Topochemical ion-exchange reactions between solid micro- and nanostructured metal chalcogenides and aqueous salt solutions are generally used for formation of composite structures based on initial metal chalcogenides and products of their ion-exchange transformation. However, ion exchange has promises as a route to obtaining both composites and solid solutions based on the initial and the end chalcogenide phases. With the help of the ion-exchange technique, single-phase films of Phi xSnxSe substitutional solid solutions with a tin content up to -2 at.%, which are promising for mid- and long-wavelength infrared radiation （iR） optoelectronics, have been obtained at the interface between PbSe poly- crystalline thin films and SnCl2 aqueous solutions containing sodium citrate. it has been shown that the pH value and temperature of the reaction system play an important role in the ion-exchange process. incubation of lead selenide （PbSe） films in a tin（ii） salt aqueous solution also leads to their modification with oxygen-containing tin compounds to a depth of-3 nm. Differences in the film structure, such as changes in the coherent scattering region sizes and orientation of crystallites along the [220] direction, which arise during the contact with citrate-containing SnCl2 solutions, have also been revealed. For the first time, an idea of the existence of a relatively wide reaction zone of an intragranular topochemical ion-exchange reaction in an aqueous solution, within which substitutional solid solutions can form in micro- and nanostructured systems, has been set forth.

^(13)C-Carbon is the most available source of *** is a relatively inexpensive solid material,which can be easily converted to calcium carbide-^(13)C_(2).in current work,Ca^(13)C_(2)was used for in situ generation of^(13)C_(2)-acetylene in 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition and[4+2]cycloaddition *** the first time,1H-1,2,3-triazoles-4,5-^(13)C_(2)and isoxazoles-4,5-^(13)C_(2)were synthesized using calcium carbide-^(13)C_(2).A Diels-Alder type cycloaddition of 3,6-di(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine and Ca^(13)C_(2)was investigated,and the best way for the synthesis of 3,6-di(pyridin-2-yl)pyridazine-4,5-^(13)C_(2)was proposed for the first *** we perform a detailled description of NMR spectra of^(13)C_(2)-labeled triazoles,isoxazoles and 3,6-di(pyridin-2-yl)pyridazine.

We theoretically demonstrate a rich and significant new families of exact spatially localized and periodic wave solutions for a modified Korteweg–de Vries *** model applies for the description of different nonlinear structures which include breathers,interacting solitons and interacting periodic wave solutions.A joint parameter which can take both positive and negative values of unity appeared in the functional forms of those closed form solutions,thus implying that every solution is determined for each value of this *** results indicate that the existence of newly derived structures depend on whether the type of nonlinearity of the medium should be considered self-focusing or *** obtained nonlinear waveforms show interesting properties that may find practical applications.

On the radiative and thermodynamic properties of the cosmic radiations using COBE FiRAS instrument data: Ⅲ. Galactic far-infrared radiation

Using the three-component spectral model describing the FiRAS average continuum spectra, the exact analytical expressions for thermodynamic and radiative functions of Galactic far-infrared radiation are obtained. The COBE FiRAS instrument data in the 0.15-2.88 THz frequency interval at the mean temperatures of T1= 17.72 K, T2= 14 K and T3= 6.73 K are used for calculating the radiative and thermodynamic functions, such as the total radiation power per unit area, total energy density, total emissivity, number density of photons, Helmholtz free energy density, entropy density, heat capacity at constant volume and pressure for the warm,intermediate-temperature and very cold components of the Galactic continuum spectra. The generalized Stefan-Boltzmann law for warm, intermediate-temperature and very cold components is constructed. The temperature dependence of each component is determined by the formula iS-B（T） = σ′ T6. This result is important when we construct the cosmological models of radiative transfer that can be applied inside the Galaxy. Within the framework of the three-component spectral model, the total number of photons in our Galaxy and the total radiation power（total luminosity） emitted from a surface of the Galaxy are calculated. Their values are N6Gtotal= 1.3780 × 108 and i3Gtotal（T） = 1.0482 × 106 W. Other radiative and thermodynamic properties of the Galactic far-infrared radiation（photon gas） of the Galaxy are calculated. The expressions for astrophysical parameters, such as the entropy density/Boltzmann constant and number density of the Galactic far-infrared photons are obtained. We assume that the obtained analytical expressions for thermodynamic and radiative functions may be useful for describing the continuum spectra of the far-infrared radiation for other galaxies.

Provenance of Precambrian Fe- and Al-rich Metapelites in the Yenisey Ridge and Kuznetsk Alatau, Siberia: Geochemical Signatures

Major, trace and rare earth element contents of Fe- and Al-rich metapelites from the Korda （Yenisey Ridge） and Amar （Kuznetsk Alatau） formations were determined to examine the nature, origin and evolution of their protoliths. Results indicate that these rocks are the redeposited and metamorphosed products of Precambrian kaolinitic weathering crusts, while the geochemical distinctions between the studied metapelites are determined by different weathering conditions in the source area and tectonic settings. The protolith of the Korda Formation metapelites was produced by erosion products of the post-Archean granitoid rocks, which accumulated under humid climate conditions in shallow-water basins along the continental margin. The geochemical characteristics of the deeper primary deposits of the Amar Formation suggest that volcanogenic material of mafic composition derived from an island-arc environment had a major role in supplying the erosion zone. These results agree with lithofacies data and with the geodynamic reconstruction of the evolution of the Yenisey Ridge and Kuznetsk Alatau during the Mesoproterozoic and Neoproterozoic, respectively. it was shown that REEs had limited mobility during contact metamorphism. The coherent mobility of REEs during collisional metamorphism may be attributed both to mineral reactions responsible for modal changes and to local chemical heterogeneity inherited from the initial protolith.

Advances in small animal mesentery models for in vivo flow cytometry,dynamic microscopy,and drug screening

Using animal mesentery with intravital optical microscopy is a well-established experimental model for studying blood and lymph microcirculation in vivo. Recent advances in cell biology and optical techniques provide the basis for extending this model for new applications, which should generate significantly improved experimental data. This review summarizes the achievements in this specific area, including in vivo label-free blood and lymph photothermal flow cytometry, super-sensitive fluorescence image cytometry, light scattering and speckle flow cytometry, microvessel dynamic microscopy, infrared (iR) angiography, and high-speed imaging of individual cells in fast flow. The capabilities of these techniques, using the rat mesentery model, were demonstrated in various studies; e.g., real-time quantitative detection of circulating and migrating individual blood and cancer cells, studies on vascular dynamics with a focus on lymphatics under normal conditions and under different interventions (e.g. lasers, drugs, nicotine), assessment of lymphatic disturbances from experimental lymphedema, monitoring cell traffic between blood and lymph systems, and high-speed imaging of cell transient deformability in flow. in particular, the obtained results demonstrated that individual cell transportation in living organisms depends on cell type (e.g., normal blood or leukemic cells), the cell’s functional state (e.g., live, apoptotic, or necrotic), and the functional status of the organism. Possible future applications, including in vivo early diagnosis and prevention of disease, monitoring immune response and apoptosis, chemo- and radio-sensitivity tests, and drug screening, are also discussed.

Single and multi domain buckled germanene phases on Al(111)surface

The simultaneous formati on of single domain(3×3)and multi domai n(√7×√7)R(±19.1°)germa nene phases on Al(111)surface in thesub-monolayer range was studied using seanning tunneling microscopy(STM)and density functional theory(DFT)based *** results revealed that both germa nene phases nu cleate and grow in dependently from each other and regardless of Al substratetemperature within significantly expanded range Ts=27-200℃.Our results unambiguously showed that STM images with hexagonalcontrast yield correct-resolved structure for both germanene phases,while honeycomb contrast is a result of an artificial tip-induced STM ***-principles calculations suggested atomic models with strongly buckled germanene(2×2)/Al(111)(3×3)and(√3×√3)R30°/Al(111)(√7×√7)R(±19.1°)with one of eight and one of six Ge atoms protruding upward respectively,that consistently describe the experimentally observed STM images both for single and multi domai n surface *** to the DFT based simulati ons both germa nene(2×2)and(√3×√3)R30°superstructures have a stretched lattice strain with respect to the ideal free-standing germa nene by 6.2%and 13.9%,***,numerous small domains separated by domain boundaries in the(√3×√3)R30°/Al(111)(√7×√7)R(±19.1°)germanenephase tend to reduce the surface energy and prevent the formation of extended single domains,in contrast to the(2×2)/Al(111)(3×3)***,our experimental results showed that the nucleation and growth of germa nene on Al(111)surface yield strong modifications of Alsurface even at room temperature(RT),which may be contributed to the formation of Al-Ge alloy due to Ge surface solid-states reactivitythat was ignored in recent *** is already evident from our present findings that the role of Al atoms in the formation of(3×3)and(√7×√7)R(±19.1°)germa nene phases is worthy to be carefully studied in the future,which could be an important knowledge for large-quantityfabrication of germane

We report a theoretical investigation of coherent-to-incoherent heat conduction in multilayer *** the coherent regime where the phonon motion is quasi-harmonic,the elastic continuum model gives accurate cross-plane thermal conductivity predictions of upper limits and demonstrates that the coherent transport is the result of the interplay between intrinsic wave *** the temperature or system size increases,the phonon dephasing scattering results in the deviation of thermal conductivity from the coherent-limit *** further introducing the incoherence of phonons,we reproduce the classical minimum thermal conductivity,indicating the feasibility of extending the pure wave model into the wave-particle crossing regime.

Experimental study on hybridization of a PV–TEG system for electrical performance enhancement using heat exchangers,energy,exergy and economic levelized cost of energy(LCOE)analysis

The concept of employing thermoelectric generators(TEGs)to recover energy from waste heat has gained popularity,with applications that range from milliwatt to kilowatt levels of output *** this study,a hybrid photovoltaic panel and thermoelectric generator(HPVTEG)system consisting of an integrated heat exchanger,a commercial polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic(PV)panel and a commercial bismuth telluride TEG was ***,TE components can be used to cool PV modules,increasing their output power via the Seebeck *** main finding is that the hybrid system has a reduced average temperature of 16.01°*** average power of the stand-alone PV panel is 28.06 W,but that of the HPVTEG system is 32.76 W,which is an increase of 4.7 *** conversion efficiency and power of the hybrid system increased by 16.7%and 16.4%,respectively,compared with a stand-alone PV *** HPVTEG system achieved an average exergy efficiency of 12.79%compared with 10.98%for a stand-alone PV *** to the calculation results,the levelized cost of energy(LCOE)of the stand-alone PV panel can range from 0.06741 to 0.10251 US$/kWh depending on how many days it is in operation,while the LCOE of the HPVTEG system can range from 0.06681 to 0.10160 US$/kWh.

Siberian silkmoth outbreaks surpassed geoclimatic barrier in Siberian Mountains

Siberian silkmoth(SSM,Dendrolimus sibiricus Tschetv.)is the most important defoliator of Siberian pine(Pinus sibirica Du Tour)and fir(Abies sibirica Ledeb.)***-induced SSM outbreaks are one of the major driving factors of successions within the taiga *** is suggested that climate change impacted the SSM range and life *** analyzed the migration of alpine and northerly SSM outbreak boundaries in Siberia and the impact of the climate variables and topography on the outbreak *** used time-series scenes(multispectral data,and vegetation indexes EVi and NDii)in combination with field studies,climate variables,and GiS *** found that SSM outbreaks in the area of alpine boundary shifted about 370 m uphill since the mid of *** outbreak onset was promoted by increased dryness and active temperatures and decreased root zone moisture content in the spring-early summer *** terrain topography strongly affected SSM outbreak onset and ***,the outbreak was located at the middle elevations on the gentle concave southeastern slopes,which are the favorable insect habitats between *** the outbreak expanded uphill and downhill,to steeper slopes,and both concave and convex *** with elevation range expansion,SSM surpassed its northern historical outbreak boundary:the potential outbreaks’boundary moved about 300 km *** warming contributes to SSM migration into former outbreak free conifer stands located in highlands and at northern latitudes.
