In the context of current climate change, an abnormality of flooding is a common form of disaster in Vietnam. Hanh Stream reservoir has occurred great flood in 1986, 2010. In the future, the risk of flooding is possible to happen again. In view of management of the risk of natural disasters： large flooding situation downstream is one of the most dangerous risks for the reservoir. Due to downstream of Hanh Stream reservoir is a narrow coastal plains, quick infrastructure development, especially interwoven road and railway systems, so that flood drainage ability will be affected greatly. The consciousness of risks that may be occurred in the future in order to propose preventive measures and proactive response to minimize damages always is the requirement for all projects. The hydrodynamic calculation, flooding maps, emergency plan to prevent flooding downstream of Hanh Stream reservoir is also needed. The article is raised the issue of requirements to calculate coastal narrow delta strip flooding in the Central of Vietnam when impacted by the upstream reservoir of flood discharge in terms of extreme heavy rain and flooding and presented computational methods of Mike software package for case flooded plain of Cam Ranh Bay in downstream reservoirs of Hanh Stream, Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam.

Coverage Optimization of LTE Networks Based on Antenna Tilt Adjusting Considering Network Load

In this paper,we investigate the coverage optimization for LTE networks considering the network load. The network coverage is defined as the number of served users of evolved Node B(eNB)which is determined by e NBs' antenna tilt angles(ATA). The coverage is optimized by optimizing the number of served users based on the Modified Particle Swarm Optimization(MPSO)algorithm. Simulation results show that both the number of served users by each e NB and the system throughput are significantly increased. As well,the average load and the bandwidth efficiency of the network are improved.

The paper introduces a novel approach for detecting structural damage in full-scale structures using surrogate models generated from incomplete modal data and deep neural networks(DNNs).A significant challenge in this field is the limited availability of measurement data for full-scale structures,which is addressed in this paper by generating data sets using a reduced finite element(FE)model constructed by SAP2000 software and the MATLAB programming *** surrogate models are trained using response data obtained from the monitored structure through a limited number of measurement *** proposed approach involves training a single surrogate model that can quickly predict the location and severity of damage for all potential *** achieve the most generalized surrogate model,the study explores different types of layers and hyperparameters of the training algorithm and employs state-of-the-art techniques to avoid overfitting and to accelerate the training *** approach’s effectiveness,efficiency,and applicability are demonstrated by two numerical *** study also verifies the robustness of the proposed approach on data sets with sparse and noisy measured ***,the proposed approach is a promising alternative to traditional approaches that rely on FE model updating and optimization algorithms,which can be computationally *** approach also shows potential for broader applications in structural damage detection.

By analyzing the satellite images, topology map, geology map, geomorphology map, and field survey data, this study has determined the Cam Ranh-Tuy Phong fault in the South Central area, Viet Nam has NE-SW orientation and inclines to SE with high slope angle of 70-80°. During the Pliocene-Quaternary period, the Cam Ranh-Tuy Phong fault is left-lateral movement with the extension mechanisms, which formed the graben have an NE-SW orientation, deposited by Quaternary sediment. The fracture systems and fault are the channels for the mineral water and hot water to move up from the deep zone in the area of Cam Thinh Dong, Ha Nhi, Vinh Hao, Nha Me, Tuy Thinh..., and also to be the channels for the mud material, clay and underground water to move from below zone to the surface to form high mud mounds. The analytical results of clay mud have identified clay mineral composition to be main montmorilonit, illite, kaolinite, calcite, chlorite. The occurrence of montmorilonit minerals in this study area is characterized by the alkali-rich environment. The chemical composition of calcite is determined forming in the environment of with pH 〉 9, characterized by the add climates. Besides, other analytical results of clay mud also identified some minerals, such as： ankerite （Fe, Mg）CO3, calcite and some accessory minerals such as： fluorite, lepidocrokit with the participation hydrothermal process.

The results presented in this paper are a part of the research results of the thesis ＂research on scientific basis and practice of develop a system of monitoring the impacts of climate change on surface water and groundwater＂. Case study： Ma river basin in Vietnam. The results were implemented：（i） data collection, fieldwork survey, synthesis and analysis of information and data; （ii） partitioning the influence degree of climate change and sea level rise to groundwater; （iii） determining criteria to select monitoring routes, location of monitoring groundwater in the condition of climate change and sea level rise and （iv） developing the monitoring system. The research＇s results have practical implications for the water resources management in the context of climate change and sea level rise in Ma river basin.

Lithium aluminate (LiAlO2) powder was synthesized by sol-gel with EDTA method. The resultant powders were characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electronic Microscopy (SEM) techniques. In addition, several thermoluminescence properties of synthesized LiAlO2 powder were reported. The results from X-ray diffraction (XRD), the powder prepared by sol-gel with EDTA method showed pure γ-phase when it was calcined at >900°C. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results show that the size of the lithium aluminate particles depended strongly on calcination temperature. The linearity is observed of synthesized LiAlO2 powder by sol-gel with EDTA with regression coefficient (R2) is 0.9971.

Groundwater resources have considerable influences on the human population and socioeconomic development of Vietnam and the Mekong River Delta(MRD). This paper presents an overview of the relationship between climate change and groundwater in the MRD, including the challenges, strategies and technical measures. Our results showed that groundwater levels are related to other climate and hydrological variables(i.e., rainfall, river levels, etc.); therefore, the impacts of climate change on the groundwater resources of the Mekong delta are significant, especially on groundwater recharge. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that groundwater development in the future should focus on reducing groundwater harvesting, enhancing groundwater quantity by establishing artificial works and exploiting surface water. This study suggests that the Artificial Neural Network(ANN) model is an effective tool for forecasting groundwater levels in periods of 1 month and 3 months for aquifers in the natural and tidal regime areas of the delta.

A distributed conceptual model(FRASC(Flow Routed Accumulation Simulation in a Catchment))has been developed,in which a rainfall-runoff module is modified from an original lumped conceptual model(Xinanjiang)via a GIS(Geographic Information System)-aided approach and a water allocation module contains reservoirs,water users and hydropower *** model is relatively easy to use and can easily obtain input data,but still has the ability to generate hydrological information at many points within a *** model application to the Be River basin is evaluated and shows to be reliable in terms of close agreements between simulated and observed *** natural flow rates for 36 years are simulated at 7,981 grid cells within a studied area of 7,650 km^*** on this simulated database,design discharges are predicted in various ***,the research determines that the water transfer capacity from the Be River basin to the Saigon River basin reaches 14%,18% and 23% of a planned value of 75 m^3/s during the dry period in a wet year(P10%),average year(P50%)and dry year(P90%),respectively.

Soil organic carbon （SOC） pool has the potential to mitigate or enhance climate change by either acting as a sink, or a source of atmospheric carbon dioxide （CO2） and also plays a fundamental role in the health and proper functioning of soils to sustain life on Earth. As such, the objective of this study was to investigate the applicability of a novel evolutionary genetic optimization-based adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system （ANFIS-EG） in predicting and mapping the spatial patterns of SOC stocks in the Eastern Mau Forest Reserve, Kenya. Field measurements and auxiliary data reflecting the soil-forming factors were used to design an ANFIS-EG model, which was then implemented to predict and map the areal differentiation of SOC stocks in the Eastern Mau Forest Reserve. This was achieved with a reasonable level of uncertainty （i.e., root mean square error of 15.07 Mg C ha-l）, hence demonstrating the applicability of the ANFIS-EG in SOC mapping studies. There is potential for improving the model performance, as indicated by the current ratio of performance to deviation （1.6）. The mapping also revealed marginally higher SOC stocks in the forested ecosystems （i.e., an average of 109.78 M C ha-1） than in the aro-ecosvstems （i.e., an average of 95.9 Mg C ha-l）.
