Cluster Analysis of the Roma-BZCAT Blazars

Based on the collected multiwavelength data, namely in the radio(NvSS, FIRST, RATAN-600), IR(WISE),optical(Pan-STARRS), Uv(GALEX), and X-ray(ROSAT, Swift-XRT) ranges, we have performed a cluster analysis for the blazars of the Roma-BZCAT catalog. Using two machine learning methods, namely a combination of PCA with k-means clustering and Kohonen's self-organizing maps(SOMs), we have constructed an independent classification of the blazars(five classes) and compared the classes with the known Roma-BZCAT classification(FSRQs, BL Lacs, galaxy-dominated BL Lacs, and blazars of an uncertain type) as well as with the high synchrotron peaked(HSP) blazars from the 3HSP catalog and blazars from the TevCat catalog. The obtained groups demonstrate concordance with the BL Lac/FSRQ classification along with a continuous character of the change in the properties. The group of HSP blazars stands out against the overall distribution. We examine the characteristics of the five groups and demonstrate distinctions in their spectral energy distribution shapes. The effectiveness of the clustering technique for objective analysis of multiparametric arrays of experimental data is demonstrated.

Optimizing signal collection efficiency of the vIPA-based Brillouin spectrometer

Study of Completed Archaeal Genomes and Proteomes:Hypothesis of Strong Mutational AT Pressure Existed in Their Common Predecessor

The number of completely sequenced archaeal genomes has been sufficient for a large-scale bioinformatic study. We have conducted analyses for each coding region from 36 archaeal genomes using the original CGS algorithm by calculating the total GC content （G＋C）, GC content in first, second and third codon positions as well as in fourfold and twofold degenerated sites from third codon positions, levels of arginine codon usage （Arg2： AGA/G; Arg4： CGX）, levels of amino acid usage and the entropy of amino acid content distribution. In archaeal genomes with strong GC pressure, arginine is coded preferably by GC-rich Arg4 codons, whereas in most of archaeal genomes with G＋C〈0.6, arginine is coded preferably by AT-rich Arg2 codons. In the genome of Haloquadratum walsbyi, which is closely related to GC-rich archaea, GC content has decreased mostly in third codon positions, while Arg4〉〉Arg2 bias still persists. Proteomes of archaeal species carry characteristic amino acid biases： levels of isoleucine and lysine are elevated, while levels of alanine, histidine, glutamine and cytosine are relatively decreased. Numerous genomic and proteomic biases observed can be explained by the hypothesis of previously existed strong mutational AT pressure in the common predecessor of all archaea.

An Approach for Searching Insertions in Bacterial Genes Leading to the Phase Shift of Triplet Periodicity

The concept of the phase shift of triplet periodicity （TP） was used for searching potential DNA insertions in genes from 17 bacterial genomes. A mathematical algorithm for detection of these insertions has been developed. This approach can detect potential insertions and deletions with lengths that are not multiples of three bases, especially insertions of relatively large DNA fragments （〉 100 bases）. New similarity measure between triplet matrixes was employed to improve the sensitivity for detecting the TP phase shift. Sequences of 17,220 bacterial genes with each consisting of more than 1,200 bases were analyzed, and the presence of a TP phase shift has been shown in -16% of analysed genes （2,809 genes）, which is about 4 times more than that detected in our previous work. We propose that shifts of the TP phase may indicate the shifts of reading frame in genes after insertions of the DNA fragments with lengths that are not multiples of three bases. A relationship between the phase shifts of TP and the frame shifts in genes is discussed.

Therefore,they are promising solutions to autonomously supply a broad range of Flexible blade generators Magnetoelectric highly sophisticated devices. This paper provides generators a thorough review focused on major recent breakLinear generators Multidimensional generators throughs in the area of electromagnetic-triboelectric vibrational energy harvesting. A detailed Pendulum generators analysis was conducted on various architectures including rotational,pendulum,linear,sliding,cantilever,flexible blade,multidimensional and 1 cm magnetoelectric,and the following hybrid technologies. They enable highly e cient ways to harvest electric energy from many forms of vibrational,rotational,biomechanical,wave,wind and thermal sources,among others. Open-circuit voltages up to 75 v,short-circuit currents up to 60 mA and instantaneous power up to 144 mW were already achieved by these nanogenerators. Their transduction mechanisms,including proposed models to make intelligible the involved physical phenomena,are also overviewed here. A comprehensive analysis was performed to compare their respective construction designs,external excitations and electric outputs. The results highlight the potential of hybrid E-TENGs to convert unused mechanical motion into electric energy for both large-and small-scale ***,this paper proposes future research directions toward optimization of energy conversion e ciency,power management,durability and stability,packaging,energy storage,operation input,research of transduction mechanisms,quantitative standardization,system integration,miniaturization and multi-energy hybrid cells.
