A Distributed Trust Based Secure Communication Framework for Wireless Sensor Network

The wireless sensor network is an emerging technology, which is used to sense and monitor the environment. As the nodes are deployed in an open environment, the security is one of the essential factors. The cryptography techniques can ensure confidentiality, integrity and authentication. However, wireless sensor network also needs to deal with inside and outside attackers. To deal with outside attackers, attacks by compromised or malicious nodes, trust management system is suggested by many researchers in the area of wireless sensor network. Trust management system can be implemented in various applications for security management such as secure data aggregation, secure cluster head selection, trusted routing, access control, etc. Many researchers provide different kind of solutions for these secure applications based on trust management. However, to incorporate, all such applications on a single sensor node in the network, it is essential to design and develop a trust management system, which considers various aspects and applications of wireless sensor network. As a result, in this paper, we would like to propose a parameter and trust factor based secure communication framework and design a trust management system for wireless sensor networks. Our main contribution is to identify various parameters and trust factors which influences on trust in wireless sensor network and developing a framework for a trust management system based on various parameters and trust factors. The working of the proposed model is shown by simulation experiments conducted in MATLAB for the application of secure communication, data aggregation and intrusion detection in wireless sensor networks.

Sugammadex: Role in current anaesthetic practice and its safety benefits for patients

Sugammadex has revolutionized anaesthetic management of reversal of neuromuscular block(NMB) by way of its unique mechanism of action encapsulating the amino steroid neuromuscular blocking drugs rocuroniumand vecuronium. The cholinesterase inhibitors have significant pharmacological and clinical limitations whereas sugammadex allows predictable, safe and rapid reversal from any depth of blockade. The financial cost of sugammadex is significant. Many hospitals in the United Kingdom use clinical guidelines to direct best use of sugammadex in their institutions. Auditing the use of sugammadex provides useful information on which patients are benefiting from sugammadex. The clinical benefits of sugammadex are well understood. No patient should now be subjected to the danger of post-operative residual curarization. versatility in the ability to reverse NMB has brought opportunities to the anaesthetist in the management of rapid sequence induction using high dose rocuronium with the knowledge that safe reversal of NMB is now possible in the unlikely event of a "can't intubate can't ventilate" situation. Do we still need suxamethonium to be available? The nature of surgery continues to evolve with ever-increasing enthusiasm for minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques. There is evidence to support using a deeper level of NMB to improve the working space and operating conditions in laparoscopic surgery. It is now possible to maintain a deep level of NMB right up until the end of surgery with no concerns about the ability to effect safe reversal of NMB. vigilance about the possibility of allergic sensitivity to sugammadex needs to be maintained. The increased usage of rocuronium has the potential for rocuroniuminduced anaphylaxis. Conversely, there is a potential role for sugammadex in the treatment of rocuronium anaphylaxis. Clinicians who have used sugammadex are struck with the quality of recovery seen in their patients. It is important that the economic implications of

A Comparative Study on the Milling Speed for the Synthesis of Nano-Structured Al 6063 Alloy Powder by Mechanical Alloying

The present article reports on characterization studies performed on amorphized nanostructured Al 6063 alloy powder synthesized by mechanical alloying (MA). The as-milled powder was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) for investigating the development of crystallite nature and determining the different phases of the materials present, scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used for in depth morphological study and High Resolution-transmission electron microscope (HR-TEM) was employed to ensure the development of a nano-structured nature of the Al 6063 matrix. In the present work alloyed powder was milled for 20 h and 40 h at 300 rpm;and 20 h at 700 rpm in a hardened stainless steel medium. Using Williamson-Hall equation;crystallite size, lattice strain and lattice parameter of Al 6063 nanostructure alloy powder was estimated with broadening of XRD peaks. XRD results showed that the crystallite size of Al 6063 alloy powder reached 32 and 53 nm after 20 h at 700 rpm and 40 h at 300 rpm respectively.

A Possibility of Application of Wave Flow Method for visualization of Shor States

The present work provides a brief analysis of experimental investigations related to quantum computer creation. The first step to the real quantum creation could be visualization of Shor states. Such visualization is based on the use of the phenomenon of the secondary wave generated by incident electromagnetic irradiation on the object which undergoes screening. This electromagnetic irradiation under certain conditions can be transformed into waves of other type, for example, surface plazmons. The massif from n quantum objects generating secondary irradiation, in principle, can be considered as a route to materialization on Shor cells. In such a way, a system of q-bites of quantum computer can be realized.

New-onset diabetes mellitus after kidney transplantation:Current status and future directions

A diagnosis of new-onset diabetes after transplantation(NODAT) carries with it a threat to the renal allograft,as well as the same short-and long-term implications of type 2 diabetes seen in the general *** usually occurs early after transplantation,and is usually diagnosed according to general population ***-modifiable risk factors for NODAT include advancing age,African American,Hispanic,or South Asian ethnicity,genetic background,a positive family history for diabetes mellitus,polycystic kidney disease,and previously diagnosed glucose *** risk factors for NODAT include obesity and the metabolic syndrome,hepatitis C virus and cytomegalovirus infection,corticosteroids,calcineurin inhibitor drugs(especially tacrolimus),and *** affects graft and patient survival,and increases the incidence of post-transplant cardiovascular *** incidence and impact of NODAT can be minimized through pre-and post-transplant screening to identify patients at higher risk,including by oral glucose tolerance tests,as well as multi-disciplinary care,lifestyle modification,and the use of modified immunosuppressive regimens coupled with glucose-lowering therapies including oral hypoglycemic agents and *** NODAT is a major cause of post-transplant morbidity and mortality,measures to reduce its incidence and impact have the potential to greatly improve overall transplant success.

Failure Mechanism of O-Ring Seals under Extreme Operating Conditions

In this paper the behavior of an O-ring made of NBR rubber was investigated under extreme conditions. The effect of the extreme initial compression, operating pressure and extreme temperature conditions were examined. The rubber material was tested in simple tension, pure shear and equibiaxial tension modes complemented with a Dynamic Mechanical Thermal Analysis (DMTA) to capture the viscoelastic behavior of the material. For the investigation, a large-strain viscoelastic material model was developed by the authors, to take into account the large deformations caused by extreme conditions. Insufficient space during installation causes extreme initial compression consequently leading the material to crack on the contacting outer surfaces. It was found that the excessive strain and friction induced shear stress contributes primarily to this phenomenon. Extreme operating pressure causes the seal to penetrate into the gap between the shaft and the housing. This behavior damages the material and cracks appear on the seal. High strain areas were found in the proximity of the gap in the material. The analysis of the extreme operating temperature showed that during cooling the O-ring can completely loose its ability to seal at -70°C. There are three contributing factors: the speed of cooling, the temperature and the coefficient of thermal expansion.

Post-transplant dyslipidemia: Mechanisms, diagnosis and management

Post-transplant dyslipidemia is highly prevalent and presents unique management challenges to the clinician. The two major outcomes to considerwith post-transplant therapies for dyslipidemia are preserving or improving allograft function, and reducing cardiovascular risk. Although there are other cardiovascular risk factors such as graft dysfunction, hypertension, and diabetes, attention to dyslipidemia is warranted because interventions for dyslipidemia have an impact on reducing cardiac events in clinical trials specific to the transplant population. Dyslipidemia is not synonymous with hyperlipidemia. Numerous mechanisms exist for the occurrence of posttransplant dyslipidemia, including those mediated by immunosuppressive drug therapy. Statin therapy has received the most attention in all solid organ transplant recipient populations, although the effect of proper dietary advice and adjuvant pharmacological and nonpharmacological agents should not be dismissed. At all stages of treatment appropriate monitoring strategies for side effects should be implemented so that the benefits from these therapies can be achieved. Clinicians have a choice when there is a conflict between various transplant society and lipid society guidelines for therapy and targets.

From experience to theory:Science recreation workshops as a practice-led approach in informal environments for science learning

Science recreation workshops(SRWs) create dynamic experiences in which participants discover, explore and understand natural phenomena. This serves as a unique and valuable means of the public communication of science and technology and informal science education activities, with the public at the centre of the process. To achieve this, SRWs integrate action and reflection not as a dichotomy, but as a complementary relation in which sensorial interaction is not a thoughtless process and mental activity is not disembodied. In this way, SRWs create virtuous cycles of meaningful ***, SRW practitioners thus far have not paid enough attention to the development of a theoretical foundation to support their strategies; they remain highly dependent on empirical experience and tacit knowledge. The little attention paid to the creation of a conceptual framework represents a critical barrier for reflection, discussion and, with them, the maturation of the SRW *** work links a characterization of the SRW, built upon empirical experiences, to a variety of learning theories to identify an essential basis for discussion on the subject. Our objective is to complement the rich empirical tradition of the SRW with analytic elements intended to encourage discussion and promote—as tends to happen in activities with the public—virtuous cycles of theory and practice.
