Redislocation Following Zigzag Osteotomy Combined with Fibular Allograt for Dislocation of the Hip in Children

We have reviewed 17 patients (18 hips) who required repeated open reduction for recurrent or persistent dislocation after a previous attempt at zigzag osteotomy combined with fibular allowgraft for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH). The purposes of this study were to examine predictors of redislocation and to evaluate the long-term outcomes after revision surgery. The mean age at primary open reduction was 24 months (13 to 36). The median time to the recognition of failure was 4.6 months. The second reduction was performed at a mean age of 26.3 months (17 to 42) and the mean age at final follow-up was 79.7 months (58 to 105) and the mean time follow-up was 42.4 months (37 to 76). We treated the hips with a new open reduction through an anteromedial approach. A constricted anteromedial capsule was always found as the main factor;all had an intact anteromedial capsule, and there was an inverted transverse ligament in five cases and a very tight psoas tendon in another four cases, eversion of the limbus in six cases, densing anterior capsule in five cases. We perform with the condition that all hips were cleared of scar tissue;five hips had adductor tenotomy;four hips required release of the psoas tendon, five eversion of the limbus. Release of the transverse ligament was required in five cases each. All hips with Kirschner wire through the femoral head into the acetabulum. Three hips required femoral shortening (average of 1.5 cm);a derotation varus osteotomy was performed in two hips from ten and twelve weeks after repeated open reduction. Postoperative results according to modified McKay criteria for clinical: excellent: 3 of 18 hips (16.7%);good: 8 of 18 hips (44.4%);fair: 6 of 18 hips (33.3%);and poor: 1 of 18 hips (5.6%). We suggest that technical failure is usually the cause for redislocation with all that has an intact anteromedial capsule. There was an inverted transverse ligament, tight psoas tendon, eversion of the limbus, and densing anterior capsule

Influencing Factors on Customers’ Decision to Visit Agritourism Farms: A Case Study in viet Nam

The research analyzes the factors affecting the tourists’ decision to visit agricultural farms in Thai nguyen province. Three hundred tourists from 10 agritourism farms were surveyed, and the results showed that there are five factors affecting the decision of tourists in order of importance, including: “Motivation to travel” has the greatest influence with the coefficient β = 0.290, followed by “Destination image” with the coefficient β = 0.288, the factor “Destination information” with the coefficient β = 0.247 and the group “Other motives” with the coefficient β = 0.229. The factor group, “Infrastructure of the destination”, has the lowest influence with the coefficient β = 0.166. Therefore, solutions to promote the development of agricultural tourism in Thai nguyen need to pay attention and guide people to cultivate organically, preserve the environment and natural landscape, and create unique experiences for visitors. Authorities, local people, and travel agencies need to have seminars, develop specific agricultural tourism products, and apply information technology in advertising destination images to tourists.

Assessment of Post-Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Pain at viet Duc Hospital, vietnam

Gallstones are common and costly in the world. This disease also have high health burden with high mortality. Currently, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy has become a gold standard for surgical treatment of symptomatic gallstones. Pain is usually the first concern after surgery. Postoperative pain decreases with time but it is severe enough to interfere with daily activities of patients. Pain after the surgery is also affected by many factors. This cross-sectional study aimed to 1) assess pain intensity and interference pain with daily activities;2) describe the association between pain intensity and interference with daily activities of patients;3) explore factors that influence post-operative pain after Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. Data were collected by 50 patients who were undergoing Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy completed questionnaire including the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and the Brief Pain Inventory (BPI). Data were analyzed based on three aims. As this is the first time that this type of study is conducted in vietnam, it is expected that the results will contribute significantly to local knowledge and should add to global perspectives. From understanding the factors that affect severity of pain, this study is expected to design nursing intervention strategies to improve daily activities among patients undergoing LC.

Asymptotic behavior of the scattering amplitude for two scalar particles at high energy and fixed momentum transfer is reconsidered in quantum field theory. In the framework of the quasi-potential approach and the modified perturbation theory, a systematic scheme for finding the leading eikonal scattering amplitudes and its corrections are developed and constructed. The differential cross section is also discussed.

We describe a new species,Microh yla hongiaoensis ***.,from Lam Dong Province,southern vietnam based on morphological data and molecular *** new species is sister to *** by molecular phylogenetics and also most closely resembles *** in morphological characteristics,albeit differs from its congeners by a combination of the following morphological features:(1)size medium(SVL 13.6-14.7 mm in males and 18.3-18.6 mm in females);(2)fingers Ⅱ-Ⅳ with small disks,dorsal surface of disks,without median longitudinal groove;(3)webbing formula Ⅰ11/2 Ⅱ1-2 Ⅲ1-21/2Ⅳ21/4-1 Ⅴ;(4)toe disks with dorsal median longitudinal groove;(5)dorsal back without two small black spots;(6)one small black spot adjacent behind the eyes;(7)few small black scapular spots in the flanks-belly and inguinal region;(8)palm with two small metatarsal tubercles;(9)tibiotarsal reaching beyond *** *** in evergreen montane tropical forests at an elevation of 1500 m a.s.l.

Households’ Willingness-to-Pay to Reduce the Use of Plastic Bags: Case Study in viet Nam

This study used the Binary Logistic regression model to estimate the willingness to pay (WTP) to reduce the use of plastic bags in the daily life of people in the Linh Nam ward. This study notes that households with higher incomes and higher levels of education tend to be more willing to pay. In addition, those who do not have access to information about the harmful effects of plastic bags and receive a higher proposed price often refuse to pay.

Prevalence of metabolic syndrome in adults in Khanh Hoa,viet Nam

Background The metabolic syndrome (MS) is characterized by a specific clustering of risk factors, including dyslipidemia, central adiposity, systemic hypertension, insulin resistance, and dysglycemia. It is associated with an increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD). Accurate data on prevalence and characteristics of MS will facilitate the development of preventive strategies for CVD. Objective To estimate accurately the prevalence of MS among vietnamese adults with the usual criteria or with the criteria modified for Asian populations. Design and methods We studied a representative, cross-sectional, population-based sample of 856 subjects (mean age 52.82 ± 16.36) classified in three age groups from 15-34 years, 35-54 years and ＞ 54 years of age, living in Khanh Hoa Province, viet Nam. MS was diagnosed according to the criteria defined by the Third Report of the National Cholesterol Education Program Expect Panel on Detection, Evaluation and Treatment of High Blood Cholesterol in Adults (Adult Treatment Panel Ⅲ) (NCEP-ATP Ⅲ) and by the modified criteria for some Asian populations in which the waist circumference (WC) is considered abnormal if it is ＞ 90 cm for males and ＞ 80 cm for *** Using the NCEP-ATP Ⅲ criteria, the prevalence of MS in the studied population was 10.0％ (CI 95 ％:8.1-12.3). It was 2.4 ％ in the 15-34 age group (men 4.5％ and women 1.2％),5.2％ (men 6.3％,women 4.5％ ) in 35-54 age group and 15.8％ (men 9.7％, women 21.7％) in over 54 age group, respectively. And it was more common in women than in men (11.7％ vs 8.0％, P ＜0.001). Using 2001 population census data of the whole province over 15 years (695 218 habitants) we estimated that about 35 193 people suffered from the *** WC was the least common feature of MS (2.1％ for men and in 6.1％ for women).Overall,45.2 ％ of the studied population had one feature of MS, 23.1％ had two features, 8.2％ had three features, 1.6％ had four features, and 0.2％ had all five features. Morphology of the ^(13)CO(3–2) millimetre emission across the gas disc surrounding the triple protostar GG Tau A using ALMA observations

Observations by the Atacama Large Millimetre/sub-millimetre Array of the dust continuum and ^13 CO（3–2） millimetre emissions of the triple stellar system GG Tau A are analysed,giving evidence for a rotating gas disc and a concentric and coplanar dust ring. The present work complements an earlier analysis（Tang et al.） by exploring detailed properties of the gas disc. A 95% confidence level upper limit of 0.24＂（34 au） is placed on the disc scale height at a distance of 1＂（140 au） from the central stars. Evidence for Keplerian rotation of the gas disc is presented,with the rotation velocity reaching-3.1 km s^-1 at 1＂ from the central stars,and a 99% confidence level upper limit of 9% is placed on relative contribution from a possible in-fall velocity. Variations of the intensity across the disc area are studied in detail and confirm the presence of a hot spot in the south-eastern quadrant. However several other significant intensity variations,in particular a depression in the northern direction,are also revealed. Variations of the intensity are found to be positively correlated to variations of the line width. Possible contributions to the measured line width are reviewed,suggesting an increase of the disc temperature and opacity with decreasing distance from the stars.
