For phosphorus （P） recovery from wastewater, the effect of humic substances （hS） on the precipitation of calcium phosphate was studied. Batch experiments of calcium phosphate precipitation were undertaken with synthetic water that contained 20 mg/L phosphate （as P） and 20 mg/L hS （as dissolved organic carbon, DOC） at a constant ph value in the range of 8.0-10.0. The concentration variations of phosphate, calcium （Ca） and hS were measured in the precipitation process; the crystalline state and compositions of the precipitates were analysed by powder X-ray diffraction （XRD） and chemical methods, respectively. It showed that at solution ph 8.0, the precipitation rate and removal efficiency of phosphate were greatly reduced by hS, but at solution ph ≥9.0, the effect of hS was very small. The Ca consumption for the precipitation of phosphate increased when hS was added; hS was also removed from solution with the precipitation of calcium phosphate. At solution ph 8.0 and hS concentrations ≤3.5 mg/L, and at ph ≥ 9.0 and hS concentrations ≤ 10 mg/L, the final precipitates were proved to be hydroxyapatite （hAP） by XRD. The increases of solution ph value and initial Ca/P ratio helped reduce the influence of hS on the precipitation of phosphate.

Characteristics of ULF waves associated with the solar wind deceleration in the Earth＇s foreshock on 6-7 April 2003 is studied using the wave telescope technique. In the satellite frame, the ULF waves are the left-handed polarized and quasi anti-parallel propagating mode, with a power peak at about 18.63mhz. The wave vector in the GSE coordinates is estimated to be k = （-4.29, 2.28, 1.21）×10^-4 km^-1, In the solar wind frame, the frequency of waves becomes - 9.39 mhz after the Doppler shift correction. The propagation direction of the waves is thus reversed and correspondingly the polarization of the waves becomes right-handed. The above-mentioned characteristics of the ULF waves in the solar wind frame indicate that the ULF waves associated with the solar wind deceleration are the Alfven-whistler waves, which have been frequently reported in both the observations and computer simulations.

In this work, the transport and removal of Cr(Ⅵ) were achieved through supported liquid membrane(SLM) by using a 5,17, di-tert-butyl-11,23-bis[(1,4-dioxa-8-azaspiro [4,5]decanyl)methyl]-25,26,27,28-tetrahydroxy calix[4]arene carrier, dissolved in 2-nitrophenyl octyl ether *** studied parameters are the solvent effect in the membrane phase, the effect of carrier concentration, and the acid type in the donor *** Celgard 2500 was used as a membrane *** used the Danesi mass transfer model to calculate the permeability coefficients for each studied *** addition, AFM and SEM techniques were used to characterize the surface morphology of the prepared Celgard 2500 membrane that included the calix[4]arene carrier.

healing Process of Casting Pores in a Ni-based Superalloy by hot Isostatic Pressing

hot isostatic pressing （hIP） with a pressure of 180 MPa at a temperature of 1170 ℃ was introduced to an investment cast Ni-based superalloy （Mgl） turbocharger blade to explore the healing process of casting pores generated during investment casting. Optical micrograph and scanning electron naicroscopy （SEM） observations indicate that eutectic pores are the main cast defects in the as-cast blade before hIP. These pores normally locate at the solidification front of γ/γ＇ eutectic with a size of a few micrometers to a few tens of micrometers. After hIP for 4 h, most of the pores were closed. Based on phase characteristics, these pores were healed by the formation of γ matrix with finer and irregular-shaped γ＇ precipitates. healing interface can be easily distinguished by SEM. Line scan by using energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDS） reveals a much higher Ti and Al concentration in the healing interface. It is proposed that solute diffusion toward the casting pores during hIP results in the formation of γ, and the much higher concentration of γ＇-forming elements Al and Ti near the healing interface contributes to the precipitation of γ＇ in the healed region in the succeeding cooling process after hIP.

In addition to complications relating to the liver, patients with cirrhosis and portal hypertension develop extrahepatic functional disturbances of multiple organ systems. This can be considered a multiple organ failure that involves the heart, lungs, kidneys, the immune systems, and other organ systems. Progressive fibrosis of the liver and subsequent metabolic impairment leads to a systemic and splanchnic arteriolar vasodilatation. This affects both the haemodynamic and functional homeostasis of many organs and largely determines the course of the disease. With the progression of the disease, the circulation becomes hyperdynamic with cardiac, pulmonary as well as renal consequences for dysfunction and reduced survival. Infections and a changed cardiac function known as cirrhotic cardiomyopathy may be involved in further aggravation of other complications such as renal failure precipitatingthe hepatorenal *** with end-stage liver disease and related complications as for example the hepatopulmonary syndrome can only radically be treated by liver *** a bridge to this treatment,knowledge on the mechanisms of the pathophysiology of complications is essential for the choice of vasoactive drugs,antibiotics,drugs with specific effects on fibrogenesis and inflammation,and drugs that target specific receptors.
