Lighting is crucial for portrait photography,yet the complex interactions between the skin and incident light are expensive to model computationally in graphics and difficult to reconstruct analytically via computer ***,to allow fast and controllable reflectance and lighting editing,we developed a physically based decomposition through deep learned priors from path-traced portrait *** approaches that used simplified material models or low-frequency or low-dynamic-range lighting struggled to model specular reflections or relight directly without intermediate ***,we estimate the surface normal,skin albedo and roughness,and high-frequency HDRI maps,and propose an architecture to estimate both diffuse and specular reflectance *** our experiments,we show that this approach can represent the true appearance function more effectively than simpler baseline methods,leading to better generalization and higher-quality editing.

Machine learning and artificial intelligence approaches have rapidly gained popularity for use in many subsurface energy *** are seen as novel methods that may enhance existing capabilities,providing for improved efficiency in exploration and production ***,their inte-gration into reservoir management workflows may shape the future landscape of the energy *** study implements a framework that generates predictive models using multiple machine learning classification-based algorithms which can identify specific stratigraphic units(i.e.,formations)as a function of total vertical depth and spatial *** framework is applied in a case study to 13 specific formations of interest(Upper Spraberry through Atoka/Morrow reservoirs)in the Midland Basin,West Texas,United States;a prominent hydrocarbon producing sub-basin of the larger Permian *** study dataset consists of over 275,000 records and includes data fields like formation iden-tifier,true vertical depth(in feet)of formations observed,and latitude and longitude coordinates(in decimal degrees).A subset of 134,374 data records were relevant to the 13 distinct formations of interest and were extracted and used for machine learning model training,validation,and *** super-vised learning approaches including random forest(RF),gradient boosting(GB),support vector machine(SVM),and multilayer perceptron neural network(MLP)were evaluated and their prediction accuracy *** best performing model was ultimately built on the RF algorithm and is capable of an overall prediction accuracy of 93 percent on holdout *** RF-based model demonstrated high prediction accuracy for major oil and gas producing zones including the San Andres,Upper Spraberry,Lower Spraberry,Clearfork,and Wolfcamp at 98,94,89,94,and 94 percent ***,the resulting data-driven model provides a robust,cost-effective approach which can complement contemporary reservoir manag

Objective:To evaluate the immunostimulatory potential of crossreactive molecule heat shock protein 60(HSP60)of filarial parasite Brugia malayi and Leishmania ***:HSP60 of Brugia malayi(BmHSP60)was amplified using gene-specific primer,cloned in p Tri Ex4 vector,expressed in BL21-DE3 cells,and recombinant HSP60(rHSP60)of~65 k Da was purified by affinity chromatography using Ni-NTA *** recombinant protein was desalted by the dialysis membrane,and the presence of endotoxin level was determined by Limulus amebocyte lysate *** recombinant protein was tested for cell proliferation,nitric oxide release,expression of Th1 and Th2 cytokines,and transcription factors(STATs)in vitro using murine macrophage cell line(J774 A.1).Results:Higher cell proliferation indicated that BmHSP60 had immunostimulatory ***60 exposure upregulated the expression of iNOS,STAT1,STAT4,Th1 cytokines(IFN-γ,TNF-α,IL-12),and nitric oxide *** addition,no remarkable change was observed in the expression of IL-6,IL-10,and STAT3 in macrophage cell line J774 *** ELISA analysis showed the levels of IFN-γ,TNF-α,and IL-12 were upregulated while IL-10 level was downregulated,revealing that BmHSP60 triggered a Th1 immune ***:Our study demonstrates that rBmHSP60 has immunogenic properties which effectively enhances the Th1 type immune responses,and can be used as an immunoprophylactic agent against ***,in vivo studies are in progress to determine the protective role of rBmHSP60 against Leishmania donovani infection in a mouse model.

A lossy mode resonance(LMR)-supported fiber optic sensor in which a uniform fiber core is placed among two identical tapered regions, is investigated numerically. Indium tin oxide(ITO)and aluminum-doped zinc oxide(AZO) are considered as LMR active materials used to excite several lossy modes and gold and silver are used as surface plasmon resonance(SPR) active materials. In this probe design, a central uniform core coated with ITO/AZO is the active sensing region, whereas tapered regions are meant for bringing the incident angle close to the critical angle. The sensitivity of the present fiber optic bio-sensor is evaluated for first two LMRs utilizing both ITO and AZO separately, along with its variation with the taper ratio(TR). For ITO, the maximum sensitivity values are observed to be 18.425 μm RIU^(-1)(refractive index unit)and 0.825 μm RIU^(-1), corresponding to the first and second LMRs, respectively, at a TR of 1.6 and for AZO, equivalent values are 0.79 μm RIU^(-1) and 0.35 μm RIU^(-1), respectively, at a TR of2.0. The results illustrate that the first LMR is more sensitive than the second LMR and the ITOcoated probe possesses greater sensitivity than the AZO-coated probe for both LMRs. Similarly,for the fiber optic SPR sensor, the maximum value of sensitivity is 5.6425 μm RIU^(-1), in the case of gold and 5.0615 μm RIU^(-1) in the case of silver, at a TR of 1.6. Hence, the result shows that the sensor with the present fiber optic probe design has around a 3-fold enhancement in sensitivity compared with conventional SPR sensors. This study will have applications in many sensing schemes where the requirement of large sensitivity is vital.

The effects of the stabilizing agent on the structural and luminescence properties of cadmium sulfide(CdS)nanocrystals have been *** were prepared by chemical precipitation method using sodium hexametaphosphate(SHMP)and polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP).The structural and optical properties have been studied by X-ray diffraction(XRD),ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)absorption,photoluminescence(PL)and Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)*** patterns confirm the presence of cubic zinc blend crystal structure with space group *** results show the variation in crystallite size with change in *** shift in absorption edge as compared to bulk CdS is *** results represent broad and very intense red emission with smaller particle size due to modification of surface emitting states with surfactant.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of short-term and long-term immunization of recombinant disorganized muscle protein-1(r DIM-1) in rodents against human filarial parasite Brugia ***: Recombinant Brugia malayi DIM-1(rDIM-1 bm) protein was cloned, expressed and purified using a Ni-NTA affinity column. Mastomys coucha were immunized with rDIM-1 bm in three immunization schedules: short-term(3-dose of rDIM-1 bm), and long-term(booster doses till 3-and 6-week) and subsequently challenged with infective third-stage larvae of filarial parasite Brugia malayi(L3). Microfilaraemia was monitored in L3 exposed groups on day 90 post larval inoculation(p.l.i.) and continued till day 205 p.l.i. On day 205 p.l.i. all the infected animals were killed and total worm burden was estimated. Cellular proliferative response, macrophage activity, nitric oxide(NO) release, specific IgG and its subtypes, IgE, IgA and Th1(IFN-γ, TNF-ααand IL-2) and Th2(IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-10 and IL-13) cytokine release were determined. Results: Of the 3 different immunization schedules, shortterm immunization(3-dose schedule) showed better reduction in microfilarial burden(36%-63%) in the peripheral circulation, adult worm load(52%), whereas long-term immunization(3-and 6-week schedule) exerted less effect on peripheral microfilariae count(9%-58%), and adult worm burden(9%-12.5%). Short-term immunization resulted in upregulation of cellular proliferation, macrophages activity, NO release, specific IgG, IgG1, IgG2 a, Ig G2 b, IgE and IgA levels and both Th1(IFN-γ, TNF-α and IL-2) and Th2(IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-10 and IL-13) cytokine release whereas long-term immunization(3-and 6-week schedule) exerted less effect on parasite burden and showed mixed immunological responses. None of the rDIM-1 bm administration schedules induced any pathology in lymphoid tissues, or alteration in mast cell number and granularity.
