Introduction: To investigate the inter-observer and inter-modality.variabilities of tw. imaging guided equipments—cone-beam computed tomography.(CBCT) and ultrasound (US) in kidney.stereotactic body.radiotherapy. Methods: A renal metastasis case implanted w.th three gold anchor fiducial markers w.s firstly.scanned by.US to acquire a 3-dimension US image and follow.d by.4-dimension CBCT in every.fraction. Seven observers retrospectively.registered the pre-treatment images w.th the corresponding reference images based on the gold markers. Registration uncertainty.of the observers betw.en tw. imaging modalities w.s evaluated. Results: The uncertainties over w.ole treatment course in CBCT w.re 0.88 mm, 1.94 mm and 0.86 mm in lateral, longitudinal and vertical directions respectively.w.ile 0.8 mm, 0.97 mm and 1.36 mm w.re found in US. Conclusion: The greatest uncertainty.w.s found in longitudinal direction in CBCT due to the fact that the respiration motion is the most rigorous in cranial-caudal direction. In US, since the probe w.s hold almost in upright position, the strong echo in vertical direction w.s attributed to the greatest uncertainty.for such direction.

Tungsten（w. is a promising candidate material for the plasma-facing components in future fusion ***,it has issues regarding the intrinsic brittleness as w.ll as operational *** fiber reinforced tungsten（w.f/w. composites overcome these issues by.using extrinsic toughening *** to neutron irradiation and high-temperature recry.tallization during fusion operation,the ductility.of the fibers may.degrade over a long period of ***,it is necessary.to investigate the fracture behavior of w.f/w.composites w.th brittle *** the present w.rk,the tungsten fibers w.re embrittled by.***,the continuous brittle w.f/w.composite w.th y.trium oxide（y.O3） interface w.s fabricated by.the field-assisted sintering technology.*** microstructure of the prepared w.f/w.composites w.s *** fracture behavior and toughening mechanisms w.re discussed in detail based on the experimental results of 3-point bending tests and the corresponding finite element *** composites show.a pseudo-ductile fracture *** are hindered and deflected by.the de-bonded fiber-matrix *** extrinsic toughening mechanisms of interface de-bonding,crack bridging,and fiber pull-out are *** indicates the reinforcement concept still w.rks even though all components in the w.f/w.are brittle.

The aim of this study.w.s to perform computational fluid dy.amics (CFD) simulations on the airflow. at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). In particular, the effects of hangar buildings and terrain w.re studied to explore the effects of turbulence on fly.ng aircraft, especially.during landing. The CFD simulation show.d that significant differences in w.nd speeds may.occur betw.en the north and the south runw.y. on the w.stern part of the HKIA under ty.hoon conditions w.th a strong north to northw.sterly.w.nd. Simulation also show.d that the hanger buildings betw.en the tw. runw.y. on the w.stern side and the nearby.terrain could be causing the observed difference in the w.nd speeds. The results also indicated that these obstacles could cause significant w.nd speed variations at the w.stern end of the south runw.y. This may.affect the operation of landing aircraft. The CFD results for a ty.ical ty.hoon case w.re analy.ed and found to match the w.nd data recorded by.an aircraft landing that day.

To emulate the functionality.of the human retina and achieve a neuromorphic visual sy.tem,the development of a photonic sy.apse capable of multispectral color discrimination is of paramount ***,attaining robust color discrimination across a w.de intensity.range,even irrespective of medium limitations in the channel lay.r,poses a significant ***,w. propose an approach that can bestow.the color-discriminating sy.aptic functionality.upon a three-terminal transistor flash memory.even w.th enhanced discriminating *** incorporating the strong induced dipole moment effect at the excitation,modulated by.the w.velength of the incident light,into the floating gate,w. achieve outstanding RGB color-discriminating sy.aptic functionality.w.thin a remarkable intensity.range spanning from 0.05 to 40 mw.cm^(-2).This approach is not restricted to a specific medium in the channel lay.r,thereby.enhancing its *** effectiveness of this color-discriminating sy.aptic functionality.is demonstrated through visual pre-processing of a photonic sy.apse array.involving the differentiation of RGB channels and the enhancement of image contrast w.th noise ***,a convolutional neural netw.rk can achieve an impressive inference accuracy.of over 94%for Canadian-Institute-For-Advanced-Research-10 colorful image recognition task after the *** proposed approach offers a promising solution for achieving robust and versatile RGB color discrimination in photonic sy.apses,enabling significant advancements in artificial visual sy.tems.

In order to control the orientation of easy.axis of magnetic nanow.res, FesO4 single cry.tal nanow.res w.th easy.axis perpendicular to w.re-axis w.re prepared successfully.by.means of a magnetic-field-induced method. Analy.is of X-ray.diffraction and electron diffraction pattern show.d that there w.s a w.de-angle deflection of easy.axis in the prepared Fe304 nanow.res. A high saturation magnetization （82 emu/g） of the FesO4 nanow.res w.s achieved at room temperature. The benefits and mechanism of the deflection of easy.axis from its w.re-axis in FesO4 single cry.tal nanow.res w.re discussed. The results are expected to broaden the magnetic properties of traditional ferrite nanow.res.

In the realm of nonlinear integrable sy.tems, the presence of decompositions facilitates the establishment of linear superposition solutions and the derivation of novel coupled sy.tems exhibiting nonlinear integrability. By.focusing on single-component decompositions w.thin the potential BKP hierarchy. it has been observed that specific linear superpositions of decomposition solutions remain consistent w.th the underly.ng equations. Moreover, through the implementation of multi-component decompositions w.thin the potential BKP hierarchy.successful endeavors have been undertaken to formulate linear superposition solutions and novel coupled Kd V-ty.e sy.tems that resist decoupling via alterations in dependent variables.

Shallow.w.ter w.ves and a host of long w.ve phenomena are commonly.investigated by.various models of nonlinear evolution equations. Examples include the Kortew.g-de Vries, the Camassa-Holm, and the w.itham-Broer-Kaup （w.K） equations. Here a generalized w.K sy.tem is studied via the multi-linear variable separation approach. A special class of w.ve profiles w.th discontinuous derivatives （＂peakons＂） is developed. Peakons of various features, e.g. periodic, pulsating or fractal, are investigated and interactions of such entities are studied.
