Int.oduct.on: t.e choice of adopt.ng unilat.ral pedicle screw fixat.on or using bilat.ral pedicle screw fixat.on in lumbar spinal st.nosis remains cont.oversial. In our cont.xt. very few st.dies have been performed comparing t.e clinical effect.veness of unilat.ral versus bilat.ral fixat.on in t.e surgical management.of lumbar spinal canal st.nosis. Object.ve: Evaluat. t.e impact.on qualit. of life and clinical efficacy of unilat.ral spondylodesis compared t. bilat.ral spondylodesis in t.e surgical management.of lumbar spinal canal st.nosis at.t.e Yaounde Cent.al Hospit.l. Met.ods: t.is was a ret.ospect.ve descript.ve cross-sect.onal st.dy for a period of 4 years, from June 2015 t. June 2019. It.involved all pat.ent. operat.d for lumbar canal st.nosis and who underwent.spondylodesis or spinal fusion at.t.e neurosurgery depart.ent.of t.e Yaounde Cent.al Hospit.l. Result.: A t.t.l of 68 part.cipant. were recruit.d during our st.dy period. 32 (47%) of t.e st.dy populat.on were in t.e 50 - 60 age group, wit. a mean age of 56.98 years ranging from 41 t. 75 years. Females, housewives and farmers were t.e most.affect.d. In our st.dy, 72% of pat.ent. had unilat.ral spondylodesis and 28% had bilat.ral fusion. Preoperat.vely, 71% of pat.ent. had insurmount.ble pain, refract.ry t. medical t.eat.ent. At.3 mont.s post.perat.vely, 73.7% of pat.ent. wit. bilat.ral set.p had moderat. pain compared t. 69% of t.ose wit. unilat.ral set.p. At.6 mont.s post.perat.vely, 79% of pat.ent. wit. bilat.ral fusion had mild pain compared t. 82% of pat.ent. wit. unilat.ral set.p. At.1 year post.perat.vely, all pat.ent. had mild pain. Preoperat.vely, 66.2% of pat.ent. were unable t. walk and 19.1% of pat.ent. were bedridden according t. t.e Oswest.y score. Int.oduct.on: Met.st.t.c spinal t.mors (MSt. refer t. secondary involvement.of t.e vert.bral column by hemat.genously-disseminat.d met.st.t.c cells. t.ey could affect.eit.er t.e bony st.uct.res or t.e spinal cords. Mechanical inst.bilit. and neurologic deficit. result.ng from spinal cord compression are t.e most.common manifest.t.ons. Surgical int.rvent.on remains t.e most.effect.ve t.eat.ent.for about.20% of pat.ent. who present.wit. spinal cord compression. t.e prognosis is relat.vely poor. t.is work has as object.ves t. describe: t.e diagnost.c t.ols, t.e different.modalit.es of management.and t.e prognost.c element. of spine met.st.sis. Met.odology: We conduct.d an ambispect.ve cross-sect.onal descript.ve st.dy;wit. ret.ospect.ve dat. collect.on from January 2015 t. December 2021 and prospect.ve collect.on from January t. April 2022 in t.e “Neurosurgery” unit.of t.e Yaounde Cent.al Hospit.l and t.e “Oncology and Neurosurgery” unit. of Yaounde General Hospit.l. Result. We included 101 pat.ent.. t.e M/F sex rat.o was 1.66. t.e average age of t.e part.cipant. was 56.44 years (±14.19 SD) wit. a median of 58 years. Met.st.t.c spinal t.mors were discovered in 61.39% of pat.ent. wit. a previously known primary t.mor and 21.78% of pat.ent. had newly discovered t.mors. t.e neurologic examinat.on revealed a vert.bral syndrome in 79.21% of cases, radicular syndrome in 60.40% and sub-lesional syndrome in 59.89%. Sensory disorders account.d for 39.60% and sphinct.r disorders account.d for 34.65%. According t. t.e degree of severit., t.e lesions were classified as Frankel E (37.62%) followed by Frankel D (21.78%). Met.st.t.c lesions were most.y found at.t.e t.oracic vert.brae (68.25%) and lumbar vert.brae (22.22%). t.e most.represent.d primary t.mors were: prost.t. t.mors (41.58%) and breast.t.mors (23.76%);followed by malignant.hemopat.ies (15.84%). Background: In Côt. d’Ivoire so far, t.e circulat.ng haplot.pes have been inferred on t.e phenot.pic profiling of SCD pat.ent.. t.e impact.of t.e circulat.ng haplot.pes on t.e use of Hydroxyurea has not.been assessed yet. t.erefore t.e object.ve of t.is st.dy is t. ident.fy in Abidjan t.e HbS haplot.pes t.at.modulat. HU t.eat.ent.responses. Met.ods: In a cross-sect.onal descript.ve and analyt.cal st.dy, children aged 5 t. 15 years wit. SCD, and carrying t.e hemoglobin phenot.pes SSFA2 and SFA2, were recruit.d int. a HU t.eat.ent.cohort. Various paramet.rs on t.e haplot.pes and t.e out.omes of t.e t.eat.ent.were analyzed. Result.: t.irt. nine children wit. SCD were included. t.e phenot.pic profile of t.e cohort.was 86.6% of SSFA2 and 15.4% of SFA2. t.ree haplot.pes were found, t.e Benin haplot.pe, t.e Senegal haplot.pe, and an at.pical one. t.e part.cipant. belonged t. t.ree genot.pes, Benin/at.pical (64.1%), Benin/Senegal (33.3%) and Senegal/Senegal (2.6%). Overall, HU t.eat.ent.was successful in all haplot.pes wit. 12 out.of 39 pat.ent. failing t.eat.ent.aft.r 12 mont.s in t.e Benin haplot.pe group. t.e associat.on bet.een HU t.eat.ent.success and t.e Benin haplot.pe was found in t.rms of t.e decrease in t.e number of whit. blood cells and t.e st.dent. missing class. Conclusion: t.e st.dy revealed t.at.inferring haplot.pe based on t.e phenot.pic profile could be inaccurat.. t.e proport.on of at.pical haplot.pe t.at.were not.previously described in Côt. d’Ivoire was high. All t.e haplot.pes seemed t. be associat.d wit. HU t.eat.ent.success but.some pat.ent. wit. Benin haplot.pe did not.respond well.

Background: t.e incidence of int.acranial met.st.ses (ICMEt. has been st.adily rising, and it. frequency wit. respect.t. primary brain t.mours is relat.vely high. Object.ve: t.e object.ves of t.is st.dy were t. elucidat. t.e current.epidemiology and describe t.e clinical, diagnost.c and t.erapeut.c feat.res of ICMEt.in Yaounde. Met.od and findings: A descript.ve cross-sect.onal st.dy was done in t.e neurosurgery depart.ent. of t.e General and Cent.al Hospit.ls of Yaounde during t.e period from January 2016 t. December 2022. We included all medical booklet. of pat.ent. admit.ed for a t.moral int.acranial expansive process wit. our t.rget.populat.on being pat.ent. wit. hist.logical evidence of ICMEt. and did a ret.ospect.ve inclusion of dat. using a pre-est.blished t.chnical form aimed at.collect.ng sociodemographic dat., clinical dat., paraclinical dat., and t.e t.eat.ent.procedures. Analysis was done using t.e SPSS st.t.st.cal soft.are. A t.t.l of 614 cases of int.acranial t.mors were included among whom 35 present.d hist.logical evidence of ICMEt. t.is gives a frequency of 5.7%. t.e sex rat.o was 0.94, t.e mean age was 55.68 +/- 14.4 years, ext.emes 28 and 86 years and t.e age range 50 - 59 was affect.d in 28.57% of cases. t.e clinical present.t.on included signs of raised int.acranial pressure (headache, blurred vision, vomit.ng) in 26 cases (74.3%), mot.r deficit.48.6%, seizures 17.1%. t.e mode of onset.was met.chronous in 71.4% and synchronous in 28.6%. t.e imaging t.chniques were cerebral Ct.scan in 82.9%, cerebral MRI in 40%, t.P scan in 22.9%. t.e met.st.t.c lesions were suprat.nt.rial in 94.3% and single in 62.9%. t.e primary cancers found were breast.cancer (31.4%), lung cancer (25.7%), prost.t. cancer (17.1%), t.yroid cancer (5.7%), colon cancer (2.9%), and melanoma (2.9%). t.e t.erapeut.c modalit.es were t.t.l resect.on (68.6%), radiot.erapy (37.1%). 发展服务型制造、推动生产性服务和制造业融合是供给侧结构性改革的战略选择。从京津沪渝四个直辖市和粤鲁苏浙四个较为发达省份综合来看,制造业与生产性服务业之间存在着一定的关联效应和协同发展趋势,同时存在省市之间、行业之间的分异特征,且生产性服务业整体规模还与工业发展需求不相适应,表现在规模上其对工业的前向关联效应较弱。当然,近期呈现出生产性服务业在增长速度上与工业增速高度相关的发展态势。为更好实现生产性服务业与制造业融合协同发展,我国在服务业供给侧结构性改革进程中要转变制造业和服务业传统“二分法”思维,确立生产性服务业优先发展地位,着力推进研发性服务业高质量发展、坚守健康底线推进环保等高增长领域先行发展和坚持规模化导向推进商务服务业发展。
