statistical models combined with the local plasma frequency approach applied to the atomic electron density are employed to study the photoionization cross-section for complex *** is demonstrated that the Thomas–Fermi atom provides surprisingly good overall agreement even for complex outer-shell configurations,where quantum mechanical approaches that include electron correlations are exceedingly *** mechanical photoionization calculations are studied with respect to energy and nl quantum number for hydrogen-like and non-hydrogen-like atoms and *** scaled photoionizationmodel(GsPM)based on the simultaneous introduction of effective charges for non-H-like energies and scaling charges for the reduced energy scale allows the development of analytical formulas for all states *** expressions for nl1s,2s,2p,3s,3p,3d,4s,4p,4d,4f,and 5s are *** to H-like and non-H-like atoms and ions and to neutral atoms demonstrates the universality of the scaled analytical approach including inner-shell ***,GsPMdescribes the near-threshold behavior and high-energy asymptotes ***,we discuss the various models and the correspondence principle along with experimental data and with respect to a good compromise between generality and *** results are also relevant to large-scale integrated light–matter interaction simulations,e.g.,X-ray free-electron laser interactions with matter or photoionization driven by a broadband radiation field such as Planckian radiation.

Novel phenomena andmethods related to dielectronic capture and dielectronic recombination are studied for non-local thermodynamic equilibrium(LTE)plasmas and for applications to non-LTE ionization *** is demonstrated thatmultichannel autoionization and radiative decay strongly suppress higher-order contributions to the total dielectronic recombination rates,which are overestimated by standard approaches by orders of ***-state coupling of dielectronic capture is shown to be much more important than ground-state contributions,and electron collisional excitation is also identified as a mechanism driving effective dielectronic recombination.A theoretical description of the effect of angularmomentum-changing collisions on dielectronic recombination is developed from an atomic kinetic point of view and is visualized with a simple analytical *** perturbation of the autoionizing states due to electric fields is discussed with respect to ionization potential depression and perturbation of symmetry properties of autoionizationmatrix *** first steps in the development of statistical methods are presented and are realized in the framework of a local plasma frequency ***,the impact of collisional–radiative processes and atomic population kinetics on dielectronic recombination is critically discussed,and simple analytical formulas are presented.

A corotation radius is a key characteristic of disk galaxies that is essential to determine the angular speed of the spiral structure Ωp, and therefore understand its nature. In the literature, there are plenty of methods to estimate this value, but do these measurements have any consistency? In this work, we collected a data set of corotation radius measurements for 547 galaxies, 300 of which had at least two values. An initial analysis reveals that most objects have rather inconsistent corotation radius positions. Moreover, a significant fraction of galactic disks is distinguished by a large error coverage and almost uniform distribution of measurements. These findings do not have any relation to spiral type, Hubble classification, or presence of a bar. Among other reasons, obtained results could be explained by the transient nature of spirals in a considerable part of galaxies. We have made our collected data sample publicly available, and have demonstrated on one example how it could be useful for future research by investigating a winding time value for a sample of galaxies with possible multiple spiral arm patterns.

In this study,a calcium-phosphate coating was formed on a Mg-Mn-Ce alloy by the plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO).The antibiotic vancomycin,widely used in the treatment of infections caused by staphylococcus aureus(***),was impregnated into the *** with vancomycin showed high bactericidal activity against *** mechanical and electrochemical properties of the formed coatings were studied,as well as in vitro cytotoxicity tests and in vivo tests on mature male rats were *** to sEM,EDs,XRD and XPs data,coatings had a developed morphology and contained hydroxyapatite,which indicates high *** analysis of roughness of coatings without and with vancomycin did not reveal any differences,confirming the high roughness of the *** electrochemical tests,an increase in corrosion resistance by more than two times after the application of PEO coatings was *** to the results of an in vivo study,after 28 days of the implantation of samples with calcium phosphate PEO coating and vancomycin,no signs of inflammation were observed,while an inflammatory reaction developed in the area of implantation of bare alloy,followed by *** release tests from the coatings show a sharp decrease in the concentration of the released antibiotic on day 7 and then a gradual decrease until day *** the experiment,no significant deviations in the condition and behavior of the animals were observed;clinical tests did not reveal a systemic toxic reaction.

Wireless sensor Networks(WsNs)are a collection of sensor nodes distributed in space and connected through wireless *** sensor nodes gather and store data about the real world around ***,the nodes that are dependent on batteries will ultimately suffer an energy loss with time,which affects the lifetime of the *** research proposes to achieve its primary goal by reducing energy consumption and increasing the network’s lifetime and *** present technique employs the hybrid Mayfly Optimization Algorithm-Enhanced Ant Colony Optimization(MFOA-EACO),where the Mayfly Optimization Algorithm(MFOA)is used to select the best cluster head(CH)from a set of nodes,and the Enhanced Ant Colony Optimization(EACO)technique is used to determine an optimal route between the cluster head and base *** performance evaluation of our suggested hybrid approach is based on many parameters,including the number of active and dead nodes,node degree,distance,and energy *** objective is to integrate MFOA-EACO to enhance energy efficiency and extend the network life of the WsN in the *** proposed method outcomes proved to be better than traditional approaches such as Hybrid squirrel-Flying Fox Optimization Algorithm(HsFLBOA),Hybrid social Reindeer Optimization and Differential Evolution-Firefly Algorithm(HsRODE-FFA),social spider Distance sensitive-Iterative Antlion Butterfly Cockroach Algorithm(sADss-IABCA),and Energy Efficient Clustering Hierarchy strategy-Improved social spider Algorithm Differential Evolution(EECHs-IssADE).
