Biogenic palladium nanoparticles(bio-Pd nPs)are used for the reductive transformation and/or dehalogenation of persistent *** this work,H2(electron donor)was produced in situ by an electrochemical cell,permitting steered production of differently sized bio-Pd *** catalytic activity was first assessed by the degradation of methyl *** nPs showing the highest catalytic activity were selected for the removal of micropollutants from secondary treated municipal *** synthesis at different H2 flow rates(0.310 L/hr or 0.646 L/hr)influenced the bio-Pd nPs *** nPs produced over 6 hr at a lowH2 flow rate had a larger size(D50=39.0 nm)than those produced in 3 hr at a high H2 flow rate(D50=23.2 nm).Removal of 92.1%and 44.3%of methyl orange was obtained after 30 min for the nPs with sizes of 39.0 nm and 23.2 nm,***-Pd nPs of 39.0 nm were used to treat micropollutants present in secondary treated municipal wastewater at concentrations ranging fromμg/L to ng/*** removal of 8 compounds was observed:ibuprofen(69.5%)sulfamethoxazole(80.6%)naproxen(81.4%)semide(89.7%)nac(91.9%)statin(>94.3%)nated antibiotics occurred at>90%***,these data indicate that the size,and thus the catalytic activity of the nPs can be steered and that the removal of challengingmicropollutants at environmentally relevant concentrations can be achieved through the use of bio-Pd nPs.

将吡咯衍生物单体(碘化n,n,n-三甲基-(2-吡咯-1-乙基))进行氧化聚合,合成水溶性聚吡咯衍生物,将该产物与V2O5溶胶混合,进行聚合物溶液插层反应,合成聚(n,n,n-三甲基-(2-吡咯-1-乙基))(PTPAI)/VXG复合薄膜。采用电化学阻抗谱(EIs)和循环伏安(CV)对其电学性能进行了测试。结果表明:该复合薄膜的等效电路为R1(Q1[R2W1]),Rs=160.215Ω,Rct=6278.86Ω,双电层电容CPE=1.73216×10-4F,离子迁移系数4.37×10-12cm2/s(-0.5V)。PTPAI提高了VXG的氧化还原电位,且出现另一个较小的氧化还原峰电位。

strong>Introduction:strong> To perform a Latin-American multicentric study for the prediction of benign and malignant thyroid nodules using Alpha score, and to compare it with ACR TIRADssup>®sup> and Bethesdasup>®sup>. strong>Materials and Methods:strong> A prospective multicentric study in 10 radiological hospitals and institutions of Latin America was performed and 818 thyroid nodules were analyzed by ultrasound and classified by using both ACR TIRADssup>®sup> and Alpha score;fine-needle aspiration biopsy was performed when needed and classified with Bethesda. The relationships between predictors were analyzed by using binary logistic regression, statistical significance was defined by a p-value of 0.05, with an error margin of 4% and 95% confidence intervals. strong>Results:strong> Alpha score 2.0 establishes five types of malignant predictors: microcalcifications, irregular borders, taller-than-wide shape, predominant solid texture and hypoechogenicity;a diameter equal to or greater than 1.5 cm adds an extra point to the final score. Resulting classification divides Tns into 4 categories: benign (1.9%), low suspicion (8.7%), mild suspicion (13.6%) and high suspicion (75.7%) of malignancy probability;sensitivity of 82%, specificity of 74%, the positive predictive value of 94%, the negative predictive value of 51%, the statistical accuracy of 81%, odds ratio of 108.89 and correlation with ACR TIRADs of 0.77 and Bethesda of 0.91.strong> Conclusions: strong>Alpha score 2.0 has superior diagnostic accuracy and performance compared to the previously published Alpha score and is able to classify a benign Tn in a precise, safe and accurate way, avoiding unnecessary FnABs or determining the necessity of FnAB in cases of moderate to high suspicion of malignancy.

Electrical Power Losses in a Photovoltaic solar Cell Operating under Partial shading Conditions

The aim of this paper is to determine the power losses recorded by a PV generator operating under partial shading conditions. These losses are evaluated through two distinct methods. The first method is based on mathematical modeling, while the second is based on simulink’s physical model. The losses recorded are considerable and increase as a function of the increase in the percentage of shading up to a limit value where they become constant in the case where an ideal by-pass diode is connected in parallel with the modules. This limit value is non-existent in the case where the bypass diode is not ideal, which in fact corresponds to the real model. However, it emerges that the power losses are minimized in a PV system comprising bypass diodes, in particular in the case where the partial shading is considerable.

Evaluation of the Physical Fitness of the Type 2 Diabetic Patients: A necessity for the Prescription of Adapted Physical Activity

Background: Diabetes mellitus and physical inactivity are modifiable risk factors for stroke. Physical activity is one of the pillars of type 2 diabetes management. The aim of this study was to evaluate the physical fitness of a sample of type 2 diabetes patients at the CHU of Martinique (UHCM). Patients and Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study, from 1st June to 30sup>thsup> september 2018. It consisted of the exhaustive prospective collection of data on the usual physical activity and physical fitness of type 2 diabetic patients hospitalized in the Endocrinology department of the UHCM for a short stay. The physical fitness tests of the French national Olympic and sports Committee, validated on 13 April 2013, were used. Results: Thirty patients were included in the study. The mean age was 51.9 ± 11 years. The sex ratio was 1.5, and hypertension in 53% (n = 16) of patients was the most associated risk factor. The median duration of diabetes progression was 4 years with Q1 and Q2 quantiles of 2 and 10 years, respectively. The physical fitness evaluation noted a balance disorder with a risk of falling in 56.7% (n = 17) of patients, muscle stiffness in 20% (n = 6) of them, while 56.7% (n = 17) and 80% (n = 24) had a decrease in the muscular strength of the upper and lower limbs, respectively. The distance covered during the standard 6 min walking test was normal for 70% (n = 21) of the patients. Conclusion: The evaluation of the patient’s physical fitness allows us to assess their deconditioning to physical activity and other obstacles to physical activity to plan appropriate interventions.

In order to evaluate how much Total solar Irradiance(TsI)has influenced northern Hemisphere surface air temperature trends,it is important to have reliable estimates of both *** different estimates of the changes in TsI since at least the 19th century were compiled from the *** of these estimates are"low variability"and half are"high variability".Meanwhile,five largely-independent methods for estimating northern Hemisphere temperature trends were evaluated using:1)only rural weather stations;2)all available stations whether urban or rural(the standard approach);3)only sea surface temperatures;4)tree-ring widths as temperature proxies;5)glacier length records as temperature *** standard estimates which use urban as well as rural stations were somewhat anomalous as they implied a much greater warming in recent decades than the other estimates,suggesting that urbanization bias might still be a problem in current global temperature datasets-despite the conclusions of some earlier ***,all five estimates confirm that it is currently warmer than the late 19th century,i.e.,there has been some"global warming"since the 19th *** each of the five estimates of northern Hemisphere temperatures,the contribution from direct solar forcing for all sixteen estimates of TsI was evaluated using simple linear least-squares *** role of human activity on recent warming was then calculated by fitting the residuals to the Un IPCC’s recommended"anthropogenic forcings"time *** all five northern Hemisphere temperature series,different TsI estimates suggest everything from no role for the sun in recent decades(implying that recent global warming is mostly human-caused)to most of the recent global warming being due to changes in solar activity(that is,that recent global warming is mostly natural).It appears that previous studies(including the most recent IPCC reports)which had prematurely concluded the former,had done so be

目的评价c-Jun氨基末端激酶（JnK）在大潮气量机械通气诱发兔肺泡巨噬细胞分泌IL-8和TnF-α中的作用.方法清洁级雄性新西兰白兔30只,体重210～260 g,随机分为3组（n=10）：正常对照组（C组）不予任何刺激;机械通气组（V组）大潮气量机械通气3 d,VT 15 ml/kg,I∶E 1∶2,RR 30～40次/min,PEEP 0;sB203580干预组（s组）大潮气量机械通气3 d,同时每天机械通气时静脉注射JnK特异性抑制剂（sB203580）6 mg/kg,通气参数同V组.采用ELIsA法检测支气管肺泡灌洗液中IL-8和TnF-α浓度,同时收集肺泡巨噬细胞,体外培养2 h后应用RT-PCR法检测IL-8 mRnA和TnF-α mRnA水平.结果与C组比较,V组TnF-α、TnF-α mRnA、IL-8、IL-8 mRnA水平升高（P＜0.05）.与V组比较,s组TnF-α和TnF-α mRnA水平降低（P＜0.01）,IL-8和IL-8 mRnA水平差异无统计学意义（P＞0.05）.结论 JnK信号转导通路在大潮气量机械通气诱发兔肺泡巨噬细胞分泌TnF-α过程中起重要作用,而不参与分泌IL-8的过程.
