Alkali feldspar syenites with shoshonitic affinities from Chhotaudepur area: Implication for mantle metasomatism in the Deccan large igneous province

Two petrologically distinct alkali feldspar syenite bodies （AFS-1 and AFS-2） from Chhotaudepur area, Deccan Large Igneous Province are reported in the present work. AFS-1 is characterized by hypidio-morphic texture and consists of feldspar （Or55Ab43 to Or25Ab71）, ferro-pargasite/ferro-pargasite horn-blende, hastingsite, pyroxene （Wo47, En5, Fs46）, magnetite and biotite. AFS-2 exhibits panidiomorphic texture with euhedral pyroxene （Wo47-50, En22-39, Fs12e31） set in a groundmass matrix of alkali feldspar （Or99Ab0.77 to Or1.33Ab98）, titanite and magnetite. In comparison to AFS-1, higher elemental concentra-tions of Ba, Sr and PREE are observed in AFS-2. The average peralkaline index of the alkali feldspar syenites is w1 indicating their alkaline nature. Variation discrimination diagrams involving major and trace elements and their ratios demonstrate that these alkali feldspar syenites have a shoshonite affinity but emplaced in a within-plate and rifting environment. No evidence of crustal contamination is perceptible in the multi-element primitive mantle normalized diagram as well as in terms of trace elemental ratios. The enrichment of incompatible elements in the alkali feldspar syenites suggests the involvement of mantle metasomatism in their genesis.

IκB-ζsignaling promotes chondrocyte inflammatory phenotype,senescence,and erosive joint pathology

Osteoarthritis is a joint disease characterized by a poorly-defined inflammatory response that does not encompass a massive immune cell infiltration yet contributes to cartilage degradation and loss of joint mobility, suggesting a chondrocyte intrinsic inflammatory response. Using primary chondrocytes from joints of osteoarthritic mice and patients, we first show that these cells express ample pro-inflammatory markers and RANKL in an NF-κB dependent manner. The inflammatory phenotype of chondrocytes was recapitulated by exposure of chondrocytes to IL-1β and bone particles, which were used to model bone matrix breakdown products revealed to be present in synovial fluid of OA patients, albeit their role was not defined. We further show that bone particles and IL-1β can promote senescent and apoptotic changes in primary chondrocytes due to oxidative stress from various cellular sources such as the mitochondria. Finally, we provide evidence that inflammation, oxidative stress and senescence converge upon IκB-ζ, the principal mediator downstream of NF-κB, which regulates expression of RANKL, inflammatory, catabolic,and SASP genes. Overall, this work highlights the capacity and mechanisms by which inflammatory cues, primarily joint degradation products, i.e., bone matrix particles in concert with IL-1β in the joint microenvironment, program chondrocytes into an “inflammatory phenotype” which inflects local tissue damage.

A multiple power quality(MPQ)disturbance has two or more power quality(PQ)disturbances superimposed on a voltage signal.A compact and robust technique is required to identify and classify the MPQ *** manuscript investigated a hybrid algorithm which is designed using parallel processing of voltage with multiple power quality(MPQ)disturbance using stockwell transform(ST)and hilbert transform(HT).This will reduce the computational time to identify theMPQdisturbances,whichmakes the algorithm fast.A MPQ identification index(IPI)is computed using statistical features extracted from the voltage signal using the ST and *** has different patterns for various types of MPQ disturbances which effectively identify the MPQ disturbances.A MPQ time location index(IPL)is computed using the features extracted from the voltage signal using ST and *** effectively identifies the initiation and end of PQ disturbances and thereby locates the MPQ events with respect to *** of MPQ disturbances is performed using decision rules in both the noise-free and noisy environments with a 20 dB noise to signal ratio(SNR).The performance of the proposed hybrid algorithm using ST and HT with rule-based decision tree(RBDT)is better compared to the ST and RBDT techniques in terms of accuracy of classification of MPQ *** software is used to perform the study.

Atrophic fracture nonunion poses a significant clinical problem with limited therapeutic *** this study,we developed a unique nonunion model with high clinical relevance using serum transfer-induced rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Arthritic mice displayed fracture nonunion with the absence of fracture callus,diminished angiogenesis and fibrotic scar tissue formation leading to the failure of biomechanical properties,representing the major manifestations of atrophic nonunion in the ***,we demonstrated that the angiogenesis defect observed in RA mice was due to the downregulation of SPP1 and CXCL12 in chondrocytes,as evidenced by the restoration of angiogenesis upon SPP1 and CXCL12 treatment in *** this regard,we developed a biodegradable scaffold loaded with SPP1 and CXCL12,which displayed a beneficial effect on angiogenesis and fracture repair in mice despite the presence of ***,these findings strongly suggest that the sustained release of SPP1 and CXCL12 represents an effective therapeutic approach to treat impaired angiogenesis and fracture nonunion under inflammatory conditions.

Robots in the medical industry are becoming more common in daily life because of various advantages such as quick response,less human interference,high dependability,improved hygiene,and reduced aging *** is why,in recent years,robotic aid has emerged as a blossoming solution to many challenges in the medical *** this manuscript,meta-heuristics(MH)algorithms,specifically the Firefly Algorithm(FF)and Genetic Algorithm(GA),are applied to tune PID controller constraints such as Proportional gain Kp Integral gain Ki and Derivative gain *** controller is used to control Mobile Robot System(MRS)at the required set *** FF arrangements are made based on various pre-analysis.A detailed simulation study indicates that the proposed PID controller tuned with Firefly Algorithm(FF-PID)for MRSis beneficial and suitable to achieve desired closed-loop system *** FF is touted as providing an easy,reliable,and efficient tuning technique for PID *** most suitable ideal performance is accomplished with FF-PID,according to the display in the time ***,the observed response is compared to those received by applying GA and conventional off-line tuning *** comparison of all tuning methods exhibits supremacy of FF-PID tuning of the given nonlinear Mobile Robot System than GA-PID tuning and conventional controller.

Voltage profile generation for simultaneous multi-protein detection in western blot analysis

Western blotting is a popular technique for examining expression levels of proteins using gel-based electrophoretic fractionation followed by blotting and antibody reactions. Although this is a mature technique, one of the major limitations is the need to prepare an individual electrophoretic gel for each of the protein species to be analyzed. Since most analyses require the detection of multiple protein species, a procedure that allows utilization of a single gel for detecting multiple protein species should significantly save time and resources. In this paper, we developed a novel multiprotein detection device, which enabled simultaneous detection of several proteins species from a single electrophoretic gel. In this device, a protein transfer unit utilized a multi-anode plate that generated a non-uniform voltage profile. This voltage profile enabled uniform transfer regardless of molecular mass of proteins. In vitro experiments using samples, isolated from boneforming osteoblast cells, showed that the expression levels of 5 - 7 different proteins were detectable in the presence and absence of mechanical stimulation that activated genes necessary for bone formation. The result supports the notion that through simultaneous detection of multiple protein species, the described device contributes to reduction in procedural time and sample amounts, as well as a removal of variations among multiple gels.

目的:应用Meta分析的方法对比米索前列醇与Foley尿管水囊治疗足月引产效果,进而指导临床的治疗。方法:计算机检索PubMed,MEDLINE,Cochrane Library Databases and Embase数据库,检索时间从建库到2018年3月止。收集期间公开发表的关于米索前列醇与Foley尿管水囊治疗足月引产效果对比的文献,由两位研究员独立依照纳入和排除标准筛选文献、提取数据和进行文献质量评估后,利用Review Manager 5.3统计软件进行Meta分析。结果:共纳入13篇文献,涉及4182例患者,其中米索前列醇组2096例,Foley尿管水囊组2186例。分析结果显示米索前列醇组与Foley尿管水囊组相比,剖宫产率减少(OR=0.76,95%CI=0.66~0.88,P=0.0002),阴道分娩率增加(OR=1.32,95%CI=1.14~1.52,P=0.0002)。然而,子宫收缩过频发生率(OR=5.21,95%CI=2.68~10.11,P<0.00001)、子宫过度刺激发生率(OR=3.06,95%CI=1.20~7.75,P=0.02)均高于Foley尿管水囊组;引产至分娩时(MD=-2.00,95%CI=-5.00~1.00,P=0.19),新生儿出生体重MD=-35.68,95%CI=-112.20~40.83,P=0.36),出生1min时Apgar评分小于7分发生率(OR=1.06,95%CI=0.78~1.43,P=0.72),出生5min时Apgar评分小于7分发生率(OR=1.30,95%CI=0.81~2.11,P=0.28),两组均无差异。结论:Meta分析结果表明米索前列醇可能减少剖宫产率,但会引起子宫收缩过频及过度刺激等并发症,仍需高质量研究来指导临床。
