In this article, we focus to study about modified objective function approach for multiobjective optimization problem with vanishing constraints. An equivalent η-approximated multiobjective optimization problem is constructed by a modification of the objective function in the original considered optimization problem. Furthermore, we discuss saddle point criteria for the aforesaid problem. Moreover, we present some examples to verify the established results.

An analytical study is presented on the modal dispersion characteristics, group velocity, and effective group, as well as the phase index of a ternary one dimensional plasma photonic crystal for an obliquely incident electromagnetic wave considering the effect of collisions in plasma layers. The dispersion relation is derived by using the transfer matrix method and the boundary conditions based on electromagnetic theory. The dispersion curves are plotted for both the normal photonic band gap structure and the absorption photonic band gap structure. It is found that the increase in the angle of incidence shifts the photonic band gap toward higher frequencies. Also, the cutoff frequency is independent of collisions.

The transfer matrix method is used to study the effect of the permittivity profile on the reflectivity of a one dimensional plasma photonic crystal having exponentially graded material. The analysis shows that the proposed structure works as a perfect mirror within a certain frequency range. These frequency ranges can be completely controlled by the permittivity profile of a graded dielectric layer. As expected we observed that these frequency ranges are also controlled by plasma parameters.

The Rock-Eval technique in the last few decades has found extensive application for source rock *** impact of shale particle crush-size and sample weight on key Rock-Eval measurements,*** S;curve(heavier hydrocarbons released during the non-isothermal pyrolysis-stage)and the S;curve(CO_(2)released from oxidation of organic matter during the oxidation-stage)are investigated in this *** high and low total organic carbon(TOC)samples of different thermal maturity levels,it is apparent that particle crush-size has a strong influence on the results obtained from RockEval analysis,with the effect being stronger in high-TOC *** comparison to the coarser-splits,S;and pyrolyzable carbon(PC)were found to be higher for the finer crush sizes in all the shales *** S_(2)CO_(2)oxidation curve shapes of Permian shales show contrasting signatures in comparison to the Paleocene-aged lignitic shale,both from Indian basins.A reduced TOC was observed with rising sample weight for a mature Permian shale from the Jharia basin,while the other shales sampled showed no significant *** results indicate that the S_(2)CO_(2)curve and the S_(2)T_(2),are strongly dependent on the type of organic-matter present and its level of thermal *** weight and particle size both influence the S;-curve shapes at different heating *** increasing sample weights,an increase in S;-curve magnitude was observed for the shales of diverse *** differences in the S;curve shape lead to substantially different kinetic distributions being fitted to these *** findings are considered to have significant implications for the accuracy of reaction kinetics obtained from pyrolysis experiments using different sample characteristics.

We have theoretically studied the modal dispersion equation and effective refractive index of one-dimensional plasma photonic crystals (1-D PPCs) having different materials in one unit cell. The dispersion relations related for such structure is derived by solving Maxwell’s equation using the transfer matrix method. It is found that the presence of plasma in a unit cell enhanced the phase matching ability and provides additional degree of freedom to control phase matching condition compared to the conventional one-dimensional photonic crystals (1-D PCs).

On-table reconstruction and fixation of Mason type III radial head fractures

Purpose： To evaluate the functional and radiological outcome of comminuted radial head fractures, which were not amenable for classical open reduction with internal fixation, treated by on-table reconstruction and fixation using low profile plates. Methods： We reviewed 6 patients of Mason type Ill radial head fractures treated by on-table recon- struction technique between 2011 and 2013. There were 5 men and 1 woman with a mean age of 35 years （range 25-46 years）. All surgeries were carried out at our tertiary care level 1 trauma centre within a mean of 3 days （range 1-8 days） from date of injury using on-table reconstruction technique. The functional outcome was measured using elbow functional rating index described by Broberg and Morrey and the patient-based Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand （DASH） outcome measure. Results： The mean follow-up period was 25 months, The average elbow flexion was 135~ （range 125~ -140~） and the average flexion contracture was 5~ （range 0-10~）. The average supination and pronation was 75~ （range ？0o-80~） and 70~ （range 65^-82~） respectively. According to Broberg and Morrey scoring system, the average score was 90 points （range 75-100）. The mean DASH score was 2.49 points, Conclusion： On-table reconstruction and fixation of comminuted radial head fractures using low profile plates is a reasonable option. The reconstructed radial head acts as spacer and provides reasonably good results and no surgical intervention is required for asymptomatic nonunion of these fractures regardless of the radiological findings.

The dispersion characteristics of binary 1D-PPCs having inhomogeneous plasma in the unit cell are studied. Using the transfer matrix method the required dispersion relations are obtained. Here the linear and exponential plasma density profiles are considered and compared with the homogeneous plasma having uniform density profile. It is observed that the inhomogeneity in plasma layer highly affect dispersion curves. By comparing the dispersion curves obtained in all considered cases, it is found that the widths of band gaps and phase velocities are always larger for exponential density profile than the linear uniform density profiles in the considered frequency range.

BACKGROUND Patients who undergo orthopedic procedures are often given excess opioid *** the relationship between pain and opioid consumption following total hip arthroplasty(THA)is key to creating safe and effective opioid prescribing *** To evaluate the association between the quantity of opioid consumption in relation to pain scores both pre-and postoperatively in patients undergoing primary *** We retrospectively reviewed patients who underwent primary THA from November 2018-May 2019 and answered both the visual analog scale(VAS)pain and opioid medication questionnaires pre-and *** surveys were delivered daily for 7-days before surgery through the first 30 postoperative *** results were divided into preoperative,postoperative days 1-7,postoperative days 8-14,and postoperative days 15-30 for *** opioid pill consumption and VAS pain scores in each time period were determined and compared to patients’preoperative status using hierarchical Poisson and linear regressions,*** There were 105 patients *** VAS pain scores were the highest preoperatively 7.41±***,VAS pain scores significantly declined in each successive postoperative category compared to preoperative scores:postoperative day 1-7(5.07±1.79;P<0.001),postoperative day 8-14(3.60±1.64;P<0.001),and postoperative day 15-30(3.15±1.63;P<0.001).Mean opioid pill consumption preoperatively was 0.68±1.29 *** to preoperative opioid consumption,opioid use was significantly greater between postoperative days 1-7(1.51±1.58;P=0.001)and postoperative days 8-14(1.00±1.27;P=0.043).Opioid consumption declined below preoperative levels between postoperative days 15-30(0.35±0.72;P=0.160)which correlates with a VAS pain score of *** All patients experienced significant benefit and pain relief from having undergone *** postoperative opioid consumption decreased below preoperative consumption
