Neuroglial cells are homeostatic neural cells. Generally, they are electrically non-excitable and their activation is associated with the generation of complex intracellular Ca^2＋ signals that define the ＂Ca^2＋ excitability＂ of glia. In mammalian glial cells the major source of Ca^2＋ for this excitability is the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum （ER）, which is ultimately （re）filled from the extracellular space. This occurs via store-operated Ca^2＋ entry （sOCE） which is supported by a specific signaling system connecting the ER with plasmalemmal Ca^2＋ entry. Here, emptying of the ER Ca^2＋ store is necessary and sufficient for the activation of sOCE, and without Ca^2＋ influx via sOCE the ER store cannot be refilled. The molecular arrangements underlying sOCE are relatively complex and include plasmalemmal channels, ER Ca^2＋ sensors, such as stromal interaction molecule, and possibly ER Ca^2＋ pumps （of the sERCA type）. There are at least two sets of plasmalemmal channels mediating sOCE, the Ca2＊-release activated channels, Orai, and transient receptor potential （TRP） channels. The molecular identity of neuroglial sOCE has not been yet identified unequivocally. However, it seems that Orai is predominantly expressed in microglia, whereas astrocytes and oligodendrocytes rely more on TRP channels to produce sOCE. In physiological conditions the sOCE pathway is instrumental for the sustained phase of the Ca^2＋ signal observed following stimulation of metabotropic receptors on glial cells.

Experimental study of coal fracture dynamics under the influence of cyclic freezing-thawing using shear elastic waves

Fragmentation model for large L/D (Length over Diameter) explosive fragmentation warheads

New advanced numerical computer model enabling accurate simulation of fragmentation parameters of large Length over Diameter(L/D)explosively driven metal shells has been developed and *** newly developed large L/D multi-region model links three-dimensional axisymmetric high strain high strain-rate hydrocode analyses with the conventional set of Picatinny Arsenal FRAGmentation(PAFRAG)simulation *** standard PAFRAG modeling technique is based on the Mott's theory of break-up of idealized cylindrical"ring-bombs",in which the length of the average fragment is a function of the radius and velocity of the shell at the moment of break-up,and the mechanical properties of the *** the newly developed multi-region model,each of the shell region,the break-up is assumed to occur instantaneously,whereas the entire shell is modeled to fragment at multiple times,according to the number of the regions *** to PAFRAG methodology,the required input for both the natural and the controlled fragmentation models including the geometry and the velocity of the shell at moment of break-up had been provided from the hydrocode analyses and validated with available experimental *** newly developed large L/D multi-region PAFRAG model has been shown to accurately reproduce available experimental fragmentation data.

On properties of the deterministic turbulence and reproducibility of its instantaneous and statistical characteristics

As known from previous studies, is a post-transitional flow that is turbulent the deterministic turbulence （DeTu） according to the generally accepted statistical characteristics but possesses, meanwhile, a significant degree of determinism, i.e., reproducibility of its instantaneous structure. It is found that the DeTu can occur in those cases when transition is caused by convective instabilities; in boundary layers, in particular. The present paper is devoted to a brief description of history of discovering the DeTu phenomenon, as well as to some recent advance in investigation of instantaneous and statistical properties of such turbulent boundary layer flows.

Operating limits and features of direct air capture on K_(2)CO_(3)/ZrO_(2) composite sorbent

Potassium carbonate-based sorbents are prospective materials for direct air capture(DAC).In the present study,we examined and revealed the influence of the temperature swing adsorption(TsA)cycle conditions on the CO_(2) sorption properties of a novel aerogel-based K_(2)CO_(3)/ZrO_(2) sorbent in a DAC *** was shown that the humidity and temperature drastically affect the sorption dynamic and sorption capacity of the *** a temperature at the sorption stage was 29℃ and a water vapor pressure P_(H2O) in the feed air was 5.2 mbar(1 bar=105 Pa),the composite material demonstrated a stable CO_(2) sorption capacity of 3.4%(mass).An increase in sorption temperature leads to a continuous decrease in the CO_(2) absorption capacity reaching a value of 0.7%(mass)at T=80℃.The material showed the retention of a stable CO_(2) sorption capacity for many cycles at each temperature in the *** PH2O in the inlet air from 5.2 to 6.8 mbar leads to instability of CO_(2) sorption capacity which decreases in the course of 3 consecutive TsA cycles from 1.7%to 0.8%(mass)at T=29℃.A further increase in air humidity only facilitates the deterioration of the CO_(2) sorption capacity of the material.A possible explanation for this phenomenon could be the filling of the porous system of the sorbent with solid reaction products and an aqueous solution of potassium salts,which leads to a significant slowdown in the CO_(2) diffusion in the composite sorbent *** investigate the regeneration step of the TsA cycle in situ,the macro ATRFTIR(attenuated total reflection Fourier-transform infrared)spectroscopic imaging was applied for the first *** was shown that the migration of carbonate-containing species over the surface of sorbent occurs during the thermal regeneration stage of the TsA *** movement of the active component in the porous matrix of the sorbent can affect the sorption characteristics of the composite *** revealed features make it possible

Quantifying the actual sediment load flux into Lake Baikal:A case study of the main tributary——The selenga River(Russia)

The significant reduction of sediment load flux into Lake Baikal from its main tributary-the selenga River began in the mid-1970 s,and can be explained by climate change and socio-economic *** analysis was done of changes in hydro-meteorological parameters(water discharge,sediment load,air temperature,and precipitation) and their tendencies over periods of 1946-1975(baseline) and1976-2017(warming).Changes in natural processes and human activity were negligible during the baseline *** the warming period,against the background of an increase in temperature,the water discharge had a slight decreasing trend(-13%) whereas the sediment load has significantly decreased(-53%) these are consist with the precipitation change(-9.4%).Analysis of hydro-climatic data using statistical methods showed that in the warming period the greatest reduction in river sediment runoff occurred in the interval *** this period the sediment load was 768 × 10～3 t/yr,which is less than the average value during the warming period-1048 × 10～3 t/*** sedimentation in the selenga River delta,the actual sediment load flux from the selenga River into Lake Baikal amounted to 515 × 10～3 t/yr,which is three times less than the average multiyear value 1535 × 10～3 t/yr for observation period(1946-2017).

The Relationship between Marx and Marxism: the Relevance of the Issue: in the XXIst Century

The paper looks at the issue of the relationship between Marx and Marxism. Three approaches to the issue,which are widespread in contemporary Marxist literature and among marxologists are discussed. The first approach: the true Marx is the philosophy of Marx minus political theory. The second approach: the true Marx is the philosophy of Marx plus political theory of social-democratic parties. The third approach: the true Marx is the philosophy of Marx plus political theory,developed most fully by Lenin in the preparation of the R ussian revolution. The third approach,from our point of view,corresponds most to the essence of genuine Marxism,at least as applied to the twentieth century. The paper examines in detail the principal novelty of Lenin speaking of the need to translate Marx's materialistic theory of history to the political level as a theoretical issue. The author also notes the contribution of the Chinese leaders into further development of the political theory of Marxism closely connected with the issues of strategy and tactics of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. In conclusion,the paper states that world history nowbecomes increasingly complex and mixed. Therefore,the question of whether Marxist philosophers in this situation will be able to find ways of realization the 11th thesis of Marx "On Feuerbach"remains open.

Calcium Carbide:From Elemental Carbon to Isotope-Economic synthesis of^(13)C_(2)-Labeled Heterocycles

^(13)C-Carbon is the most available source of *** is a relatively inexpensive solid material,which can be easily converted to calcium carbide-^(13)C_(2).In current work,Ca^(13)C_(2)was used for in situ generation of^(13)C_(2)-acetylene in 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition and[4+2]cycloaddition *** the first time,1H-1,2,3-triazoles-4,5-^(13)C_(2)and isoxazoles-4,5-^(13)C_(2)were synthesized using calcium carbide-^(13)C_(2).A Diels-Alder type cycloaddition of 3,6-di(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine and Ca^(13)C_(2)was investigated,and the best way for the synthesis of 3,6-di(pyridin-2-yl)pyridazine-4,5-^(13)C_(2)was proposed for the first *** we perform a detailled description of NMR spectra of^(13)C_(2)-labeled triazoles,isoxazoles and 3,6-di(pyridin-2-yl)pyridazine.
