This study describes improving network security by implementing and assessing an intrusion detection system(IDS)based on deep neural networks(DNNs).The paper investigates contemporary technical ways for enhancing intrusion detection performance,given the vital relevance of safeguarding computer networks against harmful *** DNN-based IDS is trained and validated by the model using the NSL-KDD dataset,a popular benchmark for IDS *** model performs well in both the training and validation stages,with 91.30%training accuracy and 94.38%validation ***,the model shows good learning and generalization capabilities with minor losses of 0.22 in training and 0.1553 in ***,for both macro and micro averages across class 0(normal)and class 1(anomalous)data,the study evaluates the model using a variety of assessment measures,such as accuracy scores,precision,recall,and F1 *** macro-average recall is 0.9422,the macro-average precision is 0.9482,and the accuracy scores are ***,macro-averaged F1 scores of 0.9245 for class 1 and 0.9434 for class 0 demonstrate the model’s ability to precisely identify anomalies *** research also highlights how real-time threat monitoring and enhanced resistance against new online attacks may be achieved byDNN-based intrusion detection systems,which can significantly improve network *** study underscores the critical function ofDNN-based IDS in contemporary cybersecurity procedures by setting the foundation for further developments in this *** research aims to enhance intrusion detection systems by examining cooperative learning techniques and integrating up-to-date threat knowledge.

Machine learning optimization strategy of shaped charge liner structure based on jet penetration efficiency

Shaped charge liner (SCL) has been extensively applied in oil recovery and defense industries. Achieving superior penetration capability through optimizing SCL structures presents a substantial challenge due to intricate rate-dependent processes involving detonation-driven liner collapse, high-speed jet stretching, and penetration. This study introduces an innovative optimization strategy for SCL structures that employs jet penetration efficiency as the primary objective function. The strategy combines experimentally validated finite element method with machine learning (FEM-ML). We propose a novel jet penetration efficiency index derived from enhanced cutoff velocity and shape characteristics of the jet via machine learning. This index effectively evaluates the jet penetration performance. Furthermore, a multi-model fusion based on a machine learning optimization method, called XgBOOST-MFO, is put forward to optimize SCL structure over a large input space. The strategy's feasibility is demonstrated through the optimization of copper SCL implemented via the FEM-ML strategy. Finally, this strategy is extended to optimize the structure of the recently emerging CrMnFeCoNi high-entropy alloy conical liners and hemispherical copper liners. Objective The aim of this study is to explore the potential modulatory role of quercetin against Endotoxin or lipopolysaccharide(LPS)induced septic cardiac *** Specific pathogen-free chicken embryos(n=120)were allocated untreated control,phosphate buffer solution(PBS)vehicle,PBS with ethanol vehicle,LPS(500 ng/egg),LPS with quercetin treatment(10,20,or 40 nmol/egg,respectively),Quercetin groups(10,20,or 40 nmol/egg).Fifteenday-old embryonated eggs were inoculated with abovementioned solutions via the allantoic *** embryonic day 19,the hearts of the embryos were collected for histopathological examination,RNA extraction,real-time polymerase chain reaction,immunohistochemical investigations,and Western *** They demonstrated that the heart presented inflammatory responses after LPS *** LPS-induced higher mRNA expressions of inflammation-related factors(TLR4,TNFα,MYD88,NF-κB1,IFNγ,IL-1β,IL-8,IL-6,IL-10,p38,MMP3,and MMP9)were blocked by quercetin with three *** significantly decreased immunopositivity to TLR4 and MMP9 in the treatment group when compared with the LPS *** significantly decreased protein expressions of TLR4,IFNγ,MMP3,and MMP9 when compared with the LPS *** treatment prevented LPS-induced increase in the mRNA expression of Claudin 1 and ZO-1,and significantly decreased protein expression of claudin 1 when compared with the LPS *** significantly downregulated autophagyrelated gene expressions(PPARα,SgLT1,APOA4,AMPKα1,AMPKα2,ATg5,ATg7,Beclin-1,and LC3B)and programmed cell death(Fas,Bcl-2,CASP1,CASP12,CASP3,and RIPK1)after LPS *** significantly decreased immunopositivity to APOA4,AMPKα2,and LC3-II/LC3-I in the treatment group when compared with the LPS *** significantly decreased protein expressions of AMPKα1,LC3-I,and *** significantly decreased the protein expression to CASP1 and CASP3 by immunohistochemical investigation or

In this paper,the dust particle surface potential for argon-helium plasma is evaluated analytically and numerically in the context of negatively charged dust particles by employing a power-law(r,q)-distribution *** studies have reported the argon-helium plasma and conducted a brief theoretical and experimental *** deepen our understanding further,this study aims to analyze the argon-helium plasma comprehensively using the same pattern but with the(r,q)-distribution *** this purpose,the current balance equations are derived for electron,helium and argon ions,when these charge species attain the quasineutrality *** numerically examined the currents of plasma species for a broad range of effective distribution function parameters r and *** is revealed that the surface potential of dust particles is significantly affected by the parameters r and q,helium ion-to-electron temperature ratio,argon ion-to-electron temperature ratio,and helium ion to argon ion number density *** incorporating the multi-ion(argon-helium)species,the significance of low-temperature nonMaxwellian dusty(complex)plasma is briefly examined.

CNN Channel Attention Intrusion Detection SystemUsing NSL-KDD Dataset

Intrusion detection systems(IDS)are essential in the field of cybersecurity because they protect networks from a wide range of online *** goal of this research is to meet the urgent need for small-footprint,highly-adaptable Network Intrusion Detection Systems(NIDS)that can identify *** NSL-KDD dataset is used in the study;it is a sizable collection comprising 43 variables with the label’s“attack”and“level.”It proposes a novel approach to intrusion detection based on the combination of channel attention and convolutional neural networks(CNN).Furthermore,this dataset makes it easier to conduct a thorough assessment of the suggested intrusion detection ***,maintaining operating efficiency while improving detection accuracy is the primary goal of this ***,typical NIDS examines both risky and typical behavior using a variety of *** the NSL-KDD dataset,our CNN-based approach achieves an astounding 99.728%accuracy rate when paired with channel *** to previous approaches such as ensemble learning,CNN,RBM(Boltzmann machine),ANN,hybrid auto-encoders with CNN,MCNN,and ANN,and adaptive algorithms,our solution significantly improves intrusion detection ***,the results highlight the effectiveness of our suggested method in improving intrusion detection precision,signifying a noteworthy advancement in this *** efforts will focus on strengthening and expanding our approach in order to counteract growing cyberthreats and adjust to changing network circumstances.

Are gender inclusiveness and rural transformation interlinked?The case of Bangladesh

Comparative analysis of unipolar and bipolar plasma electrolytic oxidation coatings on Al-Mg laminated macro composites

Al-Mg laminated macro composites （LMC） have garnered attention due to their excellent mechanical properties and low density. However， their weak corrosion resistance has limited their industrial applications. Plasma electrolytic oxidation （PEO） has been explored as a potential solution to this issue by producing hard and thick oxide coatings on the surface of Al-Mg LMCs manufactured through hot extrusion bonding. In this study， PEO coatings were prepared on Al-Mg LMCs using both unipolar and bipolar waveforms in an appropriate electrolyte for both aluminum and magnesium alloys. The techniques of FESEM/EDX， gIXRD， and electrochemical methods of Potentiodynamic polarization and EIS were carried out. The results revealed that the coatings produced using the bipolar waveform exhibited lower porosity and higher thickness than those produced using the unipolar one. The corrosion performance of the specimens' cut edge was investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） after 1， 8， and 12 hours of immersion in a 3.5%wt. NaCl solution. It was observed that the coating produced using the bipolar waveform demonstrated the highest corrosion resistance after 12 hours of immersion， with an estimated corrosion resistance of 41.87 kΩ.cm2， which was approximately three times higher than that of the unipolar coating. Notably， no signs of galvanic corrosion were observed in the LMC， and only minor corrosion attacks were observed on the magnesium layer in some areas.

This study reports on an investigation of fine and coarse carbonaceous particulate matters(PM)in Tachileik,eastern Myanmar,during the dry and wet seasons of *** carbon compositions,including organic carbon(OC)and elemental carbon(EC),in each size(PM10-2.5,PM2.5-1.0,and PM1.0-0.5)were determined by a carbon *** average total mass concentration of the three fractions of particle samples during the dry season was higher(51.23±23.86μg/m3)than that of the wet season(14.00±5.26μg/m3).The results indicate that OC and EC levels were highest for PM1.0-0.5 during the dry season and the sizes were similar for both *** OC/EC ratios varied in different seasons,from 1.93 to 4.40 and 4.13 to 5.25 in the dry and wet seasons,*** was sub-divided into char-EC and soot-EC;the char-EC/soot-EC in the dry season was higher than in the wet season,signifying that biomass burning is the main particle source during the dry ***,vehicle emissions dominated during the wet *** effective carbon ratio(ECR)suggested that finer particles contributed more to global *** information is important in terms of air quality control and mitigation in Myanmar and elsewhere.
