BACKGROUND In this case report we describe an extremely rare case of cerebral air embolism following transbronchial lung biopsy(TBLB).Only a few cases of this rare complication were described *** bronchologist should recognize this severe adverse *** recognition of this complication is mandatory in order to initiate supportive measures and consider hyperbaric oxygen *** SUMMARY In this case report we describe an extremely rare case of cerebral air embolism following *** a few cases of this rare complication were described *** patient had an incidental finding of lung tumour and pulmonary *** air embolism developed during bronchoscopy procedure,immediately after the third trans-bronchial lung biopsy sample and caused cerebral ischaemia of the right hemisphere and severe left-sided *** timely initiation of hyperbaric oxygen therapy hemiplegia didn´t resolve and the patient died several weeks *** air embolism is an extremely rare complication of *** condition should be considered in case the patient remains unresponsive or presents with acute neurological symptoms in the postintervention period since early recognition,diagnosis and hyperbaric oxygen therapy initiation are key factors determining the patient´s *** Within this report,we conclude that air/gas embolism is an extremely rare complication after TBLB,which should be considered in case the patient remains unresponsive or presents with acute neurological symptoms in the postintervention period after *** current gold standard for diagnosis is computed tomography scan of the *** recognition of this complication we suggest immediate hyperbaric oxygen therapy,if available.

Fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy （FLIM） has gained popularity as a sensitive technique to monitor the functional/conformational states of reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide （NADH）, one of the main compounds of oxidative phosphorylation. In this letter, we apply the technique to characterize the metabolic changes in mouse embryonic fibroblast 3T3 cells upon bacterial infection. A gradual shortening of the decaying time constants in both the short and the long lifetime components of NADH＇s autofluorescence is detected. The ratio of the short and the long lifetime components＇ relative contributions, however, shows a rapid increase, indicating the rise of cellular metabolic activity over the course of infection.

To the foundation of a principally new short-term forecasting method there has been laid down a theory of surrounding us world’s creation and of physical vacuum as a result of interaction of byuons-discrete objects. The definition of the byuon contains the cosmological vector-potential Ag- a novel fundamental vector constant. This theory predicts a new anisotropic interaction of nature objects with the physical vacuum. A pe- culiar “tap” to gain new energy (giving rise to an earthquake) are elementary particles because their masses are proportional to the modulus of some summary potential A∑ that contains po- tentials of all known fields. The value of A∑ cannot be larger than the modulus of Ag. In ac- cordance with the experimental results a new force associated with A ejects substance from the area of the weakened A along a conical formation with the opening of 100° ± 10° and the axis directed along the vector A∑ . This vector has the following coordinates in the second equatorial coordinate system: right ascension α≈ 293°± 10°, declination δ≈36° ± 10°. The 100% probability of an earthquake (earthquakes of 6 points strong and more by the Richter scale) arises when in the process of the earth rotation the zenith vector of a seismically dangerous region and/or the vectorial potential of Earth’s magnetic fields are in a certain way oriented relative to the vector Ag. In the work, basic models and standard mechanisms of earth- quakes are briefly considered, results of proc- essing of information on the earthquakes in the context of global spatial anisotropy caused by the existence of the vector Ag, are presented, and an analysis of them is given.

Kleiber’s Law or E = M3/4 is a mathematical expression known since 1932 that outlines the relationship between mass (biomass) and the use of energy. It is compelling because it supports a long standing observation that larger animals appear to use energy more efficiently than smaller ones. For example, an elephant’s weight is 200,000 times of a mouse, but uses only about 10,000 fold energy;thus a cat, having a mass of about 100 times of a mouse, only spends roughly 33 fold energy. In other words, the bigger you are, the less energy per gram of tissue you actually need to stay alive. Many facts pertaining to animal size call for a rational explanation. This paper takes into account that the fascinating relationship between mass and energy use for any living thing is governed strictly by a mathematical universal formula across all living species, operating in the tiniest of bacteria to the biggest of whales and sequoia tress. For the first time, we report a capacity for the mammal eukaryotic cell to split, break or dissociate water molecules through melanin. Even though E = M3/4 was discovered eight decades ago, no proper satisfactory explanation exists. Nevertheless, our multiyear detailed study on the “Human photosynthesis” or first found in the human retina and later in all eukaryotic cells, may finally unravel this mystery, namely, the bigger you are the more surface area you have to absorb electromagnetic radiation and the more potential exists to use that electromagnetic radiation spectra to perform work. We propose a future application of this theory in the context of human diseases, especially age-related disorders, such as retinopathy, cerebrovascular and Alzheimer disease and these implications may not only foster a better understanding of the pathobiology of these devastating diseases but also develop much more effective therapies in the foreseeable future.

The Basidiomycota constitutes a major phylum of the kingdom Fungi and is second in species numbers to the *** present work provides an overview of all validly published,currently used basidiomycete genera to date in a single *** outline of all genera of Basidiomycota is provided,which includes 1928 currently used genera names,with 1263 synonyms,which are distributed in 241 families,68 orders,18 classes and four *** provide brief notes for each accepted genus including information on classification,number of accepted species,type species,life mode,habitat,distribution,and sequence ***,three phylogenetic analyses with combined LSU,SSU,5.8s,rpb1,rpb2,and ef1 datasets for the subphyla Agaricomycotina,pucciniomycotina and Ustilaginomycotina are conducted,*** time estimates are provided to the family level with 632 species from 62 orders,168 families and 605 *** study indicates that the divergence times of the subphyla in Basidiomycota are 406-430 Mya,classes are 211-383 Mya,and orders are 99-323 Mya,which are largely consistent with previous *** this study,all phylogenetically supported families were dated,with the families of Agaricomycotina diverging from 27-178 Mya,pucciniomycotina from 85-222 Mya,and Ustilaginomycotina from 79-177 *** times as additional criterion in ranking provide additional evidence to resolve taxonomic problems in the Basidiomycota taxonomic system,and also provide a better understanding of their phylogeny and evolution.

The cryptic lifestyle of most fungi necessitates molecular identification of the guild in environmental *** the past decades,rapid development and affordability of molecular tools have tremendously improved insights of the fungal diversity in all ecosystems and ***,in spite of the progress of molecular methods,knowledge about functional properties of the fungal taxa is vague and interpretation of environmental studies in an ecologically meaningful manner remains *** order to facilitate functional assignments and ecological interpretation of environmental studies we introduce a user friendly traits and character database FungalTraits operating at genus and species hypothesis *** the information from previous efforts such as FUNGuild and FunFun together with involvement of expert knowledge,we reannotated 10,210 and 151 fungal and Stramenopila genera,*** resulted in a stand-alone spreadsheet dataset covering 17 lifestyle related traits of fungal and Stramenopila genera,designed for rapid functional assignments of environmental *** order to assign the trait states to fungal species hypotheses,the scientific community of experts manually categorised and assigned available trait information to 697,413 fungal ITS *** the basis of those sequences we were able to summarise trait and host information into 92,623 fungal species hypotheses at 1%dissimilarity threshold.
