While the FAIR Principles do not specify a technical solution for'FAIRness',it was clear from the outset of the FAIR initiative that it would be useful to have commodity software and tooling that would simplify the creation of FAIR-compliant *** FAIR Data Point is a metadata repository that follows the DCAT(2)schema,and utilizes the Linked Data Platform to manage the hierarchical metadata layers as LDP *** has been a recent flurry of development activity around the FAIR Data Point that has significantly improved its power and *** we describe five specific tools—an installer,a loader,two Webbased interfaces,and an indexer-aimed at maximizing the uptake and utility of the FAIR Data Point.

We deal with the Fourier-like analysis of functions on discrete grids in two-dimensional simplexes using C- and E-Weyl group orbit functions. For these cases, we present the convolution theorem. We provide an example of application of image processing using the C-functions and the convolutions for spatial filtering of the treated image.

Silver fir tree-ring fluctuations decrease from north to south latitude—total solar irradiance and NAO are indicated as the main influencing factors

The paper proposes a SoundMeGood trust model being able to establish a preliminary trust level among unknown users in a distributed environment. Computation of preliminary level of trust is based on similarities among users based on various components of their profiles. As a metric used for similarity computation has been used and experimentally evaluated DTW* algorithm.

Silver fir(Abies alba Mill.)is a flexible European tree species,mainly vegetating within the mountainous regions of Europe,but its growth responses across its latitudinal and longitudinal range have not yet been satisfactorily verified under changing environmental *** study describes the tree-ring increment of silver fir in research plots across a latitudinal gradient from the northern range in Czechia(CZ),through Croatia(HR)to the southernmost range in Italy(IT).The research aims to analyze in detail the dynamics and cyclicity of the ringwidth index(RWI)and how it relates to climatic factors(temperature and precipitation),the North Atlantic Oscillation(NAO),and total solar irradiance(TSI),including the determination of *** results show that the main drivers affecting fir growth are the seasonal NAO index and *** temperatures affect RWI early in the vegetation season,while lack of precipitation during the summer is a limiting factor for fir growth,especially in *** temperatures and temperatures in June and July negatively impact,while seasonal precipitation totals in the same months positively influence the RWI in all research plots across *** longest growth cycles in fir RWI were recorded in the northernmost studied plots in *** cyclical fluctuations recede approaching the *** cyclic increase in RWI is related to the TSI,which decreases its effect from north to *** TSI's effects vary,positively impacting CZ but negatively influencing HR while remaining relatively neutral in *** the other hand,seasonal NAO tends to negatively affect silver fir growth in HR and CZ but has a mildly positive effect in *** conclusion,the TSI and the influence of the seasonal NAO index are prevalent in the fir RWI and are accompanied by a greater cyclicity of RWI in Central Europe(temperature optimum)than in the Italian Mediterranean region,where this tree species is limited by climatic conditions,especially lack of pre

This work explores ceramic additive manufacturing in combination with liquid metal infiltration for the production of degradable interpenetrating phase magnesium/hydroxyapatite(Mg/HA) composites. Material extrusion additive manufacturing was used to produce stoichiometric,and calcium deficient HA preforms with a well-controlled open pore network, allowing the customization of the topological relationship of the composite. Pure Mg and two different Mg alloys were used to infiltrate the preforms by means of an advanced liquid infiltration method inspired by spark plasma sintering, using a novel die design to avoid the structural collapse of the preform. Complete infiltration was achieved in 8 min, including the time for the Mg melting. The short processing time enabled to restrict the decomposition of HA due to the reducing capacity of liquid Mg. The pure Mg-base composites showed compressive yield strength above pure Mg in cast state. Mg alloy-based composites did not show higher strength than the bare alloys due to grain coarsening, but showed similar mechanical properties than other Mg/HA composites that have significantly higher fraction of metallic phase. The composites showed faster degradation rate under simulated body conditions than the bare metallic component due to the formation of galvanic pairs at microstructural level. Mg dissolved preferentially over HA leaving behind a scaffold after a prolonged degradation period. In turn, the fast production of soluble degradation products caused cell metabolic changes after 24 h of culture with not-diluted material extracts. The topological optimization and reduction of the degradation rate are the topics for future research.

Introduction: To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of Gla-300 units/mL (Gla-300) in the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) uncontrolled by basal insulin in real-life clinical settings in the Czech Republic (TOPAZ study). Methods: TOPAZ was a prospective, multi-center, non-interventional, 6-month study. Of the 312 patients screened, 289 were evaluated at month 6. The primary objective was the change of HbA1c after 6 months. The proportion of patients with HbA1c Results: HbA1c decreased significantly after 6 months (mean change 0.9% ± 1.1% DCCT [−9.9 ± 11.6 mmol/mol], p −1.8 ± 3.1 mmol/L) as well as the incidence of hypoglycemia decreased by 49% (p 0.0001) while no weight gain was observed. No significant safety signals were identified.

Permeability of coatings for water and water vapor is an important factor in their wood protective *** this study,the permeability of coatings in terms of liquid water and water vapor absorption and desorption was measured based on different parts of the standard EN *** study evaluated the permeability of commercial coating systems and ascertained effects of coating layering on the coating *** this measurement,six different waterborne acrylate dispersions were used as paint on spruce test *** results clearly revealed that liquid water and water vapor uptake were affected by coating film thickness,number of coats,and coating composition(producer).It was ascertained that the type of coating pigmentation affected water absorption of coatings and that with a constant coating film thickness,the number of coats affected water vapor absorption and desorption,but not water ***,it was observed that the number of coats affected the cor-relation between the coating film thickness and water vapor absorption and *** values for water vapor absorption were much higher than for liquid water absorption and,unlike the water vapor absorption rate,the water vapor desorption rate was approximately 50%lower.

Thermoelectric properties of Ce0.09Fe0.67Co3.33Sb12/FeSb2.1Te multi-layered structures with period of 5 nm were studied in temperature ranging from 300 K to 500 K. Structures were prepared by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) on fused sili- ca quartz glass substrates at the substrate temperature during the deposition Ts = 230°C and Ts = 250°C with the laser beam energy density Ds = 3 Jcm-2. In the contribution temperature dependencies of the in-plane electrical conductivity, the Seebeck coefficient and the resultant power factor together with room temperature value of thermoelectric figure of merit are presented.
