstrated a heightened likelihood of ADIM associated with elevated DD levels(effect size:2.57,95%CI:1.30-5.08,Pspectively).CONCLUSION Our meta-analysis shows elevated DD increases in-hospital mortality risk in AD patients,highlighting the need for larger,prospective studies to improve risk prediction models.

CARBON NITRIDE FILMS PREPARED AT DIFFERENT N_2/Ar RATIOS BY CLOSED FIELD UNBALANCED REACTIVE MAGNETRON spUTTERING

Carbon nitride (CNx) thin films have been deposited onto Si(100) (for structural and mechanical analyses) and M42 high-speed-steel (for tribological measurement s) substrates at room temperature by closed-field unbalanced magnetron sputterin g. The mechanical and tribological properties of these films were highly depende nt on the N/C concentration ratio that was adjusted by the F(N2)/F(Ar) flow-rate ratio at fixed substrate biasing of -60V during deposition. The films were char acterized by employing scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microsco py (AFM), nano-indentation measurements, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Raman scattering and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, pin-on-dis c tribometer, scratch tester, and Rockwell-C tester. The results showed that the N content in the films increased with the N2 pressure. However, the maximum N/C ratio obtained was 0.25. The nanohardness was measured to be in the range of 11 .7-20.8GPa depending on the N/C ratios. The XPS N 1s spectra showed the existenc e of both N-C sp2 and N-C sp3 bonds in films. Raman and FTIR spectra exhibited t hat N-C bonds were fewer when compared to other N-C bonds. The friction coeffici ent of the film deposited onto steel substrate with N/C=0.26 was measured to be ~0.08 and for film with N/C=0.22 a high critical load of 70N was obtained. The t ribological data also showed that the wear rates of these films were in the rang e of ~10-16m3/Nm, indicating excellent wear resistance for CNx films.

The current financial turmoil in the United States has been attributed to multiple reasons including healthcare *** care spending has increased from 5.7 percent of the gross domestic product(GDP) in 1965 to 16 percent of the GDP in *** is driven with a goal to provide best possible care available at that period of *** are generally assumed to have the high level of certainty and security as conclusions generated by the conventional scientific method leading many clinicians to use guidelines as the final arbiters of *** provide the standard of care,physicians follow guidelines,proposed by either groups of physicians or various medical societies or government organizations like National Comprehensive Cancer *** has lead to multiple tests for the patient and has not survived the test of *** independence leads to lacunae in the standardization of guidelines,hence flooding of literature with multiple guidelines and confusion to patients and physicians and eventually overtreatment,inefficiency,and patient *** is an urgent need to restrict articles with Guidelines and develop some strategy like have an intermediate stage of pre-guidelines and after 5-10 years of trials,a systematic launch of the *** can be better ways than this for putting together guidelines as has been suggested by multiple authors and researchers.

Fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT) has garnered significant attention in recent years in the face of a reemerging Clostridium difficile(***) *** results from the first randomized control trial evaluating FMT have encouraged the medical community to explore the process further and expand its application beyond *** infections and even the gastrointestinal *** promising and numerous the prospects of FMT appear,the method remains limited in scope today due to several important barriers,most notably a poorly defined federal regulatory *** Food and Drug Administrationhas found it difficult to standardize and regulate the administration of inherently variable,metabolically active,and ubiquitously available fecal *** current cumbersome policy,which classifies human feces as a drug,has prevented physicians from providing FMT and deserving patients from accessing FMT in a timely fashion,and subsequent modifications seem only to be *** argument for reclassifying fecal material as human tissue is well ***,this would allow for a regulatory framework that is sufficiently flexible to expand access to care and facilitate research,but also appropriately restrictive and centralized to ensure patient *** an approach can facilitate the advancement of FMT to a more refined,controlled,and aesthetic process,perhaps in the form of a customized and wellcharacterized stool substitute therapy.
