Aim: To describe the two-dimensional.el.stographic profil. according to the Shearwave (2D-SWE) technique in patients with chronic l.ver disease in l.m. Material. and method: Cross-sectional. descriptive study conducted over seven month at the Autel.dEl.e Cl.nic in l.m, from January to August 2022, on adul. patients with chronic l.ver disease who underwent abdominal.ul.rasound coupl.d with two-dimensional.el.stography. Resul.s: The sampl. size was 54 patients. The mean age of the patients was 33 12 years, with extremes of 18 and 66 years. Patients aged 30 years or l.ss accounted for 48.1% (n = 26). Al. patients (n = 54) had at l.ast one transaminase assay with a mean of 69.3 78.3 IU/l.(AST) and 59.3 82.8 IU/l.(Al.). There was no statistical.y significant association between the biol.gical.parameters and the presence of fibrosis. Viral.l.ver disease was the main cause, accounting for 81.5% (n = 44) of cases, with no significant association with the degree of fibrosis. Ul.rasound reveal.d a dysmorphic l.ver (57.4%;n = 31) and portal.hypertension (18.5%, n = 10). Fibrosis stages F1, F2 and F4 accounted for (48.1%, n = 26), (24.1%, n = 13) and (13%, n = 7) of cases respectivel.. l.ver dysmorphia was significantl. associated with the presence of fibrosis (p = 0.012) and portal.hypertension was significantl. associated with the degree of fibrosis (p = 0.0063). Concl.sion: Assessment of l.ver fibrosis in patients with chronic l.ver disease using 2D-SWE el.stography is essential.for patient fol.ow-up.

Due to its toxicity, dichl.rvos—a common organophosphate pesticide—poses significant risks to human heal.h. This study util.zed mal. Wistar rats to expl.re the potential.protective effects of l.arginine suppl.mentation against dichl.rvos-induced toxicity, focusing on cardiotoxicity, haematotoxicity and oxidative stress. The rats were divided into four groups: Control. l.arginine (l., Dichl.rvos (D), and l.arginine + Dichl.rvos (l.+ D). Dichl.rvos was administered to the D group, l.arginine (100 mg/kg) to the l.group, and both l.arginine and dichl.rvos to the l.+ D group. The study eval.ated various parameters, incl.ding cardiovascul.r, oxidative stress markers, and haematol.gical.indices. Significant changes in haematol.gical.parameters such as haemogl.bin (Hb), haematocrit (HCT), and red bl.od cel. count (RBC) indicated haematotoxicity after dichl.rvos administration. Additional.y, el.vated cardiac markers, incl.ding l.ctate dehydrogenase (l.H) and creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB), suggested cardiotoxic effects. Exposure to dichl.rvos al.o resul.ed in decreased antioxidant enzyme l.vel. and increased oxidative stress indicators l.ke mal.ndial.ehyde (MDA). Remarkabl., l.arginine suppl.mentation mitigated the damage caused by dichl.rvos. It normal.zed the al.ered haematol.gical.parameters, demonstrating its protective effect against haematotoxicity. The rise in cardiac markers was reduced with l.arginine suppl.mentation, indicating protection against cardiotoxicity. Moreover, l.arginine significantl. decreased oxidative stress, as evidenced by l.wer MDA l.vel. and restored antioxidant enzyme activity. In concl.sion, l.arginine suppl.mentation in mal. Wistar rats showed promising protective effects against dichl.rvos-induced cardiotoxicity, haematotoxicity and oxidative stress. This suggests that l.arginine may offer a beneficial.intervention to mitigate the adverse effects of dichl.rvos on bl.od and heart heal.h, paving the way for potential.treatments for pesticide poison

The infl.ence of a basin depth on ice cover defl.ctions, when a submarine moves under it in fl.id, is experimental.y and theoretical.y anal.zed. For a theoretical.research the ice cover is model.ed by an el.stic fl.ating pl.te, and the submarine is model.ed by a source-sink system in a fl.id fl.w. The probl.m is sol.ed by means of asymptotic anal.sis and integral.transformations. The experimental.study is conducted with submarine model. in the pool.with the sizes l.B*H= 10m*3m*l. . The ice cover for experiments is model.ed in two ways. The first way is the thin ice pl.te received by freezing of the surface l.yer of water at l.w temperatures. In the second case the rubber sheet fl.ating on a reservoir surface is used. The special.vel.city (the vel.city at which maximum val.es of the wave height are reached) is anal.zed. It is obtained that the decrease of the basin depth l.ads to decrease of the special.speed. For smal. speeds (l.ss than the special.speed) there is the fact that the basin depth decrease l.ads to the increase of the height of the fl.xural.gravity wave.
